Can someone explain to me how such a low volume of trades (compared to april of last year) can raise the price this high?

http://data.bitcoinity.org/#caaadafjaaYou have to measure volume in USD my friend, as the price is going up.
Even in BTC terms, trading volume is historically high.
You've just got to consider all the exchanges.
I guess I didn't take into consideration the other exchanges. Thanks for those charts tho!
So say BTC becomes THE global/national currency. For shits and giggles, what do you think that would put the price at? Additionally, those who hold over 1k
BTC (which is a solid handful) would have such an influence on our economies. I don't want to discredit anyone who was an early adopter of bitcoin...but if the above was to come true, wouldnt you be worried about the power some of these people hold?

+1 To this really nice article.
FWIW, no I'm not worried about the 'power' that early btc adopters may hold-- my tinfoil hat rebuffs it.
Yeah it was just a thought, and someone above made a good point. He'd rather see power in the hands of liberal BTC holders which i can respect.
