Preev.com says $244. Where is that price based on? I don't see it here in this topic.

Apparenty they use the average of four exchanges - including localbitcoins.com. If you click on the settings icon (the cog at the top right) you can select one exchange - localbitcoins is showing $360ish (ouch!)
I don't really understand why people include localbitcoins in things like this - it's not an exchange and it really confuses things.
Ok thanks for the explanation. it is indeed weird that localbitcoins is included. I will check it out by default.

keep hold and trust bitcoin will be hit $240

If it keeps rise this steady it will hit it next week but you don't know what will happen. Some news, bad or good, can cause a hope trouble.

Didnt know that site to check the markets. Thanks for sharing.
We have to wait indeed 44 weeks but what will happen then. That is the big question. People were also happy with the halving of doge a few weeks ago because the price would rise but nothing happend there.

What does it mean when a permabull such as myself has gotten the point of apathy at even a small rise? I mean I guess I am happy with a few dollar increase but I am certainly not expecting much at this point.

Perhaps that is the true sign we have reached the bottom though?
I am also expecting not that much but you never know it here. I just cashed out a half bitcoin so I would be painfull if it's gonna raise hard now.

It's still hovering around the 235. I didn't expect that. Normally there is a weekend dip. Wondering what the next week will bring.

In one hour the price rises 3 dollars , what a great hour

for the last days it is a good movement
It must be the best hours since months I guess.

Moon incoming

How do we know the upward momentum is going to last beyond $10 or $20, which I would hardly call moon?
People keep screaming moon, even when it's a $1 raise within a hour. If it really would go to the moon it should raise a $10 a $20 a hour for longer period.

That's it. I'm switching from this forum to:
https://bitco.in/forum/They even have a new Wall Observer thread there.
There is too much shit from the Theymos shills here.
See you on the other side, guys!

Norway

Yeah, tell him.
I don't understand why people keep making new forums. BCTalk is the biggest and the best our there and they keep still trying.

400 by end of october

Lets hope so but I don't see that happen. Maybe a short rally to the 250-260. Just let it raise slow and steady.

If we break 260 it will go ballistic. Major resistance is basically where we're hovering right now.

There is a lot of resistance at $240. Will take a while before we go through it i guess. But at least it was the whole time <$230 and now its a little while between the $235 and the $240.

No weekend dump = Monday morning pump?
The last 2 weekends there wasn't be a dump. So shall we see 250 next weekend.
I hope so but seems the wall after the 240 is filled with soap. Every little step at it and the price slipped.

"An online clothing retailer told Reuters she has made no bitcoin sales since introducing the service in 2013. She asked not to be named, saying "since bitcoin's going out anyway, we'd rather not throw our name back into it.""
That's not the news we want. We need some better news.

Wow, Cryptsy and the Garza family business is corrupt! Next you'll try telling me that Mark Karpeles is an incompetent, latte drinking, fat, price fixing, thieving piece of shit. No way dude! lol
The constant flood of crooked exchanges, criminal businesses, unfavorable laws and developer infighting is turning Bitcoin into an international joke. Bitcoin seriously needs a PR firm.
Damn what's happening with a the big exchanges. First Mtgox, Mintpal and now this news about Mintpal. Can't Bitcoin just get some good news about exchanges.

I looked at that other forum but there is even less action on the topic.

what is the reason of this rally?
any good news? or just an ordinary pump?
Don't know. Just let it break the $250 and stabilize there. We will see after it.

At least that upside-down Ripple shill is long gone. Remember that guy?

They keep coming with their shitcoins & alternative ideas but bitcoin remains strong, the only cryprocurrency that will succeed imo.
2 USD price rise since last night, I hope we can stay above 250 now.
I hope it also that $250 will become the bottom but at the moment there is a little dump.

Might be if it's still going like this. Last weeks +$10 a week so you can calculate that. Their is only one way and that's up.

Cheers everybody we just hit the $260.
Edit: Damn that was fast, straight $5 drop to $255 now.
Where did we hit that? Don't see it at Stamp or Finex.

Post 12692677 (copy this link) (by dre1982) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_14.27h):
On preev.com , it calculates the USD price by taking prices from LBC, Bitfinex , BTC-E and Bitstamp.
Someone is manipulating the price a lot in one of those exchanges, it just went up to 259.7 and then back to 254.7 now.
Last time I looked at preev it was the same - but I'm fairly certain it's due to LBC's wild swings (due to an exciting mix of person-to-person and remote trades, and the premium P2P trades command).
That's why i checked out LocalBitcoins at Preev. It isn't giving a right value through that.

Post 12699317 (copy this link) (by dre1982) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_14.28h):
Maybe the also calculate Localbitcoins with that price. Bitcoins are mostly overprices at LocalBitcoins so that could be why the price is there over $260. On the other exchange the $260 is a big wall. Maybe a bridge to far.

Seeing these images, couldn't someone make a profit out of the price difference? By arbitaging.
Maybe I could but I think you must have a way to send you $$ quickly between the exchanges. Transfering BTC goes quickly, money does take a bit longer I guess.

Before we all get too excited at this price pump, there might be something shady happening right now.
I have had Bitcoin withdrawals stuck on Cryptsy for several hours now.
I have sent repeat messages to their support, and was about to ask other users in the chat if they have had any issues, and I have been blocked.
It is possible this pump has been made possible with exchanges trading on funds belonging to their clients.
There are longer problems with Cryptsy. Take a look in this topic.
