yes the dust is clearing.
but will their be another bear? I'm counting on it....
hmm.. we are pretty much still in bear country .. but if a retest of the lows @450 hold .. and it shifts back in the favour of demand . then the bears had their turn ..
and the market is ready for an advance .. or rangebound betwenn 450 -650 ..
but hey if an rally atempt takes out 630 .. we are pretty much set for another rally

Oh boy, China is awakening and if Gox breaks through the $700 barrier, we will be getting VERY close to confirming no dead cat bounce.
Very interesting to see what happens here. Wall is building at $700 so I do not think this is going to be easy. How quickly we move through this resistance will let us ALOT about where and how fast we are going.
Back to the trend line... carry on.
Based on this chart , one thing is for sure , buying into weakness is the way to go !!
just look at the high volume bars , all of them happen on declines (sell offs) but someone is holding the bag ! .. effort vs. result ?

We are at 50% of the $900->$450 correction. Just like we were at $165 on the 24th of April, when the second bear run started. This is not over until we go above 700$.

remember Price+Time = Value.. ie. if we stay above 800 and or near the ATH .. this will lead to common conclusion that this former rejected price is now considered fair !

if the actual indecision resolves itsway in favour of the bulls . ie. breaks out to the top , a momentum surge to the upside could be a potential result , with a rallie towards ATH
however there is also a chance of a range between pot. resistance 860 and pot. support 760 .. with 800 beeing the fair price..(800 is considerd fair as of now)
however a sign of strenght is that a former indecision (smaller TF) , was resolved to the downside . but price traded back .. ie pot. weakness was bought ! and that action is the current low @760

He did give up advance warning of his Saturday night sell off, which I'm equating with that well planned multi-exchange 10K sell off.
I don't think he's gonna time stamp it for us... but he's not all out.. so why is it people try to troll him as if he doesn't have the required BtC to reap the rewards of to the moon scenarios.
I certainly wasn't trolling, the question was genuine interest, I too have respect for rpietila's opinion.
I think the current position is on a knife edge, we could go either way.

I think the tide is turning. Lower highs, no really buying pressure. Sentiment is turning and the warning from China all scream trend reversal. Smart whales are likely seeing the same. I say chances of a big dump are higher than breaking our ATH, let alone hitting $1,000.

I am not saying its not going to happen but I will do as I have always done and react as quickly as I can when movements are made. Maybe take your emotions off your sleeves?
pretty easy strategy right now would be ..
bracket current highs / Lows .. (sell stop @low 758 / buy stop @high 856)
let it ride if executed (momentum) .. if it turns against your inital position give it room to correct till 50% ~800ish .. if that breaks get out and let the other trade on!

China is down -5.7% over 3 days.
Also the arbitrage is closed, which means that west will have to raise the price to $1,000 by themselves.
We are also more than 2x ahead of the long-term trend, which is a very extended position.
Bid/ask charts are quite tilted towards the latter. Especially noteworthy is the lack of bids $700+
Volume is low.

We can celebrate, but let's not gloat guys.
I, for one, praise the S2X camp for achieving the internal consensus to pull back from the brink.
We will eventually, in a safe and orderly manner, address their concerns regarding scaling.
In the end, they behaved like rational adults. Perhaps we can have nice things.
Notice how every time a contentious fork either launches and fails or gets cancelled, the Bitcoin price goes up (not down).
