Tor was cracked ages ago. There are stories that most of the exit nodes are either run by scammers of NSA/CIA type organisations. They can launch attacks to crack sessions that pass through the exit nodes they control. The MIT reseachers have only devised yet another way to crack Tor, not the first way. Most Bitcoin users probably never think about running their wallets through Tor anyway. It's not very likely to make any difference to the price.

blockchain is the future, but Bitcoin itself has no intrinsic value and its price is purely based on speculation.
I kinda agree with you... When I started learning about Bitcoin I was also like: "Fuck this is going to take over the hole universe, here you have all my worthless FIAT money..."
But the more you understand the world around bitcoin, the more you should become disillusioned about bitcoin as a competitor to the traditional finance system. It is maybe better for a online payment system... But there is no REAL problem with the traditional Kredit-Card / PayPal /Skrill / SEPA system...
Sure Bitcoin is currently cheaper from a retailer point of view but someone has to pay the system in order to maintain it. I mean if you leave out the Blockreward subvention a TX would cost about 50$...
The only real feature I am still exiting about is the blockchain itself and the potential behind it. That's also the reason why I am looking forward for Etherum because it seems like a much further looking system with much more potential use behind it. I am not an Etherum fanboy neither I am a religious Bitcoin perma-Bull anymore...
Future will tell what was the right decision.. Bitcoins could have had a top we will never reach again the price is purely speculative driven, there is no real demand for bitcoin still..
All I can say be careful with your money... It may seems like it's 108% sure that Bitcoin will go to 100 Million Trillion $ somewhen if you follow this forum or even the reddit subred. But the blind people will in the end pay the bill....

Hands down crypto is the future. Bitcoin is digital gold. Think logically everyone. Who knows what Crypto will become the standard for day to day transactions but Bitcoin is here to stay and the price will rise. We need to work together as a family and decentralize everything. We have to think outside of the box of things that seem impossible. Right now I am trying to figure out if it is possible to create a decentralized cellphone network? So we no longer have to rely on cell phone companies any longer etc... Check this coin out. Very interesting development out of china...downloaded the wallet and never seen anything like it.

Ethereum isn't going replace Bitcoin. It's a platform for a new way of approaching the internet. It's the only alt project I see much point in.
Not a loaded question, just wondering if you have a better insight into this topic: Care to explain in one or two sentences what Ethereum can do that the Blockchain plus possibly pegged side chains plus some hardware infrastructure linked to these can't do? Never really understood the point of a "Turing complete crypto", I guess.
Eventually Bitcoin and side chains will probably make Ethereum useless. Until then, it's a good altcoin and PoC.

I believe now is the time people are accumulating ETH. That could be the secret to the Pump, people high up in MSFT and others super late to bitcoin, but with Ethereum they can inject themselves in from the start and help shape it. MSFT devs etc...all speculation I know but... I would not be surprised if they just started funding Eth dev directly by buying eth.
Plus Ethereum is a bit more softarewarey(yeah not a real word lol) than bitcoin i.e with smartcontracts and damp not just a glorified ledger like Bitcoin. Ive been furiously mining Eth with around 1GH/S of hash rate for a few months and buying on the dips. From this point on i think ill stop selling what I mine and also buy more eth weekly on the dips.
I could see this popping to $10/eth some time next year don't want to miss that boat. What scares me more is we dont even have a killer app yet.
If Augur or one of those other etheruem based projects blows up we could be kicking ourselvs next year for not loading up.
Not a pumper myself , but i missed the early BTC boat, missed the LTC boat I'll be dammed if i miss another. Worst comes to worst i break even and sell my hardware. I have found some other videos regarding Microsofts future vision for their Azure platform and this all seems like a line written in the sand. Its clear guys...the time for Crypto to shine is now and MSFT is going to take it there.

Not nessasarily. ETH value will be much higher than it currently is today. Yes BTC will be a store of value Ether was never trying to do that anyways. This does not mean Ether wont have much value. Ether will be digital fuel for the internet of things. It will probably be worth more than a bitcoin at some point in time. There will be over 1 trillion devices connected to the internet by 2020. I believe eth will be the alt to surpass all alts. Btc will still be used as store of value and everything its currently used for. This is still great for BTC in every way. Its only logical now the ETH price will rise dramatically as private / corportate investors hop on and accumulate this fuel for their upcoming development projects. Not to mention independent specualators who will buy mass amounts of Ether an hold for the future.
