Wild theory indeed... but something weird seems to be happening at stamp... Last couple of hours someone has been using 15BTC and 30BTC bids to push and pull the price a little bit... right now placing them a full 2 USD above any other bid, its pulling the price up to 1004.
Due to my staggering lack of experience, no conclusions
just observation
PS: first post, been reading along with you guys for a while, thanks for the useful info in the last couple of weeks
PPS: the 999/1000 USD psychological effect was pretty evident as well, like killerpotleaf said

the dip got me a bit worried too, but yeah the way it's immediately bouncing back up makes me think we'll come back to 1000's nicely... let's see what the americans think of it when they get to work in a few hours

Opportunity on stamp... BTC/EUR price is about 10 euros too high compared to BTC/USD... if you dont mind having some euros on hand for a little while untill you can buy again

Whales seem so keen on having the price around 1000... some of these orders are ridiculous, right now there are about 500BTC for sale just above the $1000... and when the buyers start chipping into it, they get refilled to precisely 75.00000000 or 100.00000000... one is even 300.00000000. Thoughts?

for the next 72hours any deviation (up or down) from 1000.00$ will be swiftly corrected.
during that time resistance will dwindle while support strengthens.
after which we will slowly break away from 1000.00 into the 1020, and then 1040, and then 1080
and then BOOM overnight we are above 1200, and we continue to climb at steady pace.
couple of weeks later the trend is unbroken, as we near 2000,
BOOM THE ETF is approved, the crowd goes wild 2500 in <30 seconds.
but then... well then.. ha... we watch as 300 billion dollars try to squezz into the tinny tiny ETF.
Muahahahaha!
Im missing the 'free ducati motorcycles for everyone', but otherwise I see absolutely no flaws in this prediction hahaha

i did a test run on paper why if.... i mean what if i buy now etc... it's really hard at this point to see if up or down... the orders are moving fast and the field is not clear... result don't touch it now
I split 50 / 50 on fiat and BTC and wait

and those are not even the big ones... yesterday or day before that there was a sell order for 300.00000000BTC@1002USD... just sat there for at least 24h

That phrase was thrown around a great deal in 2014/15. It was usually a good signal for another few weeks of absolute nothing. However this time around there are many more interesting factors brewing.
considering selling at current price (makes decent profit) and putting in a stop order to buy back in case price rises above 1015... I figure if it breaks through that it will keep on going for a while. Smart of dumbest idea ever? Worried about a big drop when I'm not paying attention...

Disregard... brainfart. Keeping position and putting a stop order in to keep damage controlled in case of a drop.

Ah, but it'll make it all the sweeter when it arrives. I remember someone on Localbitcoins had an ad going for ages urging people to make history by being the first to pay £1000 when everyone else was a few hundred cheaper. I think that's a reverse psychology too far.

On Kraken the resistance at 1120 EUR seems to have been broken and we're going up... but only by a little bit. If we can stay above it for a little while, I think the trend upwards will continue.
