Is it just me or there is more influence coming from the U.S of A based on the potential catalysts Roll Eyes...

And what's happening with the Asian influence on crypto because once upon a time these where major drivers of crypto.

This race will be important:

- Weak Hands that have sold
- Those who sold in ATH
- Those who bought in ATH
- Institutional money

Everyone will buy BTC again, the result, some holdlers more and the price of BTC to the moon.

The upcoming bitcoin halving, the race to buy btc is on because before you know it the market will be crypto starved! Come on BUY, BUY!!

That’s all very good and well.  But the only alt coins that have shown any value to date so far are stable coins.  And even they are quite dubious.  Tether and Dai have shown us that current stable coins are not stable.  They had one job....

Until we have at least one alt coin which has achieved something, I’m afraid your argument has no practical application, and is of theoretical interest only.

I personally cannot believe that tether still exists.
Reason behind it been still alive could be because of the marketing strategies been used by some exchanges to try and keep tether alive and relevant by paying with tether certain tasks on the exchange Roll Eyes

It's great that a city has many merchants that accept Bitcoin, the only thing missing in this, is barely anyone is spending their Bitcoins to buy things. Everybody just in hodl mode. If we want true adoption start spending and paying for things in BTC.

I mean I’ve gambled with bitcoin then sold some & rebought but I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything with bitcoin.

They take Bitcoin.  And they are bloody good. Hopefully obvious why you would use Bitcoin and not your credit card.
Still interested in spending your btc??

I've bought many things online but to be perfectly honest its just too much of a hassle to use in real stores in my area.  Its usually an area that claims to accept btc but the cashier doesn't know how it works and has to get help from the owner, and the worst is if they make you wait for a confirmation even though it is a 10 dollar transaction.
You know what, that's a smart owner!
if you are going to go to a store and be economical on the fees, you pay the price... ''WYSIWYG''(what you spend is what you get) Tongue
The store owner might have had some bad experience with this and chose to go with the basics of waiting for atleast 1 confirmation, which is okay with me because you have to account for any possible double spending that can cancel out the first transaction and you are left with a negative 10 dollars. So better safe than sorry.

Would rather just use my card and be in and out.
Hope this doesn't count as advertising other service providers but wirex can save you with the same service as your visa or mastercard provider, just exchange you btc to fiat before getting to the store.

I actually like the lower fees, but at the end of the day people are just going to shill whatever they hold and call everything else a scam.
If it is as scam , call it as it is! SCAM!!

Why can't we have multiple bitcoins, the main one as the store of value like gold and have the other versions for small daily transactions.
NO offence but there can only be one bitcoin! Multiple versions of bitcoin doesn't change anything, those will forever remain as ALTCOINS !!!

"Fake cryptocurrency apps appear on Google Play"

Quote
New fake cryptocurrency apps crop up on Google Play as bitcoin prices rise, ESET researchers have found. Two fake cryptocurrency apps—"Trezor Mobile Wallet” and “Coin Wallet – Bitcoin, Ripple, Ethereum, Tether” app—have been spotted on the Google Play store. According to ESET researchers, there was an “overlap in code and interface” of the two apps. The apps have since been removed from the store.

Not good when they're targeting hardware wallets, that's scary stuff. Be safe and check your screen for confirmations and never enter your seed words.
Why does all this look like someone trying to put their invisible hand in the current mobile operating system war....

Coincidence? Maybe...

By the way, Craig Wright actually is Satoshi for one simple reason: if it were not so, would now be shown the real Satoshi by move BTC from the old address. There can be no such thing that no one knows who Satoshi is, the community would certainly have reacted in an exhaustive manner to the grant of a patent to Wright if he were not Satoshi. Creator or Wright, or an alien from the future, the other can not be
Why do I get the feeling that this is a typo with some words missing somewhere giving us the wrong message of what was intended to be said.

Anyway I know for sure Craig is a wannabe Satoshi, even if he was going to move those million bitcoins wouldn't believe him lol !

I like the reasoning, education will literally give children the tools to survive in the future....metaphorically speaking education teachs them how to fish not being spoon fed by giving them fish which makes them lazy. I am sure not everyone will agree with this because of parents trying to show their love and all that.

The market is so volatile at the moment, the price is swinging in either direction a significant amount, multiple times a day.
In the name of volatility I would prefer having a bull on the lose and maybe see an all time high at the least than battling with the resistance wall.

It pains me to say this but believe it or not so many people buy this stuff, possible reason why BTC hasn't gone to the moon!

With so many of these bitcoin copy cats(altcoins) it's likely that people who have never used the real bitcoin(BTC) and just hear about it could be the most likely to buy because they will be blinded by the ridiculous low prices or the manner all the bitcoin are indexed.

Otherwise the sequence goes on like that:
6.You get your coins in your KYC account,
7.You retrieve your coins to your private wallet
8.You spend your coins mixing them with your OLD coins
9.Coinbase knows you control also all the other funds.
10.US Government knows you control also all the other funds.

I make sure to explicitly use Coin Control in the QT client, to have absolute control of what inputs go towards any transactions.

Learn to use Coin Control. It's your friend. I try to spend oldest inputs first, and try not to mix inputs - if possible - depending on the size of the transaction.
With all these tools at our disposal, I will soon be privacy paranoid to avoid the dots been connected about myself especially without my concert, but for people like us on the forum I honestly think making the connection isn't a difficult task at all if you really need to make the connection.
