It looks like they decided to turn the China Manipulation script back on at Huobi...
Until bitstamp or btc-e starts doing 0% fees this will continue I'm afraid..
I don't think fees are the issue. Fake volume is. Maybe bitstamp needs to make its volume appear 10x higher than it actually is...
The volume is "fake" because the fees are 0. You can run bots all day long, it doesn't cost a penny. It becomes properly fake if the exchange operates the bots themselves, but I don't think that has been proven to be the case?

i've got a question.. so the sell wall whale is selling 30k coins via an exchange. how's he going to deposit that $9 million into his bank account without arousing suspicion?
No, he plans to buy back around 400-600, thereby halving his money. He will do this repeatedly in order to get rid of all his money and avoid suspicion.
edit: I have no idea about this. There are too many reasons why this human could be doing this.
Itīs no human. Itīs a bank, goverment o corporation group.

Link? Do you think all the people have 20 millons usd to play with bitcoin and lose millons selling low only to manipulate the price? This is a group, bank, goverment or walls street.
You realise that those "20 millions USD" could have been mined in a matter of
days weeks a few years back? Without proof your theory is as good as any other.

There is a virtual currency in Japan already called BitCash since 2002.
It's not difficult for Japanese to adopt another one especially in online markets.
Ah, I thought we are talking bitcoin. There are many "virtual currencies", "e-money" or whatever you want to call them worldwide. Now, this hasn't helped bitcoin adoption much worldwide so far has it? Neither will it in Japan.

the difference between coinbases regulated exchange and the other smaller (do not want to be disrespectul) exchanges will be that it is embedded in a financial industry climate. it also does not need to be kicked off as gemini due to having a huge customer base.

Does kraken currently have over 1 million unique users that can use the exchange?
Does kraken have FDIC insurance on usd balances?
Does Kraken currently have 0 fees?
Like I said this was about location.
How many of those 1 million have traded on coinbase the last two months?
According to the post above only coins in the hot wallet are insured. Don't think so.
Currently not, but then neither will coinbase in a few months.

"Sideways" means down, because we follow the line.
This is why the traders do not know whether to buy or sell:

Not necessarily. We had sideways in April/May 2014, second half of June 2014 and October 2014, all followed by going up. Not to the moon, but it allowed for profits.

No, I meant "sideways" is down. I think if we won't rally or crash, we'll just go downward slowly, following the trend line. I could be wrong of course.
I know what you meant. Just saying that's not always the case, no matter how many lines you draw on that chart.

It's Huobi the anchor chain again. Must be the big Chinese mining pools still dumping coins. Don't they know the rest of the world is revving for the next bull run?
I think that you should explain it to them, that instead of selling bitcoins, they should sell their and their loved ones kidneys. That's how they could pay off some of the loans and electric bills, that have been accumulating throughout 2014.
Are these mining places even profitable any more ? I thought after the price fell, then even people getting free electricity aren't profitable.
A bit simplified, but say an underclocked SP20 at 1.2 TH/s uses 1000W. That would (at current difficulty) mine ~0.445 BTC or (at todays prices) $100 per month. If you consider the hardware as a sunk cost, you will be even with a electricity rate of 14 US cents (3.36 per day). At 10 cents you'd ROI your hardware after ten months. If you have free electricity you'd ROI would be 4 to 5 months.
Of course there are some other factors, but that is the basic picture.

If you like to hear about TA stuff, the H12 MACD is about to cross and the P-SAR looks like it will confirm. That would point upwards. If it has an effect depends on how many other people / bots are looking at the same signal and consider it bullish, so they would buy.

Another random news post: BitXChange.ro, [...]
Both without influence on the price.
Well, before closing for good, mycoin.hk had set the price of bitcoin to ~1.5 USD for the purpose of calculating client payouts.

Doesn't show on the charts.
The BitXChange.ro case highlights another kind of risk of the exchanges. While their servers may be replicated and protected against external hackers, they may still have a single programmer who could do similar damage. Indeed, like MtGOX and several other examples, their software team often consists of only one programmer. Blockchain.info seems to be another example, given that they uploaded the buggy RNG without any internal review of the code.
Anything you don't control the private key are IOUs at best. Nothing new here.

Estimates that have been demonstrated to likely be false
Have they? The mining contracts were ~52'000 USD minimum, so the uncertainty is only in the number of contracts that they managed to sell. The "3000" figure may be inflated, but it is not too high for an MLM scheme
3000 and only 30 want to go to court?

Also can't read much of code but, larger block size is a GOOd thing. Why? more hashed information per unit block. Not just for bitcoin transactions, but for any information to be stored in a block and validated by the network. Can't you see why this is a good thing? bitcoin blocks can be used for more thanjust bitcoin transactions. good thing in my books.
The blockchain is already what? 30Gigs? 40gigs? That's a lot of storage and a lot of bandwidth. If you were to increase the size of the blocks it will become very costly for individuals to run full nodes, leading to centralization.
Also removes the idea of scarcity in the block. To maintain the incentive for the miners is to maintain the security of the blockchain. Once the reward gets cut down it is imagined that the fees will replace this incentive. Scarcity and an open market fee structure would hopefully provide enough incentive to keep the miners interested.
I'm not fully on the side of either camp just yet, any changes (or stubborn refusal to change) could result in unintended consequences. I'm just saying we should tread lightly.
Just because the block size is 20 MB doesn't mean they will be full at the time. Even with the current limit 1 MB hardly ever hit.
Bandwith and storage are getting cheaper as time goes on.

That's not true look atthese odds and payout is a huge spread
You can check yourself. Do the math. For example:

everyone seems to be missing the small detail of "WEIGHT"
should someone who bet last summer that bitcoin would drop to 100 when it was $600+ have the same odds as someone who waited to add to the bet today when we are in the 200s?
which who would have thought.. has a whole paragraph dedicated to it in the faq

I know. But with resolved bets you can do the math and see what was paid in and out. He can check his claim of 40% himself that way

Indeed. It's become fairly clear that we won't break out past $300 anytime soon.
Now you jinxed it

I think we hit bottom... stoch rsi has a crossover and is pointing up... but maybe one indicator isnt enough.
If indicators would be relaiable it would be too easy... We learned that the hard way. Just HODL, 1BTC = 1BTC until it is sold.
I think there are layers of complexity. First layer is indicators. But one thing u cant predict or control is 🐳
Volume also spiking now.
If in doubt, fundamentals will win.
