In one material read that chinese are superstitious because trading in accordance with the phases of the moon ...when the moon phase rise ... then buy - when descending then sells .. descending moon on 14th november..
Hmmm... So how do we manipulate the moon so chinese only buy? How much do you think it would cost to hide the moon from the chinese when it descends. May be very worthwhile investment.

Is this a sole "contrarian view", or are there more who expect a proper correction right now?
I think the price doubled because of the halving, and it's not going back down because the miners don't have as many coins to dump. There have been double tops without corrections, and cups without handles. Chart formations don't always work, unless somebody has coins to dump the price isn't going back down.
I hope so. I think these price increases are great for bitcoin. I hope it keeps going up and I keep making money!!!

I would guess that it comes from dividing the marketcap number by 21 million.
I don't know enough about economics to know if that is a good way to calculate price. Thanks for sharing though.

I don't want to ruin the hype but who is buying when the price is so high? I see $777 and all I can think about is those poor folks who bought at $2000. How much higher do you think it is going to go?

Is it 2024? Nope. Then I need to calm the fuck down and continue my day. This was a 10-12 year plan and the only thing I need to remember is that if it goes really really low, buy some more.
If it drops below $200 I may be pissed off.
If you are investing long term why do you check the price daily? Price right now shouldn't matter to you.

Which of the below you think is more true?
1. When the price is kept just above $900 you fear it will drop into the 800's.
2. When the price is kept into the high $800's you fear it will go into the 900's.
I think the first over the second. This could be a little whale psychology: whale(s) accumulating vs. whale(s) exiting.
When price is > 650 I fear it will crash
When price is < 600 I buy buy buy
Very simple. I think btc isn't worth $800 or even $900. I do like seeing moon rocket though. Good fun

About patriarchal vs matriarchal societies, I think it's clear we're transitioning from a male dominated society to a more male/female balanced society. In nature there are successful examples of all types of these hierarchical organizations. Female dominated species aren't less violent in general by the way, but we do see that in the more balanced animal species there tends to be less aggression, more cooperation and the differences between males and females are also smaller. So I'm sorry if you are a testosterone driven male human who feels like only men are uniquely qualified to run our society, but your days are numbered.

I see we're holding on to yesterday's gains... $977USD (Bitcoinaverage) and keeping 2017 in the green.
A little consolidation following yesterday's little rally is a good thing. Taking a breather between legs up will probably lead to a better sustained rally past $1000 and on to the awaited ATH.
Do you day trade or do you just like following your investments?

Only the religious people, or poor people, whose only wealth is in crypto are actually paying for things in BTC. One of the important rules with crypto is that never believe your own bullshit sales pitches
All the cryptos are currently pretty useless outside of speculative play.
Maybe in the future, we will have a crypto, that is convenient enough to actually be used a practical form of payment!

I agree. Bitcoin is the only remotely useful crypto. All the other ones are just speculation.
