Well, my 0.76 has become 0.71 - like I said, even with 0% fees, I'll still end up with squat. It always, without fail, goes the opposite to what I do.
Maybe I should get a bot and set up to Crazy Ivan....
..well you should probably be re entering now.. if you sold in the 1100+ range.. and you'd be up. Remember watch those candle sticks.. you aiming to sell on a high part of green and a re-enter on a low part of a red.
and keep a close watch at
http://trading.i286.org/ , bitcointicker.co and the mtgox candles eat, breath and sleep on them xD

what would you be able to trade bitcoins for if the dollar/euro crashed first?
or if it gets stronger by that time, would it replace them?
or if its not ready for the colective conciusness would it crash as well?
or what would you be able to trade it for?
btw cant see no big wall, its only day trading, bots and traps atm it seems, looks like it will continue steadly rising .

I'm going to step away from the uber-bullishness for a minute to say that the dollar/euro aren't going to be immediately swept away by Bitcoin. That simply won't happen.
It's not to say that Bitcoin can't rapidly achieve a trillion-dollar-plus market cap - I believe it can - just that the role of inflationary currencies will continue to be a large and important one for the foreseeable future. Beyond the fact that tax obligations have to be paid in state-issued fiat, banking will be difficult in Bitcoin, and financial markets will certainly not be switching anytime soon - most "wealth" is in equities or derivatives, priced in dollars.
Then there's the fact that oil can only be purchased with dollars.
Gold, silver, and fiat have been coexisting for many years now, and I do not expect Bitcoin will upset that balance. We're looking at a timescale of decades before we can expect fiat to go away.
Frankly, I much prefer it that way. A functional
alternative to fiat is actually better than a giant upheaval.
Some people still get the paper in their driveway every morning. And sometimes even I enjoy the experience.
I guess i agree with you, you make valid points, and true i prefer it that way as well, i was just thinking it becuase as i see it works kind of like this way the backd up Gold/Silver --->>> Currencies --->>> Bitcoin value?, *correct me if im wrong
while the direct backup for bitcoin is the hash number of each?
or am i just tripping

Not really sure what you're talking about.
Nothing is backed by anything but faith these days. "The Economy" is a collective hallucination.
lol, sorry if i didnt explained myself in a more clear way, english is not my first language, even so, you answered my point, as everything is backed by the faith or value perception only.
Well

for the time beeing im starting to love this collective hallucination xD Beautifull and elegant way of describing it

There is no "backing". There is only utility.

Hard to say. We've been running in the 1000-1100 channel for a while, but I don't think that'll be long-lived. At the moment an upwards breakout from that channel appears more likely.
24h high is at 1117.80, so that's the number to watch if we do break resistance at 1100.
agreed and i like that number, i feel we re goin down another bit because of the 1 day graph and 12 hr graph tho before we go up again

Hmmm, I'm thinking it's not so much 1117.80 as the fact that we are now
trading under the slower moving average, and have not yet been able to break back through. So, it may just be a moving target, careful. I'd love for us to break through it, but, who knows, and, it's been one helluva a spike.
My brother asked me over the holiday (Thanksgiving) if Bitcoin goes up faster or down faster, and I replied it comes down faster (thinking about the crashes). Checked it, I was wrong. It comes down slower than it goes up, over the long haul. So this run-up is going to take several months to unwind. There's time to close out your positions, and then, take a trip somewhere nice. I'll be going to Bali for the winter

I'm honestly not convinced that the bull market is through. This time around has behaved differently than the last two bubbles and it may yet surprise us further.
I have not divested at all.
me neither, but im loving the ride tho

You guys are great-- you make really good points. I'm glad to be here, and I'm always learning something new. Maybe this is just another consolidating pennant, with a new floor and solid bids lined up?

Yep; it could be. But if you look here
http://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/mtgox/btcusd and notice the 15m chart you may be able to observe the most common thing I've noticed the Bitcoin does; it's called "wave turbulence pattern" or "surfwake".

The thing is; it usually recovers *very* fast after such a turbulence due to the huge buying demand. Then again a big player decides to sell and goes on and on, causing -somewhat- harmonic oscillations. Again; this is only what I have observed. I don't claim it's 100% true..

i have to agree, ive noticed this ones as well, really nice observations there

Hold on a second:
Bloomberg Twitter - "BREAKING: China bans financial institutions from Bitcoin transactions"
Reuters - "China's central bank warned on Thursday that financial institutions should not trade the digital currency bitcoin, saying that while it does not yet pose a threat to China's financial system, it carries risks."
Uh, so... financial institutions banned, or warned?
i think for the banks is kind of a legal warning, not said but implying the ban i guess, and the media is taking advantage by making it worst than it seems tho, hope we stop at 1060-80 tho at least

Wow, you can tell by the postings that already so many have sold below their buy, the secret is to either hold or know you can close a short before you open it. Just because 100 other people who have no reason to want to profit off of your loss tell you that 100$ BTCs are right around the corner, you get blinded by greed. This party is just getting started, going to be legendary and define the past blips in the radar.
Agreed and back from the party, had some nice drinks and girls company and i thought we were goin to be at the 500s, So Awesome guys for keeping it above 700s XD u rock, i can sleep for a while to get sober and be back later, now pls get it to the 800s and ill be more than happy lol

Actually, altcoins followed bitcoin's lead. You can find plenty of posts from 2010 and 2011 documenting bitcoin's moving walls and other price manipulating techniques. How do you think we got to where we are today?

Didn't buy in in time, did we?

No, as the chart bases on MtGox, this "exponential correction" just accounts for fiat withdrawal troubles...

For what i hear, only if you are verified and even verified it takes 4 weeks in most cases some even more
wouldnt recommend a fiat withdrawall unless its really necesary for you, I just moved away from gox today.

if so, are you buying all the cheap coins right no? no point to buy at 300 if you can have them for 265.
just curious, how many are you willing to buy for 300?
I'm putting as much extra funds as I have into bitcoin as I can currently afford... but as of right now, unfortunately that's not much. What I was getting at is that I think it would be dumb to sell out a lot of your bitcoins you have, when you can see a clear rally coming. There has been so much progress and news out there of businesses starting to incorporate bitcoins, banks starting to look at the block chain (I know what your thinking, and no, they won't start there own crypto "coin"), more regulated and better exchange site platforms that allow major players to start buying crypto (Ex: gemini)... There won't be a Gox, because I don't believe there is or will ever be another Gox situation... at least I sure hope not.
I recommend you to play with futures maybe start x10 to play safe and with a % of your BTC, and fully agreed BTC gets more legitimate by the minute hence more big players gaining trust to buy, nobody can tell for sure what will happen, what's for sure is that exciting times in Bitcoin and Crypto are coming.
