BitStamp worked well during this flash crash. It's just not acceptable exchange to bug during these movements.
Well Gox had up to 20 minutes of lag during this crash, or at least that said the API. I think it is not acceptable after the mess we had back in April.. They've had A LOT of time to fix their systems...

At least the exchanges are holding up this time around. The damage is much less and I can day-trade. Great BTC returns today.
Mmmm well... BTCChina down, Gox with a 20 minutes lag when started to crash... Not really holding up very well.. I wonder if they are being attacked once again... Definitely, it is really odd to randomly see Incapsula page when trying to access BTCChina..

Hmm, btcchina has been up for me. Gox has had < 1 min lag since I've been watching. May have missed the 20 min lag tho.
Apparently it is depending on location..
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=329621.0The lag problems were during the first 30 minutes of the crash...

After reading this thread I conclude that we have two kinds of speculators here: bulls, and ultrabulls.
And pedobears...

Does anyone know how big of a dump it was accross all exchanges?

Its times like these that Bitpay and Coinbase are involved in a game of hot potato with merchants and buyers.
Its times like these when Coinbase, Bitstamp, Gox et al, make most of the revenue thanks to operational fees derived from buy/sell craziness...

If humans keep abusing Bitcoin then nobody will take it seriously and we will be holding digital nothing in our hands next year.
What is "holding"? Is it like hodling?

A lucky guy from another forum had some of those (joke) orders in the 100-200 range at btc-e. He was a well-known anti-bitcoin and refused to buy in for more then $600.
He's still crying out of happiness...

An idea like Bitcoin is exactly the kind of stuff that book burning was invented to combat.
Precisely...
Printing Press == Free thought
Bitcoin == Economic Freedom
