I sent a tx from my wallet using the normal fee suggested (it used 6927 sats for a 225 bytes tx) and received one from exchange with a fee of 18258 sats for 373 bytes.

Result is:

my wallet's tx included after 3 blocks.

exchange's tx included in the first block.

I think mempool must be mainly full of sh*t... just a thought from a BCT lurker.

Just curious...

Does anyone here have a number in which they will sell their coins in the short term or are most of you staying for the long haul?

I own 0.01 BTC and selling half of them at 100k EUR  Cool

From the times today.....

Biggest fall in bitcoin blamed on the Chinese
The value of bitcoins, the cryptocurrency, created by technologists to circumvent state-backed paper money, suffered the heaviest fall in its 23-year history

China killed bitcoin (again)  Angry

Satoshi mined thousands of BTC secretly for years before releasing anything to public in 2008. HUGE dump coming soon! ..   Cheesy

"The Hidden Premine of Satoshi" will be a better movie than "The rise and rise of Bitcoin"  Grin

Last week some of my friends invested in bitcoin too. We have so much fun at the moment.

I kept buying bitcoins during the past weeks and I can confirm I have so much fun too at the moment.  Grin

What in the hell is going on with Coinbase/GDAX right now?

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

It is called pre-announced scheduled maintenance.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

 Roll Eyes

No, it's called a colossal fuck-up that resulted in a flash crash on GDAX.

You seem to be exaggerating.

In this case, GDAX completely cleared its books - so when it came back online, there would have been no orders... and yes, I see that there appeared to have been some kind of selling all the way down to $.06..

Would have been nice to pick up a few BTC at those kinds of prices...

I would not call that a "colossal fuck-up." because they came back online as scheduled... the order situation seems to have been some kind of aberration based on a thin order book..

Except for the fact that they fucked up both 1broker and bitmex customers. Luckily for them their losses are going to be compensated by the owner from their pockets.

Sorry guys, best place to get an answer for this please. Apologies for the double post.

Best place to ask about a BCH/electrum issue.

I just sent some BCH to shape shift as i have done before many times and my electrum wallet has been emptied. The outputs of the transaction show the ones going to the shapeshift wallet and the remainder going to an unknown address.

How is this possible

Please any advice as quick as possible would be appreciated.

Thanks

If anyone can help resolve it will not go unnoticed

Just check if the unknown address is just a change address inside your electrum wallet.
