Ripple has done nothing but plummet the last few months. There is zero reason this coin is worth 2 billion and i am glad it was put back on Crypto market cap because it will accelerate the mass exodus from a coin that is going nowhere.
The number 1 reason this type of coin and NXT and QRK and any other coin will ultimately fail is because you cannot buy adoption, a community, an economy. You cannot purchase or acquire in any way the ecosystem that will make the coin actually worth more than zero.
Mined coins are ingenious because the ecosystem is organic, the ecosystem is first created by the miner and then others eventually join in to make a community.
Very similar to the gold mining era in the USA, huge communities would blossom overnight to support mining towns. The connected infrastructure created San Francisco.
However, you cannot buy a few hundred people put them in a town and wave your hands dramatically and say come here, come here, buy my gold!!
Everyone will laugh at you.

That's an easy one to understand. You see bitcoin is a very high risk investment, but likewise the returns could also be high.
Some people don't want to take that risk, but at the same time don't want to miss out on an opportunity. So what do they do? Easy, they hope and attempt to make it fail. That way they didn't stomach any risk, didn't lose out on any gains, and can say "I told you so".

This is purely an amateur hour, I left this shyte coin in the dust months ago and went back to equities and forex. This instrument will continue in a downtrend, this behavior is all too familiar. Getting coins at sub 200 was a nice move yes... whoever locked it in god job. At this point I would suggest only profiting from temporary volatility be it in upward or downward momentum. It will never reach its previous point of 800+...As of now it seems to be still moving in a strong downward momentum. It might break out to lets see 260 level then possibly 280 before another drop. People who bought their coins at 400 or 600.. and were 'hodling'. Well, I suggest you get better jobs my friends.
