Someone is running a bot on BitStamp that buys exactly 1 BTC at the lowest ask price every minute. (If there is 1 BTC available, otherwise it buys whatever is there.)
Costs about $7700 to run that bot for an hour, let's see how much ammo it's got.
That isn't a bot - that's Bitstamp creating fake trades to pump its volume numbers and feign liquidity.
Quite a claim.

It's simple, MtGox says they will accept Litecoin soon, the price rises 1-2 dollars. They fail to deliver, it drops 1-2 dollars. Once it finally is on MtGox, it will do the same.

Yes, but the recent rise is definitely due to MtGox's press release. Same with the last few rises. I wouldn't be surprised if Gox picks up a bunch of Litecoins over on BTC-e before they release the press.

Not at all, we're bouncing around the high 80's. It is probably going to stay stable for a while and then go up just before going back down. It will stabilize at a higher value.

I think someone, probably a mainstream firm, is accumulating a large inventory of bitcoins in a methodical manner, steadily increasing the price without letting it run away, but securely holding each price breakthrough to maintain the value of their holdings.
The pattern has been consistent as the various major ask walls (88, 95, 100, 110, etc) have fallen. Buy through the ask wall, drop a good sized bid wall, let the market run with the uptrend, drop another bid wall, rinse and repeat.

This waiting game is awful. No whale bidwalls to re-assure us; no whale asks to scare us. Nothing. Its just a game of waiting for the first massive market order followed by a wall. Market buys that dont cleanly take us over 150 seem irrelevant to the market right now. So, if the price really does go up, its probably going to have a bid wall on 150, leaving anyone who sold below 150 stuck buying back at a loss if they desire.
And I'd imagine if someone decides its time to go down, we'll have a nice ask on 140, since there is no depth below that.
A 10k sell takes the price to 130.. another 10k? 119... Another? 110. No depth above 120. Its just weird it hasnt filled in at all over these past few days. Murky waters are expected following such huge price changes, but its had time to build.
Anyone have some opinions? Is this just a 125 repeat where just when market sentiment flips, "they" buy, or are "they" done?
Seems like bitcoin is gaining more utility and not just sitting on exchanges.

Right now Gox is where the big money that wants in is - just watch the news, all the financial media quote the Gox price, and there is were the big boys go - to buy BTC, not Goxbux. On the contrary, the US guys that want out go to Bitstamp, there's no other choice apart from OTC.
When the $1k barrier is broken on Stamp all the hell will break loose.
