If by facepalm, you mean "this guy just won another 0.23BTC, and I didn't," then sure. Whatever you say.
Besides, I pinched off 0.2BTC in the first place just for random betting. If I lost it, I wouldn't bet anymore from it. I've currently won about 1.2BTC in 2 days without paying any extra. My next plan is to simply add the winnings to my account, and keep playing with only 0.2BTC, so I have a net gain in case I lose my betting fund.
Cool Story Bro. That's a lot of money.

I just feel more comfortable with fiat at the moment. If it goes up, I'll catch it up, I'll lose a bit but that's fine, just don't have a feeling the risk of staying behind is bigger than opposite.
This is the main problem with people in the bitcoin world. You trust fiat more? you certainly know that bitcoin can either go to $50 or go to $200 in a day, you just need to be patient and buy/sell at the right times. With fiat, well.. you have fiat, that's as fun as watching paint dry and by that I mean, slowly but surely that inflation is eating it up..
Yes, I trust fiat more at this moment. I've trusted bitcoins more for days before yesterday. I'm not investor, I'm trader and I'm not going to look my coins dipping to be worth 15/20/30 dollars less without selling and trying to buy more and have them more if I feel that's what I should do.
I don't care what anyone thinks about it, as long as volatility is as it is I'm not hoarding my coins, specially as I don't have enough of them to just wait to become rich

at some time.
So, you do your stuff, I'll do mine. I'm not here to help your mined or cheaply bought coins being worth more, I know that's what early adopters want from people but I couldn't care less about their coins and what they want

, I'm here to make what's best for me

If I lose all I've invested in btc, I won't lose a sleep, I've never invested more than I can forget.
+1 THIS, jeje ...

Stopped by the ask wall at $70 early Monday morning in the USA. Two hour goxlag-blinded drop below $85 to reach the wall and bounce back. Mt. Gox wall-busting volume over 25000 each of those two hours. Clark Moody ding-ding-O-Meter chatters like a jackhammer with red orders flying past and huge spreads between bid and asked.

3.0th class supernode = BTC100
Woohoo I am a supernode! (means nothing)
Not much, really

When you start to do something productive, then your actual influence will increase. If you don't, then you are a sleeping giant. Your call.
In February, nobody knew me. Now, everybody knows me. When I have finished the developments I am about to achieve, I will move on to other things.
Then the on-topic part: I think the walls permit bitcoin to rise to $119 in a bold move. Afterwards I go to sleep and not post, and the general bullishness erodes, and the bears push the price back to $106. We will not see 100 ever again.
Goat: it's OK,
I understand this is crazy and too soon, but it is also crazy that Mark and Peter fight against each other. I don't have as many bitcoins as you, but I do this for my own bitcoins' sake, and
I would appreciate a tip if you think my work is useful to Bitcoin as a whole, thank you!

Angry If rontus had been working (fortunately he only works about 50 hours of 168 per week, and generally not on Saturdays, and even of his working time, I only give him authority to sell short about 30% of the time, so this is purely of theoretical interest now) he would certainly have smelled the trend change and managed to sell about BTC430 at an average price of $113.2. Then I would have told him to buy back at $103 (he is better in selling but my buyback levels are more spot on).
Agree, you'r buying instinct is state of the art. Those 700 bought at 134 day before 40% crash is the move of the Master tactician

I prefer to think that the strength of the resistance is important, but equally important is the move required to reach it. It is like marching armies to a battle.
Sun Tzu writes:
Thus, if you order your men to roll up their buff-coats, and make forced marches without halting day or night, covering double the usual distance at a stretch, doing a hundred LI in order to wrest an advantage, the leaders of all your three divisions will fall into the hands of the enemy. The stronger men will be in front, the jaded ones will fall behind, and on this plan only one-tenth of your army will reach its destination.
If you march fifty LI in order to outmaneuver the enemy, you will lose the leader of your first division, and only half your force will reach the goal.
If you march thirty LI with the same object, two-thirds of your army will arrive.
You have a certain buying pressure, but if you want to conquer something that is 100 li (about 25%) away, no matter how weak it is, you will certainly fall. After such a move, sellers smell any sign of blood, and the 61% retracement is sure to happen. (This is pretty much my trading strategy: only sell after this move, because you cannot really lose)
If you need to advance 50 li (12.5%) and then demolish the wall, half of the buying pressure is already relieved, and likely the wall will hold. Even if it falls, the chances are great that the region will be revisited sooner or later.
After 30 li (7.5%) you have a mighty power to attack a wall, but even then, the victory is not sure.
good point ...

