I got as far as this:
Bitcoin lacks the essential attributes that are needed to support a widely recognized transactional currency. If Bitcoin was allowed to proliferate as a currency it would produce greater economic uncertainty, reduced trade and lower individual standard of living.
That was enough for me.
The man is a clown.

He goes on to say:
I predict that Bitcoin will trade for under $10 a share by the first half of 2014, single digit pricing reflecting its option value as a pure commodity play. Miners/speculators will be best served to acknowledge the meltdown has begun, act quickly and take fleeting profit off the table.

An exponential log chart? is this the end of the world??
No, as the chart bases on MtGox, this "exponential correction" just accounts for fiat withdrawal troubles...

Has anyone managed to get fiat out of gox. I have about 2.5k in there
had $2000 left there myself. waited over two months before I gave up, cut my losses and converted back to BTC at their outrageously inflated prices, but at least i got something. FtGox is dying running out of coins to trade. that's hwy the price is so high there. I lost close to 20%. Mark pissed away a billion dollar opportunity with that company.
I also gave up after waiting over 2 months.
They put the money back into my account at my request and I also converted back to bitcoin (at a loss), just to get the hell out of there.
Dreadful place to try getting fiat from.

Nothing would please me more than to see GOX crash and burn.
I sold 4 BTC at around £500 a while back and then spent 2 months trying to get the money into my bank account here in England. It was a nightmare and in the end I asked them to return the cash to my account and I then stupidly bought just over 3 BTC at £650 each thereby losing almost a whole coin.
They are worse than useless.

while this will rise the profile of bitcoin in the UK, and it is good to see that Barclays look like they will let them use pingit to do so, you always could buy bitcoins for cash...... its called localbitcoins.com , and it looks cheaper to me.......
I have used localbitcoins to buy, but using bank payments, not cash.
I am reluctant to meet a total stranger while carrying lots of cash.
I take this guy with me to carry out cash transactions through localbitcoin.com:

Gox wants to break out, but keeps getting slammed by +100 BTC sells, lol.
there people must be really cheesed, and scared. Think about it, first to announce the problem last to fix it lol.
Stopping USD, SEPA and JPY withdrawals wasn't enough of a hint I guess.
SEPA was not stopped.
I spent THREE MONTHS trying to get my fiat out of poxy Gox through SEPA and gave up in the end, had the cash returned to my account and bought bitcoin (at a 20% loss), which I then withdrew, in order to get out of the place.
Just in time too.

I would say the opposite: first they kept the price up 10% above market to lure people into depositing their real bitcoins in exchange for gox dollars (virtual dollars in MtGOX's internal client accounts); while stalling on dollar withdrawals (the conversion of gox dollars into real dollars). The high price also discouraged people from changing their gox dollars into gox bitcoins (virtual bitcoins in MtGOX's internal client accounds) and withdrawing them (that is, converting them to real bitcoins).
When GOX clients began to realize that dollar withdrawals weren't working, they tried to use the bitcoin route in spite of the 10% loss. Then at first MtGOX raised the premium to 20%, and also began to stall on bitcoin withdrawals -- thanks to a providential "malelability bug" that stalled 40,000 bitcoins over several month, but which they somehow could not figure out in all that time.
But those measures did not stop the outflow, so they just suspended all withdrawals and promised that by Monday they may provide an estimate of when they may promise something.
SPOT ON.

Once BTC withdrawals are enabled, the price of BTC on Mt.Gox will skyrocket. Why would you dump on stamp at 700 when you can dump on gox at 900?
Because you can't withdraw fiat on gox.
If I wanted fiat I could take GBP, EUR, or JPY.
GBP?
I spent 3 months trying to get my GBP out and had to give up in the end.

MtGox isn't selling bitcoins, they are selling MtGox-coins. Unlike bitcoins, MtGox-coins can only be exchanged for MtGox-bucks. Neither can be withdrawn.

I wonder how many bitcoin buyers have been lured by MtGOX's extremely low price, and discovered only too late that they cannot get their coins out nor their money back.

