Kim dotcom the cuck

He generates all the hype, and now he delayed the new megaupload... Maybe he is speculating and trying to buy more cheap bitcoin before the real announce.

No he was already hyping Bitcache and Bitcoin reaching $2000 some time ago.He was already invested in Bitcoin.
So he might have finished his speculation, ie. he cashed out and maybe was one of the guys who dumped his BTC at the peak.
And now this is lame announcement. Check his history! That dude always was and probably still is extremely shady!

that may be the case and he may have made some investment in bitcoin and even took some profit but in the end the main purpose of all that he said so far was to hype his own project, megaupload 2.0
that is where his money lies, and bitcoin is his secondary concern.

core nodes are bugged.
1MB = 1024KB.
not 1000KB
this caused them to orphen a block that was less than 1MB

what you as a (old) 4 year old member don't yet know about bitcoin and yet give opinion on it, is that at code level there is no such thing as MB, KB, or as jbreher explained above KiB, MiB

there is only BYTES.
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/master/src/consensus/consensus.h#L15-L16
and it is a round 1000000 bytes number and it has always been a round "byte" number
and they orphaned a block that violated the 1000000 bytes consensus rule!

just a couple of correcions/questions:

They paid back all the losses their customers had due to the hack.
i'm a bit out of the loop here, did they really "pay back" or "say we are ready to pay back". because there is a big difference and i only read on their site that they said "we have accumulated enough money to pay back". so can someone confirm this for sure.

It's more like US banks are making them problems.
it is "Taiwanian" bank not US. the site is specifically saying "No US banks have blocked any funds.

In terms of scaling debate I'm convinced that SegWit will come. It's just a question of time.
things are a bit different and much more complicated with bitcoin than it is with LTC.

Quote
Now it will be activated in Litecoin first.
it is locked in and will be activated soon. but i should add that SegWit on litecoin has 100% support! which is unbelievable  Smiley

And when it prooves to work as good and smooth as many hope I'm sure the pressure to except it for Bitcoin will increase
i also think this part can be true.

That dude will win a Pulitzer for that insightful news article.

and as is always the case with these idiotic articles, comments are epic.
already added to Bitcoin Obituaries, that didnt take long

https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoinobituaries/

shows how far we've come in a few short years - back in 2013/2014 the comments would have been largely skeptical of Bitcoin. Now, its unanimously pro btc. We're still not mainstream yet, but taking this kind of thing as a signal, it won't be too much longer.

that is the mood swings people have been having with price. back in 2013/2014 they were experiencing the correction from Mt Gox and nobody was happy but after the reversal and the rise started by the end, the moods changed also. now we are in 2 solid years of only rise and obviously people are happier.

the funny thing is, nothing has changed bitcoin is still the same awesome cryptocurrency that is being adopted more and more every day. with Japan being the latest and biggest one in series of adoptions.

when did this topic stopped being the "wall observer" with "bitcoin" charts and some analysis on them and on the bitcoin market and become cheer leading for altcoins thing?!!

Almost a 300BTC sell wall on Bitstamp at 2175EUR

Edit: It's getting demolished FAST

if price went up in the next 24 hours know that it was because i sold some bitcoin to pay the bills Grin
