What if instead of 3d, you did it 2d, like your if that 3d graph was viewed from top-down straight, but coloring the bid and ask with red and green, varying the intensity (or brightness) instead of moving up and down, and coloring the "channel" between both sides in blue (also with intensity/brightness, but in proportion to how much it changed from the previous range)?

The Bitcoin market is more polar.

Isn't that people sending coins to track what he does with them (even if he rinses them) and see where the money goes to - acts as a marker....
I was gonna say that is smart, but then i realized we already know his address, any coin that leaves that address works as a marker already...right?

As you may notice the pumping bulls are starting to get scared, we aren't going to see all time highs ever again. Bitcoin will level off and media attention will die off since we're the only reason it was there to begin with was because we were in a period of expontential growth.
People will look back in 3 years time and laugh about how a virtual currency with so many intrinsic flaws managed achieve a market cap of over 12 billion.
Cryptocurrencies may be the future, but it will not be bitcoin.
You need to work on your trolling. C-
Early adopters of BTC hold such a large percentage of the overall wealth, the top 50 BTC holders have over 30% of the total bitcoins ever mined. That is the equivalent of the top 50 richest people in the world all being worth well over 100 billion usd. Is this fair?
Satoshi alone is estimated to have in the region of 5-7% of all the bitcoins ever mined, are we just to accept that he will be our overlord when bitcoin becomes mainstream?
The idea behind bitcoin is good, there are definitely a lot of upsides to a decentralized currency, but bitcoin was built by one man, satoshi isn't a god (despite what a lot of you here may think) and bitcoin isn't perfect.
I for one, welcome our new cryptogenius overlord.

This is the kinda sentiment I'm talking about, but this will not fly in the real world.
Satoshi might not be perfect, but he would definitely be better than the people that are currently in charge of the world.

Reminds me of the rally threads, I was only new just before they stopped working but everyone had to go and shout at the speculators to stop screwing around, the prices used to be a line with jumps in it

the market has mature so much in the past 3 months no one realizes and assumes we are in a bubble, no we are not in a bubble.... if you think bitcoin is in a bubble go buy an ounce of gold.
We're probably in a bubble but only in the same way Amazon was in a bubble in 1999.
Amazon is still a bubble

A bubble with drones. When does bitcoin get drones?

Clearly a hash rate bubble.
Clearly and obviously its unsustainable, it could even end up using more power than the entire financial system someday.
It will be back at late 2012 levels by mid 2014. Obviously.
When some ingenious person figures out how to hash directly from heat transfer and creates home insulation that pays for its self? This currencies also backed by innovation towards higher efficiency

You can't have it both ways, either it is hard for the heat to leave the house, or it is easy. The more you keep the heat inside, the less energy you can get from it going outside and vice-versa.

I was able to heat my entire home with my ASICs, for no more than the furnace would have cost to heat. Next generation incoming will heat my greenhouse as well. For me it has all worked out extremely well. I can see being able to heat everything eventually, hot water, home, shop, swimming pool . . .
The home insulation has nothing to do with that though; well, except for keeping warm things warm.

As far as I know that's the point of insulation

A house would need over a meter of insulation to stay warm just from body heat at 0 deg C outdoor. Heat will always find its way out so if its going to transfer anyway then its worth trying to recover and re-use as much as possible, that's what sterling engines do but 'sterling' is misleading as it only describes a particular type of heat recovery system. Heat recovery is simple enough but it doesn't get used enough, it's used in some areas like high efficiency power plants but will get more common as energy prices go up.
The only way to get "work" from heat, is to transfer it from something to something else; if everything inside the house is at an equilibrium you can't extract work from heat, unless you let the heat leave the house (or otherwise lower the average temperature of the whole house). The only purpose insulation could have would be to limit where you're loosing heat.

Limit but not stop. All the joules of energy from the heat difference will transfer eventually, there's no such thing as a perfect insulator and there's a distinct barrier between the hot and cold areas so energy can be recovered between the two sides as it inevitably passes through.
But to get more energy, you need to let more heat out; you would need a hole in the insulation essentially. If you make it harder for the heat to go out, you'll be capturing less energy.
It's sorta analog to placing a valve before your waterwheel; if you hold the water back the wheel won't be spinning as fast.