I thought about having an epiphany at lunchtime too, but local deli was out of them.
What is wrong with having an epiphany at lunch, grammatically or philosophically? I had quite a few myself.
On the other hand, I think that having an epiphany
for lunch would be unwise, nutritionally. One would feel very hungry by 3pm.

Yes! The epiphany diet! Forget Bitcoin!! I have a new way to make millions.

I'd estimate that this diet is probably healthier than at least half of the other fad diets out there.

Gold and silver are getting dumped. Bond yields are stable, there is no true fear yet.
gold and silver are not being dumped, they are being suppressed/manipulated, there is a difference. rumor i heard is liquidity in bonds is drying up causing bond yields to rise and bond prices to drop .

Am I alone in thinking that this is the true beginning of the demise of bitcoin?

I was castigated on here when I posted this 10 days ago.
I still strongly believe we are watching crypto currencies die.
I want a few apologies when it becomes apparent to all.

Trust me guys, it's all over.
The same people that pushed the price up to its ATH by buying at any price with their printed fiat are now unloading for peanuts.
We all know who 'those' people are.
Did you really think they'd sit back and let digital currencies end their bankster system that the whole world is enslaved to?

Why is it that hardly anybody here other than myself and a couple of others will admit the show's over?
I know it's hard to accept but it's true.
Dark forces pushed it up to its heights in order to be able to obliterate it.
Not just Bitcoin....all digital currencies.
You are seeing it with your own eyes but sill won't acknowledge it!

It takes something quite special to be here five years and still be a newb.
Sold my coins at $500 each.
I feel ill.

It's ok, I paid an average of just under $100 each for them.

The linked article makes some sense, though, at least for me. I don't have to like the situation depicted there, but the author appears to have done some research and underpins the point with supporting (circumstantial) evidence. Preparing for different possible scenarios does not necessarily mean being a party pooper/fudster/shill/troll/whatever.
Thanks d_eddie.

Bitcoin amazed everyone by going to heights that was thought to be impossible. Soon it will amaze everyone again, by dropping to levels that was thought to be impossible.
We’ll just have to wait & see, there’s going to be an absolute bottom at some point & a lot of amateur traders shorting are going to get burnt BADLY.
I’m HODLING until a year or so after the next halving & whilst it sucks (badly) seeing your net worth slump like this at least technically I’m losing nothing as xxx bitcoin’s are still xxx bitcoin’s.
I wouldn’t want to be trading this beast on margin’s now, a lot of people are going to get fucked in the ass.
Let me correct that last part:
... a lot of people are
going to getting fucked in the ass.

Why are you not intelligent enough to know the significance of what you posted? The caption on your picture claims they took control of the market right when the CME opened their doors and then crashed it into the ground. BZZZT WRONG ANSWER. They did not magically gain control of the market when the CME that nobody even trades on opened. They already controlled the market beforehand and were the ones who pumped it then dumped it in the first place.
They were on both sides of the trade. While you were typing "bitcoin is the new internets of money!!111", they were typing "wow, these guys are fucking delusional idiots - the perfect targets to fleece".
Next you'll be telling me the gold and silver prices are not manipulated.

proably some changes will comming..(not very good for usa)
Why do you keep pretending the US is run by Americans or even really exists in the first place? The US as an entity solely consists of scamming Jewish criminals at the banks, and lying Jewish criminals at the media. That's all America is. It also happens to be the same exact model in most nations on the planet. However, this power structure is nothing more than a frail paper tiger that instantly implodes once the bread and circuses fail to appease the mob, then the mob expels them from the country - either alive or in boxes - just like they've been expelled from countries over 100 times before.
You are absolutely correct in everything you say.
This whole world has been totally fucked over by these evil bastards.
The parasites have now reached the point where they own all the banks, all the media, the entire entertainment industry and the Luciferian bastards sit back laughing as they feed the dumbed down masses total shit.
They stage false flags, start wars and have an agenda to wipe out most of the world's population over the next 20 years.....The Jew world order is here to stay and anybody that fails to see it is has been succesfully brainwashed and indoctrinated.....mostly via the bollocks they are fed through their televisions.
I should add that I am talking about Zionists here.....Many, many Jews are also anti Zionist.