It could just be a pump move, so people erroneously believe that the buying pressure is huge. As soon as the same person with the wall at $100 decides to dump his coins once there is enough depth above that point, he can just remove his bid wall and there we go down.
EDIT: that huge wall makes people interested in buying to place their bids above that wall to have a chance to buy something, hence the price goes up
this ... i was too lazy to go that deep ...
edit: and it works seemingly, the amount of bids above 100 is rising ...

the problem is clueless newbs and paid trolls, who are not deleted at the instant that they post personal insults against a senior forum contributor.

Quadratic growth is a special case of a convex function, and should not be confused with exponential growth, a better-known growth function. "Convex growth" means "increasing at an increasing rate" (the second derivative or second difference is positive), while quadratic growth means "increasing at a constantly increasing rate" (the second derivative is positive and constant), and exponential growth mean "increasing at a rate proportional to current value" (second derivative is proportional to current value, which is positive; this is because the first derivative is proportional to the current (positive) value, hence (taking derivatives) second derivative is proportional to first derivative, hence (proportional to proportional is proportional, second derivative is proportional to first derivative). That is, quadratic and exponential growth are both different special cases of convex growthhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadratic_growth

For 1btc to be worth $300k, it would mean that bitcoins has a market cap of 330 trillion dollars. That is, 330 trillion dollars would need to be spent in buying bitcoins. That is not going to happen. Not this year, not this decade, probably not even this century unless we get an American Zimbabwe.

max 50 sec as far as i saw ... not to bad
Not too bad? It's completely unacceptable.
not in serious/professional markets, your are absolutely right
but hey, this is bitcoin!, this is MtGox!
what do you expect?
based on earlier experience every lag below 1 minute is a low lag

didn't you know before entering the market?

could be fake asks in between there

Asia knows how to do things right. Most airlines in Asia have a policy where flight attendants are 26 years old or younger. Once you hit 27, GTFO of view and go sit behind a desk. Here we're stuck with 50 year old hags who are constantly pissed off.
I think it is more about the attitude than age. Both here in Haikko Manor and in American Airlines, some of the female staff are over 60 years old, and service is like in heaven. They know what they do, and do
not get pissed off no matter how busy you are. I think the balance needs to be there, I would personally not be happy if everyone was younger than me - if nothing else, that reminds me of my mortality.

It's getting old listening to people complain about volume. Volume is awesome!
The speculator driven volume of April got us into trouble, we don't even want that.

Looking at the past week, not April.
volume was not enough yet to confirm break out of triangle IMO

We'll see, but could easily be a false breakout.
or maybe the triangle wasn't drawn correctly ...
meaning that there are more important formations still valid
like the other triangle exposed here earlier with upper line @125 ...

Not sure if "false" breakout is the best way to describe it, but yes, I expect price to go up somewhat shortly, oscillators say we're pretty oversold.
who said up? altough mid-term bullish (long term i hope people wont need no more money) originally I expected a false breakout downwards before going up ...
now, as price did not establish above 120 due to low volume there is even more chance of a down swing ...
we shall see and act accordingly ...

Reading many of these comments just reminds me of the blind, ideological and delusional thinking of the Napster cults. Faith is necessary I get that but some of this stuff is just craziness. The more I read these forums, the shorter Bitcoins lifespan becomes to me. I''m currently at 2 years tops. That's not because Bitcoin is not awesome, it's simply that too many people behind it are irrational and lack common sense and logic.
I plan to make as much as I can off of it while I can, but my sights are already set on the "iTunes" of crypto.

Mind to explain? In my book we broke upward the main triangle of doom.
stoch
rsi
mac
but accu/distru looking fine as always
(thats why I am mid-term bull)
regarding that triangle;
it may have not been the predominant formation
and the volume breaking was not significant enough anyway
hence there was no consolidation above 120 much less it passed 125
(120/125 is high resistance zone)
so we may have seen a false break out if any
so we could be up for the second breakout, down this time
which also could be false, which wouldnt surprise me as the market loves to fool people
will be very interesting to observe volume at time of break and later turnaround
but this are just my two satoshis

that would be some pretty ridiculous people
if the price action is "boring" paying attention results more difficult
which could get dangerous as soon price starts to move suddenly
more so as stop-orders are not the most convenient in the bitcoin-market
so it could be just serious but careful people
