I don't like the idea of bots posting like this, it is just spam. The charts themselves are 99% unintelligible in my opinion.
Ban it I say, if the owner has something worth sharing, he can share it himself

$2100 by tomorrow of course
now Australia will legalize Bitcoin too, that means some more million people will join Bitcoin eventually and price will go to the moon
Bitcoin has never been illegal in Australia, taxation has been unknown and vague, but never illegal.
<- Aussie who has been in bitcoin since 2011
Edit: We are a pretty conservative bunch as well, there is never going to be a million of us with bitcoin anytime soon. I've been telling friends about bitcoin for 6 years, talking about the stupid amounts of money I've been making, not one has bought any themselves yet.

Can the very off topic discussions stop, and go off to some other thread? Less economic policy arguments and more Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion, for which this thread is for.

So is it August 1st wherever it's supposed to be August 1st yet?
August 1 12:50pm in New Zealand and bitcoin still working, so looks like everything will be fine.

Yes, its 1am UTC, when is this meant to be happening?

Raise the hand whoever is still waiting for $850
C'on, don't be shy.
When africoin posted
Guys
$800 is coming
And Vinny lingham indicator just confirmed sub $875
Sell your coins at the best price you can get
Prepare to buy lower
This is not a drill
It was $~1200 range an I got a 50% haircut.
Now my only strategy is

I did similar things back in 2013, and I'm at 30% of what I first had back in 2011.
Had I had my initial stash, I would be at my trigger point goals, selling large potions, taking 6 months off and building the family home, but for now I'm holding and waiting for $10k

That being said, my first car out of college was a 1980 911 Carrera targa so I understand the desire. It is a fun car. Paid 10k for it. Paid much more than that in repair bills over the 5 years I had it.
I had a '91 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 once. AWD, Twin turbo, 320hp stock. Car was heavy but it would haul ass. The coolest feature was it had both a front lip spoiler and a rear spoiler that would tilt down when you hit 50 mph, and the rear wheels would flex in the curves. I bought it used and had it 5 years.... sold it for $3K more than I originally bought it for, lol.
Galant VR4 was my first car. Paid 4k for it and daily drove it for a few years. Its off the road as a project car now, with the goal to hit 600hp. I've been doing all the work myself, but I've poured way more money into it than bitcoin. Had it had been the other way around, I could have a Veyron now, but it is the journey that counts.

We need bigger block sizes, our fork will be able to handle 8x more, this will bring so much more activity.

Shit like that should be fucking rejected.
Should be a network rule that if there are sufficient transactions to fill a block, that if you don't >90% fill it then your block is invalid.

I was sort of sympathetic 'till that last part.
Umm... no.
Just my opinion, it is completely up to the network to decide what is valid, and if I was to have my say it would be made invalid.

That is a very linear rate.
Is there a limit to the propagation rate of new transactions dumped into the pool? Say I dumped in 40MB of TX in one go, would it take 6 hours to show up on Johoe's chart over time?
If not, then it has to be a single person who has a spam generating program that they are turning on and off to do this.
