@roach:
Thanks - the only non-NPC comment so far.
So basically Bitcoin in your opinion has been irremediably corrupted after the introduction of LN, right? what's in your opinion the closest things we have to a sound decentralized cryptocurrency at present time?

Contains a lot of misplaced commas and a familiar ring to it.
Is that you faketoshi?
Yeah Sherlock, it's me CSW talking rubbish about myself in every other post.

People above 6000 they bought all the time
Now there is no pump!!!!!
Ver, Jihan & Wright are dumping their BTC to fund their little hash war. They'll run out eventually...
Indeed.
https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BCHABC_USDT https://poloniex.com/exchange#usdc_bchabchttps://www.kraken.com/chartsBCHABC price on binance: 240; on poloniex and kraken: 235. Very close.
https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BCHSV_USDThttps://poloniex.com/exchange#usdc_bchsvhttps://www.kraken.com/chartsBCHABC price on binance: 100; on poloniex and kraken: 70 This means only one thing about binance buy orders..
Faketoshi sold his BTC and is pumping the buy order books for his BCHSV.. only thing he's just doing that on binance and still not on poloniex and kraken lol.

Dropping but still the best coin around. Can't see it going in the 1000-2000$ territory as some say. No way.

Just read this on biz. Made me laugh so I thought I'd share it:
>>> Yeah fuck 2018. Got arrested and ruined my life now I'm financially ruined. Trump not doing any of the shit he said he would. Family won't talk to me. Homeless until I go to prison. Sitting in McDonalds. Nowhere to go. Fuck 2018 and I almost made it
Poor guy though, I'd gladly help him out if I could.
Thinking of him, sitting at MacDonalds on his last days of freedom, browsing biz in front of his laptop, watching his cryptoassets fall to oblivion.

Go to mexico, open a burro show, buy coins with earnings.
Would be hironic for an American Trump supporter to go enter Mexico as an illegal alien and steal their job ha!

Bitcoin's hash rate is dropping considerably right now.. bit concerning because it drops too fast the difficulty adjustment may never happen. Actually difficulty adjustment is an intrinsic threat.. if ever bitcoin had to go through a hard fork, that's something I'd fix (not sure I'd hard fork it though).

Except that's not happening in BTC. It is true the hashrate has remained in the same range since August and currently it is on the lower side of that range but it would need a considerable drop for that to be any "problem". Also, as soon as the hashrate goes down moderately over time the difficulty adapts. I will be worried when/if I see a sudden significant drop of hashrate. Other than that is just pure FUD.
Yes but doesn't need to go to zero for it to be a problem.. imagine a domino effect with low hash rate in which people start to rush and panic because they can't sell because nothing moves anymore (because no miners, and so on and on).

That happened with IXcoin a while back - and it took a couple of months with virtually no blocks generated before we got the difficulty back down
Some people consider IXcoin a great "testnet" for Bitcoin in regards to running a blockchain, incentive for only tx fees, since all coins have already been mined.
According to the website:
"All 21 million coins have been generated (April 2011 - October 2014)"
Strangely though the chain is still generating 1 coin block reward.
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ixc/#Interesting indeed. Where do the new coins given as reward come from since all the 21M coins have been mined already?

One thing which currently doesn't help BTC is there's two competing chains both mining BTC and BCH and dump BTC in order to keep going.

No...in the long run this definitely helps BTC.
They need to dump BTC and start using that hashing power for the US military's weapon systems for aiming phosphorous bombs at children.
How does that help btc?

every time bitcoin falls after the peak of 5 times, below will not go
250 - 50
1000 - 200
20000 - 4000
Yeah that's true.
I also don't think it will go below 4000 even with the bcash shitfest.

