Any ideas why the exchanges are speculating a drop to 1723 in the short term?
http://www.bitcoinforecast.comAlthough this is not always correct, bitstamp nailed the most recent drop within a few bucks.
What a bunch of fucktards having an anti-trump disclaimer on their site. The label has the typical "trump be raycist" statement, but all the word racist means nowadays is white people that refuse to be cuckolds for brown people.
No, racism has not narrowed itself down to fit your narrative of it.
Honestly, I respect your trading posts. I think they are well written and show insight. But whatever politics you have, you would never trade them - and your skin color - for being a black person getting stopped by a white cop. Would you.
I hate to break it to you, but there's only 3 real powers in this world right now: whites, jews, and asians. Everyone else is just some type of pawn or insignificant bystander while the murderous death cult known as international zionism actively plots against everyone else.
"
I am the only living witness but I must say the truth. Contrary to the opinion of the National Socialists, that the Jews were a highly organized group, the appalling fact was that they had no organization whatsoever. The mass of the Jewish people were taken complete by surprise. They did not know at all what to do; they had no directives or slogans as to how they should act. This is the greatest lie of anti-Semitism because it gives the lie to that old slogan that the Jews are conspiring to dominate the world and that they are so highly organized. In reality, they had no organization of their own at all, not even an information service. If they had had some sort of organization, these people could have been saved by the millions, but instead, they were taken completely by surprise. Never before has a people gone as unsuspectingly to its disaster. Nothing was prepared. Absolutely nothing."
- Erich von dem Bach-Zelewski
The world is a place with lots of incompatible people, religions, and cultures.
The only incompatibility stems from being afraid of what's different.

If the sort of dystopian, hyper-inflationary future that gold bugs predict actually happens, it seems likely to me that there will be jackbooted thugs kicking down their doors to take their gold. This has happened before, even in the US.
If they want to steal my bitcoins, they'd better be able to crack SHA-256.
Or crack your knees with a hammer until you give them your private key

Probably fake ~2000 btc buy walls at ~ $1980 and $1920 on bitfinex, saw them appear suddenly earlier today

What do you think about the two ~2000 btc buy walls around $1980 and $1920 on finex? Fake and they will disappear on the way down? I saw them appear suddenly during the morning

I don't expect the price to recover so quickly, but those are the breaks.
Not when the financial news section about bitcoin currently reads:
This grotesque bubble is blowing apart right nowOnce R0ach started to up his troll game I knew I was probably going to be wrong. But ye gods, I still don't get it. Impending chain-split shouldn't equal moontrain according to any maths I ever heard of.
Well you were right about the maths, but you were wrong about expecting investors to be right about the maths

Not that I am betting on it, but I think this Segwit on Bitcoin is way more important than it appears on first instance.
Most people don't realize that if SegWit had gotten approved a few years ago, it would have essentially been a non-event and the market would have responded with a whimper.
The only reason that anyone places any significance to it now, is because the miners made it a point of contention to hold back upgrades. They made a mountain out of a molehill. That is really all. And the mega whales are playing it for all its worth (not really that much).
Now Bitcoin is free to reach any price that is right for it, whichever that is, without the weight that was holding it in favor of other shitcoins.
Not saying that we are going to do a 25x as Ethereum or other shitcoins did this year.... but yeah, I do expect a higher ATH sometime soon and maybe a 2x by end of year. Call me a fool.
The right price for it is the price reached when most buyers are users rather than speculators looking to make a profit. There has been heavy speculation going on lately. The rise in April/May was due in great part to bitfinex's withdrawal issues, with more and more speculators buying as it rose, and it never really corrected
In about 5-6 hours we will be in BIP91 lock-in

So be ready

Price will explode even more

Did anyone see this latest crypto scam? Right as BIP91 looks ready to pass, Bologniex freezes Litecoin market out of the blue then immediately dumps it upon un-freeze (
because BTC with segwit is probably bad for LTC). Looks like the type of shit you would see with people trading on their own exchange:

Now after this statement (in bold)you are going on permanent ignore. Before I just thought you were a shill for the gold industry, now I know you have no idea what you are talking about.
What a dumb statement. The LTC market dumped, backing up exactly what I said. It's you in the wrong obviously. Unless you want to try and pull the phony argument that the market trades in LTC/USD pair, but any actual trader knows alts trade against BTC pairing. Alt charts make absolutely zero sense using USD pairings. Alts are derivatives of BTC, not USD.
I would say the dump is due to the fact that over the last few weeks a lot of people moved their BTC into LTC to avoid the BTC uncertainty, and now that BTC is rising hard they're moving back their LTC into BTC.
Though my guess is we're gonna see a BTC dump as soon as BIP91 locks in

