you bulls will never learn

enjoy this brief period in triple digits while it lasts
+1
The wall was tested and fell..that means one thing..im not gonna buy yet...i think we are going to go much lower...maybe not today though.
That wall has been breached in both directions multiple times for the last month.

That guy putting up and pulling those walls is a tard. The more he changes his mind the less credible it becomes. I hope some guy puts in a massive buy order at 110 and eats it up. Will be a great lol for me

Whoa, 8000 BTC wall around 105. I wonder if that will scare people back down to double digits.
That wall is as fake as they get..
Yet it is somewhat effective..
Only till someone buys it up

Bid wall at $105ish was as fake as the ask wall sitting at $108
LOL

Looks like a bearish pennant.
Shouldn't the bottom line be straight to call it a bearish pennant?
He might call it bearish because the bear trendline (going down the tops) is steeper than the bull line (going up the bottoms).
I wanted to post the same chart but many others here beat me to it.Something big is going to happen around May 13th. I lean slightly to the bullish side thank to recent positive news but where it goes is anyone's guess. For anyone who has some surety as to where we will go next: It's either time to buy coins or buy fiat. Movement is coming

How cool is it that the bearish highs and bullish lows have converged on the one month anniversary of the big crash from 266?
Mere coincidence or divine forces at work?

If this is true im floored by how much bots contribute to volume. I must be a dinosaur here, tradingwith my brain, eyes and mouse

There's nothing "divine" about a month, though. arbitrary human construct, no?
Maybe not divine, but a month is not arbitrary. It is based on the lunar cycle.
Thank you, was just about to post this

How are you traders doing with this volatility?
I sold a few at 113 and could have bought in for 1.5 BTC profit, but barely missed it and only made .2 after panic buying before it got back to close to 113.
A few days ago I took some profits at $119. Queued a buy order at $106 at the same time and it triggered while I was sleeping last night.
I was a bit worried at first seeing the price sit square on the longterm trendline at $105 when I awoke. Any further downward movement would, to me, be trigger another downwards breakout but I'm glad I held and the recovery we're seeing here is a great demonstration of confidence (though not exuberance, which is a good thing) in the market
My trading activity is thin these days. Reduced volatility makes things a bit dull but its good for the economy overall.
Occasional events like this are still good opportunities to make a few bucks though which keeps things interesting

Smart trading. Well done for applying planning and patience.
Thank you. To be honest, i wasn't expecting my buy order to hit. Was a just-in-case thing. We've showed amazing stability of late. Bitcoin sure has a way of surprising you when you least expect

As much as I like the fact we broke through 125, I am concerned about the trading volume (or lack thereof) lately. The current price levels can hardly be considered meaningful when a single large order could wipe out days-worth of gains (or losses).
From the past few months of trading activity we know for a fact there are huge players out there who just aren't trading now, they just sit on the sidelines and they're waiting for something. If they decide to get back in, it may not be pretty

Both fiat and BTC are saying "bye bye" to Gox.

I'm not sure I infer that from the charts. Ask orders going down yes, bids holding steady yes, and price steadily increasing (with highest price amongst all exchanges) implies to me that a rational trader would be keeping BTC on Gox at the very least. With bid sums staying where they are I don't think its conclusive to say fiat is leaving either

We're getting major lag spikes. Haven't seen these in a while

On a more serious note...can anyone here speculate as to what has driven demand these past few hours? The only significant news in that window was the Nikkei crash.
Are people really seeing bitcoin as a safe haven? Or is something else at play?

That was one hell of a big sell order. I just hope whoever cashed out put those coins in smaller decentralised hands. Last thing we would want is another big player scooping those up only to dump them all at once again later on

Face it guys...I'm pretty damn sure the man with the big walls wasn't looking to buy. He probably pulled them because he was afraid someone would sell into them...its been happening a lot lately...
If the price doesn't break 80 tonight then he sure wasn't looking to buy and he gets to wear the cute little manipulator name tag i've got set aside just for him

That bid wall got eaten in minutes....thats why if i was a whale I would be deathly afraid of trying to manipulate prices upwards with a bid wall near market price. The risk of them getting eaten is ridiculously high right now

I haven't seen that many bubbles but I don't recall ever seeing one where the bottom was immediately followed by a massive unstoppable bull run?
Am I crazy? Too cautious?

is that a wall on 70?
the ask wall on 110 is clear, but the bid walls are not so clear... its a scary slope
There are almost insignificant 'major' walls at 70 and 80 and thats pretty much it
Having said that...I do not think a whale is dumb enough to dump big amounts of coins into thin bids like that. Unless:
1) He was trying to cause a panic
2) He felt that buying pressure is well and truly exhausted
3) He felt that a rally is
imminent out of the question without his intervention

Selloff to 93 now....this bullrun may continue yet, but if we drop below 90 its not going to be pretty
Just realised as well that these are low volume sells. Hopefully the big players don't start panic selling. One big sell can easily plunge the price back to mid 80s

I cant see it happening. Megabull still has plenty of money to manipulate us up, I bet.
Thin bids tell me that the market is experiencing buyer fatigue though....mr whale may decide this is as high as the price gets for the short term and start dumping?
It'll be interesting to see how west coast americans react to this as they wake up.

My guess: we hang around $85-ish for a while.
If we can hang steady at any price level for at least a month (give or take a week) I'll finally be able to cover my short with a clear conscience. But there is a nagging voice in my head we only see medium term stability near an all time low in the death throes of capitulation. My 70% portfolio still in BTC and not fiat hopes that I am wrong
