There's still a million dollar wall at $70. What are the chances that someone will get us past that?

With your graceful permission, I will repost here my
recent findings.
Summary: Bitcoin could act as the world's reserve currency in 2013 and after, as gold did in 1913 and prior. This would give
BTC1 = $300,000 in present dollars. Please comment on the analysis, not the outcome.
A few months ago I did the same assumption
"Bitcoins becomes as popular as gold"
according to my calculation
there have been ~17,000 tones of gold mined in total (Wikipedia)
there will be 21 million BTCs mined in total
I came up with a price of 450,000 EUR or USD (can't remember which but who cares!

)
Our numbers are very close
lets say 375,000 USD----> then---> EUR
I love you guys.

Haven't heard much lately about the MtGox verification queue. Anyone know how backed up they are currently?
When I queued up last Friday I was at position 20000, now I'm at 9800, so it is moving.

Why are you verifying ? To make a withdrawal or pay money in ?
I have a feeling most of these verifications are for withdrawals.
Put money in right now. The only withdrawals I'll be making will be in bitcoins. Vive la Bitcoin!

It went up, now it's going to go down somewhere between $110 and $120. Won't go anywhere until Monday most likely.
Looks like it went down to 125 and is rising again. XD

I don't see a drop below $120 for right now unless a big seller comes in. It stayed around that price all day.
Selling after a Saturday rally sounds like a bad idea to me. There seems to be a lot more buying pressure than selling.
I agree. I suspect we won't see it go down until it rises a little higher. I'm thinking it all depends on $150, we'll either hit the wall and then crash, or break through and possibly touch the ATH at 266, possibly higher, before someone panic sells and causes a crash.

Correction: Has been eaten. And is now over 126 as I write this.

Meh, it was a bank holiday in Japan. I'm assuming tomorrow will be much more exciting.

Yep...although I just realized that it's 2:00pm Tuesday in Japan right now, which is not a bank holiday.

Ok, now count me as very hyped.

What an eloquent bitcoin super-bull. I love this guy! And I think he's correct, "this is the time where people should be trying really big crazy things".
If I didn't already have all my money invested in Bitcoin, I'd be investing the rest of it in bitcoin.

It was 2:00pm in Japan when I made that post...

6k
BTC will take us to $95.00.
I have a feeling that apart from today (Friday May 3, UTC) we will never more have the chance to visit it.
Official Reason: the capitulation of 2nd Fibonacci order from the strong bull move, of $50->$167, leads us to $95, but no lower. (The third is $78, which means that should we cross $91 today, it'll be irresistible, and the the fourth and so on, but
the chance is small, imo.)
Also sub-$100 prices just "seem too cheap".

I am willing and able to just accumulate below $100 myself.
We are in a secular bull market as long as Bitcoin adoption is growing, and I see no proof to the contrary.
I'm curious how you think the coin lab vs. Mt.Box lawsuit will affect prices.
http://gawker.com/so-a-currency-that-fluctuates-wildly-with-the-ebbs-and-487994806I'm still relatively new to the BTC market, but surely the price would go down further in light of such news.

Friendly advice - ignore whatever he says, bullshitometer wants to explode as soon as he appears. You've be warned, do what you want.
I don't like discounting others opinions unless they do something to seriously piss me off, and he has yet to do that. Nevertheless, thanks for the advice.
Do you guys think the lawsuit is going to affect the price?
Personally, I think it will drive the price down in the short term, but long term it might be a good thing. The more decentralized the better.

Seleme is the most expensive sockpuppet out there, the account is created about the time when I won the infamous debate "silver vs. bitcoin". I was representing silver, that is...

I think trading on news (such as the lawsuit), is more difficult than trading completely without them. I haven't in general followed the media since 2002 or so. I don't read analysts, newspapers, watch TV or movies, .... I have been featured in TV many more hours since 2006 than I have spent watching it.
This frees my time for thinking fundamentally. I am a very bad technical trader, but better than 99% as I make money and don't lose my position.
Your posts certainly give me something to think about. You may not be 100% correct on short-term predictions, but your posts are well thought out, and I can respect that.

Who the hell is buying at those prices...
Sometimes I don't understand this market at all. I swear.

I'm more interested in who's selling. $90s is cheap considering it was over $150 last week. I actually might buy back in if that wall stays like that(bought in 80s, sold at $95).

theirs a thread in meetups.

My guess is it's some asshole country bumpkin who just won some lottery money and doesn't know any better. He heard about the Murican Bitcoin during a commercial while drunk off his Milwaukee's Best watching "Ow! My Ballz!" and just plopped some of his winnings on Gox without any further clue.
If so he makes better use of his winnings than most (most spend it on trivialities)
Those are the ones you hear about. There are also many you don't hear about and, considering they kept quiet, might be doing something good with the money(like starting businesses).

Do you put silver pots on your head, hang it off your ears, and generally pour silverware all around your body like a lunatic?

If I had that much money? I don't think I would care much about public opinion. Hell, I'd make all my silver into a suit of armor and run around town in it. XD

Risto got his 700 btc ...
now worth 76,693.08 USD
92,000 was what he paid
(+ bank fees for sure)
When he sell them for 300k a piece in November and bank 200 millions you'd wish you haven't posted this

If he has any bitcoin when it hits $300k I'm sure what he posted in May will be the least of his concern.

The obvious question now: what are LR users going to transact with instead?
And how many people had money sitting on LR. Seems like a fairly big deal. Without Dwolla, I'd imagine LR was a fairly big chunk of Gox deposits. Surprised no one is talking about this, they were down all day Friday. Maybe not that many people used LR.
Wow this is HUGE big shitz, LR is a gigantic washing machine with millions transiting, many exchange business that deals with LR also do bitcoin, like Aurumxchange. Expect big Losses due to this shutdown for whole digital currency community.
Well BTC is Monopoly now , heck i'm turning ubber bull, i'm holding btc for long, to hell with short term trading.
What do you mean, "BTC is Monopoly now"? Bitcoin is anything
but a monopoly. I don't get it.
Sounds to me like he was referring to the boardgame 'Monopoly'.

i think the market is smart enough to realize things will get worse b4 it they get better... but they will get better.
because cavitrex is based in canada, for me sending money to the exchange is free, and as easy as paying my electric bill online.
the same can be true for a USD based exchange... not sure what's taking so long?? coinlab stop jerking off and do something!
I'm talking short-term of course. It's only up from here long-term, but after the drop to $124 yesterday, any bad news has the potential to drop it lower.

Is there a max page limit?
It would help if it didn't show you every single page. Need some "..." in there.