Is it wrong that I'm enjoying watching CSW and his shitcoin self destruct? He just needs to blow through the rest of Calvin Ayre's money and then I'll be happy to see the BTC price to rise again.
Calvin is such an intresting guy. Did you know he was feted as “Philanthropist of the Year”? It's true becuase that's what is says on his own Youtube channel - I shit you not:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CHQ4LvfcscI would like a hat with a pile of poo emoji if that can be arranged.
It's an interesting war indeed.. particularly fun the SV side as they often throw threats, allegations, etc
https://twitter.com/CalvinAyrehttps://twitter.com/proffaustusDefinitely exciting to do some nice flippings at the right times, trading-wise.

One thing is for sure guys.. with Ayre said he pushed legal action against them all (and always mentions Kraken) and Kraken saying they'll "socialize their losses with SV holders", do not keep your SV on Kraken plain and simple. Yes it is trading at -30% of Binance price but if you really want to buy it, there's still poloniex or bittrex.

Has everybody started buying AGAIN now?
I bought pretty much all of my coins in 2014 & am still HODLING most of them now. I decided to stop buying when we went back to $1000 after the Gox crash. Seeing that we reached $19,xxx last year though makes me think these are cheap coins atm.
I bought some the other day & am thinking about buying again today.
So who’s buying now or are you waiting to go lower still?
Congratulations for holding since 2014, balls of steel.
Myself, buying, and will keep doing so even more if we go below 4000, which I don't think will happen as total market cap for the entirety of bitcoin in the world is already low enough.

Eliott wave has always bothered me because they pretend markets are practically deterministic in nature where an input from long ago automagically means something will happen in the future instead of markets being constantly changing, on the fly events.
Completely agree with you on this.

One question guys.
Craig Wright and billionaire Calvin Ayre keep bragging about those 100+ patents they've got.
They say their Bitcoin SV is going to impose itself not only over the other Bitcoin Cash ABC, but even on Bitcoin (BTC) and that's due to those patents. They basically wanna play the same game huge companies have been successful with (see Mastercard, Apple).
Of course many of us (me included) hate this kind of behaviour, but I'd be interesting to hear your comments about the odds of them somehow making it because of those patents.

Let's blame etherium. "Internet 2" my ass. All it accomplished was setting a horde of crooked shitcoin tokens on the world. I hated that crap from the getgo for good reason.
Haha, Etherr has started its defeat about 3 months ago. now only $ 122 at CMC. if you do it ...
you will make it lose more, and be followed by other ERC20 tokens

The issue with eth is that it has no utility right now - no more ICO's, no use case, no demand and bottom prices combined with the bearish sentiment.
Indeed.
ICOs are over thanks to SEC and thanks to the 99% of them having been pretty much scams. Casper, sharding and POS won't change the fact that ETH is doomed.
This is why ethereum-wannabes such as NEO and EOS also have no future.

The bottom will be somewhere around 10x BCH price
1.6k is to be expected.
I won't completely rule anything out, but I suspect that we'll never drop below $2k. While we're likely to touch $3k, I think that anything below $3k is upwardly-unstable.
In the absence of some underlying catastrophe, the absolute floor IMO is $700, which is where we were 1.5 years ago. But many of the gains since then were real & fundamental.
Who to trust most regarding price speculation?
I think I’ll go with theymos tbh!
Haha indeed.
Sound analisys by theymos.

Bitcoin SV raising dramatically.
Just read this comment on infinity chan:
they don't even rent hashwar anymore
1. bitcoin sv declare they give rat's ass about the bch ticker as their plan is way more ambitious
2. coming big news on the coingeek conference
3. you think they've been dumping btc to cover the cost of rented hashrate? that's the tip of the iceberg. the money will flow straight to pump bchsv as they know it's the markets (as both of ayre and wright often say in their twitter) who decide; we will assist an attempt from sv to flip btc
sv will raise dramatically in price, however from the current 100$ it would be reasonable for it to fall back to 75-85 before raising again, which you can use at your advantage right now.
The part about those cronies being responsible for the recent drop of BTC could make sense.

Correct, but we do care about possible reasons behind bitcoin's recent price drop.
