People think that a fork is imminent. First of all, none of the big pools are going to switch to producing bigger blocks until they have at least 51% of the hash. Probably a lot more. The way BU works is that it will eventually go for the longest chain. If any of the big pools start mining bigger blocks with less than 51% of the hash, they'll end up mining a lot of orphans. You think they are that stupid?
All the core team needs to do is introduce a block increase as well as Segwit and everyone will kiss and make up.
Finally someone is talking sense on this hard fork issue.

Nobody should be ruling this decisions other than the full nodes.
The whole idea of Bitcoin was to put power in the hands of "individuals". Back in that time, the miners & nodes were all individuals. Now since the mining has become centralised in the hands of few giant pools, it shouldn't give them power to do whatever the fuck they want. If the power is taken from the individuals, the whole ideology is gone for toss.
Let the nodes rule the world.

Very odd. I've been hearing complaints about this all day now. Could they have some interest in temporarily holding up the price? Seems unlikely. Could they have screwed up in splitting the coins, or in setting up their wallet infrastructure, and are scrambling to assess the damage?
They're probably using this time to sweep the BitCH coins from their deposit address to exchange (hot) wallet.
But still, some people are saying the block explorer is showing 15+ confirmations while Finex shows only 3. That is outrageous.

So, in just a few days, the original blockchain even with "limited" 1MB blocksize and in comparison to BCH which also has had some good amount of TX's have grown *1GB* more than BCH... More than 1GB in a few days on a decentralised redundant network that is replicated over thousands of nodes.
And they think it should grow much faster than that? Makes totally sense. NOT.
If that is not a good indication that ALL tx's can't go over blockchain I don't know what it is. Specially if we want to scale several orders of magnitude for Bitcoin.
Imagine the same scenario with 8MB (or Unlimited MB) blocks...

All they do by mining massive numbers of blocks in a short period is create more available coin. more coin+ same demand = price drop.
if price drops, fees drop. fees drop, less chance of miners switching.
another EDA. more coins, same demand, cheaper price. if price drops, fees drop. fees drop, less chance of miners switching.
eventually you reach a point where nobody ever mines bch, no matter how many EDAs they do, because the price has dropped too low relative to BTC to make it worth it, and it screeches to a halt with a wet sounding plop.
You can already see it in the bch chart. People are figuring this out and hedging their bets. The crowd is dwindling.
I doubt the faster mining has that much of an impact on supply. Given the 12.5 BitCH production per block, the new minted coins hardly have any meaningful impact against MILLIONS already existing (forked) coins. If there is any supply they have to worry about, it is the dump of all existing (MILLIONS) forked coins.

I'm happy to be proved wrong here but this is how I feel about the forks...
BCH - sold pretty much all straight away and did extremely well out of it and boosted my btc holdings.
Bgold - looks like it could be a waste of time and worth nothing more than a couple of potatoes each + no replay protection
2x - a real spanner in the works, no replay protection and creates yet more FUD and confusion on exchanges.
Personally I want the forks to fork off. I am slightly worried about doing anything with these coins due to the lack of replay protection which potentially could jeopardise my btc.
This Bgold smells fishy to me. From the very beginning when they released their copy and paste website put together by a dyslexic 7 year old. I'm not even going to take the language barrier as an excuse. If you are going to release something like this then start by making a decent web page.
Does everyone think the 2X fork will actually go ahead now that jeff garzik will be concentrating on his wondercoin and the fact that the 2x futures are now trading at $130~?
If B2X doesn't happen, how will the exchanges cope with the customers who bought it in exchange of their BTC? Will the trades be reversed?

On Finex you’ve not bought 2X you’ve bought a token representing 2x , if 2x doesn’t happen you lose your money and those who have shorted it to you make a profit
If the fork doesn't happen BT2 will have a value of 0 and you will get simply nothing.
