Tzupy was right. I couldn't imagine this low. So bottom reached or more down?

Can't be sure. But even if this was the bottom, for about a week we could go sideways, building a triangle that would break, probably up, so no need to rush buying.

It was a good run! Wasn't it?? Cheesy Cheesy

Those suck whale traders that kept buying...  Cheesy   Cheesy  ... Increased my BTCiTcoins by 30% Trololol.. Cheesy Cheesy ... "hai multzani!"

But I'm just gonna hold from now on... no matter what happens. Draw u'r stuff from exchanges and we will see each other again in June - July on the next rally! Cheesy Cheesy

Looks like the US is heading towards a constitutional crisis at best and armed clashes between civilians at worst. Question remains how BTC would react in such a scenario? It's not a given that prices would rise imo.

Well, since a lot of ppl see bitcoin as a gold 2.0, it would skyrocket during a hyperinlflation event after the fed tries to decrease the national debt. not sure what you mean by constitutional crisis, so idk. but the way i see it playing out is Janet Yellen trying to make Trump administration look bad by mathematically creating another crash then hyperinflation similar to 2008, but on a larger scale.

So how long until PBOC tries to squash this rally too?  Roll Eyes

I don't really think that the Chinese squashed the last rally.

O.k.  sure there was some about a 30% correction that happened to come with the announcement and the FUD spreading, but the reality of the matter is that some of that correction was already due.. whether it was the chinese excuse or some other excuse for a correction.. did not really matter too much, there was a kind of need for a correction... so no need to get panties in a twist over figuring out exact causation.

BTC literally dropped as soon as PBOC made the announcement that they were going to investigate those major exchanges. That 30% drop could not be more directly related the PBOC squashing the rally. If that did not happen, btc could potentially be at a $20 billion market cap by now. ppl around the world are waking up ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

once upon a time.
bitcoin was on fire, 15 daily greens in a row.
then on the 16th day, it looked toppy.
some one cried out " IT'S GONNA BE A RED DAY!!!!!!!!!! "
it turned slightly red.
everyone panicked.

They never made any announcement saying they were investigating any exchange, you will notice the only "news" agency reporting such were Bitcoin affiliated sites.

http://shanghai.pbc.gov.cn/fzhshanghai/113571/3230012/index.html

"Urged the platform in accordance with relevant laws and regulations to carry out self-examination and the corresponding clean-up and rectification."

OK so? if u still believe the correction came because "muuh 8888CNY technical analysis" then you're delusional

does anyone think FOMC meeting today will affect the bitcoin price after decision?

if i recall, every time federal reserve keeps the federal funds rate the same, hold will shoot up, and US dollar index will go down. As The Fed continues to prop up our fake economy with artificial interest rates and skewed inflation, and bitcoin seems like gold 2.0, wouldn't it make sense for btc to price to shoot up after meeting?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ga3maNZ0x0w  im gonna watch it live here to see what happens, but i predict Federal Reserve will keep its main rate on hold at 0.50-0.75%.

CME group shows probability at 96% of the federal funds rate staying the same, so it could already be priced in.

As long as the Fed keeps rates unchanged, the fake stock market will continue to hit new highs despite all the negative/falling economic indicators to the contrary. Once they begin to raise rates, the house of cards in the market will start to crumble.

because as people begin to realize fiat currencies controlled by central banks contantly depciate in value, they look a currency that is decentralized and not controlled by any central entity. so the market cap will just keep rising as people keep waking up. going towards the true value of $800,000 per bitcoin!! xD  Smiley

Not up on this, but does HaoBTC and/or others have 'satellites' outside of China proper? (or plan to do so?) thus just all exchanges getting the heck out of China proper
will be the end result of all these heavy handed (imho) actions of Chinese authorities?

ASSUMING above is true. CAN the masses in China move Yuan still in some manner outside of the country, with the exchanges located outside, in a large manner to support
BTC yet? or will the great 'firewall' of china hold on such actions with BTC exchanges outside of China?

(or who the heck knows?)

well I wanted cheap coin to get back to 100 btc on my hoard again. Seems it has come to pass. (conflicted...always conflicted....want one thing cheap coins, then I get
cheap coins...then freak and want price to go up for BTC and vice versa...sheesh) Sad

IMHO the real question after all the PBOC/China drama how many "real" coins are on those exchanges?
The timing can't be better:
1. First fake volumes (no idea how many coins they handled)
2. Fees got introduced (volume drop by 90%)
3. Withdrawal stops (sorry guys we have been faking our books but we can't fake the blockchain, we don't really have your coins)
4. Use your imagination

I am not sure for the rest, but the first bar (BIP91 LOCK-IN) I believe the black bar represent the 269 out of 336 blocks (80%).

For the one below, the black bar represents current signalling for BIP91.

Not sure about the rest of it though.

$5k psychological resistance is demolished like a cheap rice paper house in a firestorm .... now new upside targets?

I'm recalling $6800-$7200 region was important for some reason back when the climb began, doublings from $300 and all that stuff.

$9588 is masterluc's  original 'top' call before he started throwing out numbers like $19k and $90k more recently (but unsure if they are for the next bull run or this one or THE final run).

$10,000 obviously will be an attractor because ... humans ... numbers with lots of zeros and zeros on the right hand side hold special fascination for humans, maybe because zeros look like boobies, who really knows?

Whatever the number I'm picking it will be achieved in a short time frame ... train is in off the rails territory now.

I have set to see a convincing argument for what shape the fabled S-curve adoption will finally take, my best guess at the moment is a sequence of insane rapid vertical moves and violent pullbacks making up a kind of steep-stairway-to-heaven formation up the vertical part of the S-curve, with not much time between climbs and only short correction phases ... but who the hell knows how it plays out from here, its up to the psychology of the monied masses and infowars that are being waged upon them by their ever more nervous handlers. I am very intrigued how the S-Curve of Technological adoption cause larger and bigger short term bubble on the way up.
