You seem to be indicating the mass pandemics / disasters that make the wealthy less wealthy and taking that as some kind of an equalizing force. The truth is, the real disparity between the rich and poor keeps on increasing. At least that was the case until the industrial age kicked in.

And now only thanks to the advent of internet and perhaps to some degrees, cryptos, the wealth that was accumulated by the rich for eons, has trickled down to the economically weaker sections of the population.

As far as I know, there are very few instances where the poor are given a solid way to claw out of poverty.

Ever since it was promoted through ZB, it gained a lot of momentum. And its prices aren't really affected either by BTC' or Eth's minor tumbles in price (in either direction).

I am guessing this is because it is not yet fully exposed to the global markets, but with the recent additions in so many exchanges, that's starting to change. How big of a market cap do you think Vsys needs to attain before price swings of btc / eth would start to affect it in a more observable way?

2015 was the strongest year for Dollar post 08 crisis. And in 2016 dollar was just beginning to fall again. The 2017/18 btc run was a time when dollar only slightly weaked each year.

Although this is too small of a time frame to make a prediction, but does your theory hold out here?

When BTC became significant in 2010. A $100 from 1799 was worth $1,772.81. It is now worth. Today it is worth $2,085.84. So yes, dollar did lose a lot of purchasing power but saying that directly transferred to BTC somehow is wrong.

Investments into btc is not just from dollar hoarders. There are a lot of european old money in it as well.

A falling wedge is a bullish pattern (reversal) or a continuing trend (unlikely in this case)

My lines are drawn hastily through a mobile screen on tradingview and it is not meant to be taken too seriously as I am not qualified to predict financial markets. I speak from experience - which is again, not that expansive.

A rising wedge is a bearish pattern.

The case right now is of a falling wedge, not a rising one.

However, if you closely look at the charts it does not completely satisfy a falling wedge requirement either. Smaller breakouts have happened on either side of the resistance lines and that could be indicative of an unstable market, fud, fomo (of opportunity cash out) etc you name it.

And whoever was saying that chart painters manipulate people or whatever, hah! I am not a chart painter. I find it fascinating and try to learn about it. Like I said. I am not qualified to be a TA so I won't pretend to be one.

To me the crash seems like a case of someone buying into BTC in huge volumes. Probably some institutional investor, government or whatever. And a different group / entity wiped that entire gain after June 2019 out of the market by dumping hard.

These two events might have been marked by extreme criticism and extreme appreciation of BTC by someone big.

I cannot afford to hodl if it goes beyond a certain number. Since I get paid in BTC per month, I will have to immediately switch to a stable coin upon getting paid if things get that bad.

I always have to cash out after a while but I hodl for as long as I can. But these days prices are swingy on the edge of a coin, so I might have to switch out to a stable coin the moment I get paid, in order to not lose value.

However, it is still a matter of IF since there might be a bullish tendency in a few weeks, I, like the rest of us, might just have to wait and watch.

For you though, I don't think you need to be worried from such swings. You don't draw your salary at the end of the month in Bitcoin so you're safe from such swings and can hodl out longer. Also given the fact that you've been buying for quite some time, makes it all the more easier.

However, I think I can feel your pain when BTC goes south.