How does everyone feel about Goldman Sachs making the right price call? It makes me feel somewhat icky.
I feel it is going this high partly because of what Goldman Sachs said

Roger, you wanted big blocks and you're getting them with BCC (8M). Honestly you should support it now instead of waiting for Segwit2x which is 4x less increase. If your logic works both ways, we can expect you to dump all your BCC if the 2x gets adopted.
Am I the only one here who feels you're trying to manipulate users who still trust you with this scam?
I feel that he doesn't want Segwit at all, he only supported Segwit2x so Core UASF wouldn't go through. He wants BCC but he doesn't want to go all in on it yet in case it doesn't get enough traction, so he plays along, for now

Cost of production to mine anything in space will be astronomical so you're wasting my time even mentioning it. You might as well claim we will mine gold inside a black hole or alternate dimension. We would probably attempt to mine metals 2 miles under the ocean long before space but that is of course no threat to anyone buying at current prices.
http://www.planetaryresources.com/http://deepspaceindustries.com/Cost to start mining will be astronomical but so will be the quantities mined. Asteroid mining is not that far away in time. Privatization of space industry is bringing down costs. You don't really know whether the costs will be so high that the market won't be flooded enough to keep the price of precious metals down.

Lol, this is complete bullshit and those companies are basically Buttalik Butterin IPO scams. It's such bullshit they can't even create a valid infographic of what said mining would look like. Does this look like something you're going to see anytime soon or even a valid way to mine in the first place? LOL. Let me guess, the structure on the left is a Dyson sphere they're trying to maneuver around the sun to start up the miner (which probably also mines bitcoin at the same time):

That's a futuristic concept art, you don't need that kind of structure to start mining an asteroid, and it's not a Dyson sphere. You don't have to maneuver kilometer long asteroids, small ones will do, there are ones passing close by Earth, you don't have to go to the other side of the Sun or something.
It will probably be a couple decades but you shouldn't be so dismissive of it, especially if you're betting all on precious metals

I do agree that even the BTC-E issue could be somewhat bullish. Let's face it, that exchange was operating completely out of any basic regulation.
There's something wrong with this statement - that seems to be applauding the strong arm of government, and likely stealing and loss of user funds because of governmental actions... The fine of $100million on BTC-e is outrageous and exceedingly likely to cause user funds to be used in either defending the actions or paying the fines.
I don't know if the situation is bullish - even though silk road ended up being bullish, merely because bitcoin was in a different place at that time, and the death of bitcoin had been greatly exaggerated.. there could be some bullish aspects that could take a large quantity of bitcoins out of circulation for an extended time?
There are still lots of people who know very little about bitcoin except that it's used by cybercriminals and it went bankrupt a few years ago when Mt Gox got hacked and all the bitcoins got stolen and the bitcoin CEO got arrested and it's a big scary black box as far as they are concerned. If they hear that the Mt Gox hacker got caught and the good guys are taming the wild beast, it will seem a little bit less scary. Bullish.
You are correct that the large majority of regular people who might get into bitcoin do not really know too many particulars, so there could be ways in which BTC-e ends up being more bullish than what would otherwise reasonably be expected.
You really believe it is the "regular people" who were suddenly responsible for the 7,000 btc trade volume on bitfinex during the one hour pump? That was just a whale pump.

Most people buying bitcoins nowadays know absolutely nothing about whether it does or doesn't have some type of fundamentals ...
This is the bitcoin market:
You are the worst kind of idiot roach because you know enough to be a danger to yourself and everyone around you but clueless to the limits of your knowledge, unwilling to acknowledge any such limits and brimming with self-conviction in your tiny bubble of wisdom, surrounded by a universe of ignorance that you are in complete denial of.
You've totally over-thought this and somehow managed to be smack in the epicenter of intelligence for the biggest bull market humanity has ever known ... and conclusively missed it through your own arrogance. You will go down in history as one of the biggest losers ever, in all sense of the word ... right up there with jstolfi.
Buy bitcoins, it really is that simple, even for a fucking dimwitted drooling retard like you.
When bitcoin supporters are like you, you know something is wrong. You have no well thought-out reasoning about why bitcoin will "go to the moon", that's just what you want to believe, and you phase out anything that's going contrary.
There are many more uncertainties about the bitcoin you hold than you realize. Much more risk about going all in in bitcoin than you realize. Some people will get burnt hard over the next few years.
