Don't know if this has been mentioned but looks like Silkroad may be down for a while:

If this can be solved by modifying the tor client software running the silk road .onion, then it will be a matter of patching and redeploying the hidden service. I haven't given up hope for a faster solution, but if one can not be found, then we will move to a semi private scheme where users will be given access through many private URLs. Yep, whales and scared sheep getting out of Bitcoin after the 266 lalapalooza. Only down from here. Finding perhaps some temporary support at $87. Double digits undoubtedly in a few hours, even if just testing.
What is it about $87 that makes people think there will be support there? Don't see any wall, is there a psychological component I'm missing?

Interesting that every single alt coin on btc-e has fallen significantly today. They usually follow bitcoin to some extent but not like this

Probably because their prices are based on pure speculation, while bitcoin does have some utility. Thus when a drop happens, confidence is lost without fundamentals to rely on, making for much more volatility.

Yeah Bitfinex might be a better choice than BTC-E, a very legit operation.
But for the time being I think anything is better than stamp.
The bitstamp/bitfinex spread is getting huge. Very strange.

I'll try to answer here: we used to include Bitstamp orderbook into our own orderbook for liquidity purpose. In other words, we were arbitraging between our own platform and Bitstamp. However as we continue to grow we decided to slowly (and I insist on "slowly" 
withdraw this arbitraging program to let people do the arbitraging themselves. This is why you started to see a difference between the price on our platform and Bitstamp, as arbitraging for third parties is interesting only after a certain threshold (around 1% like now is not a very good opportunities). http://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/27vq6b/why_the_large_difference_between_bitstamp_and/ci533wgAh, so this is the end of the mixed orderbooks with BFX/Stamp. Still doesnt explain why Stamp is crashing and the other exchanges are just following out of confusion.

The price in China suddenly stabilized and was flat for 45 minutes straight, and volume fell to very low levels -- even though trade is usually still strong at this hour. And now trade is picking up again.

This sure looks wierd. Whoever started the dump from cca $620 can't get back in at the moment, as there are far less sell orders to take us back than the amount that's been dumped since then. Someone is going to get burned hard IMO.
Only ~700 coins back up to $620, it could rebound fast.
