No more 800's I guess?

If  somewhere are those stolen coins from bitfinex. ...then 700 $ is coming! Smiley

haha, bitfinex is old news now and even of the coins move for real there is just no way such an old fake news can create enough panic for a $220 drop.

the most you can hope for is $850 and that is the worse case scenario!

was that it? we are already above $1000 again!

to be honest i was expecting a much longer time below $1000 and playing around in $920-950 range. but it seems like price doesn't like staying low in the 3 digits anymore!

You forget the chinese withdrawals that start tomorrow. When the chinese people see that the price is dropping they always panic and sell. So this means that wee can expect a drop tommorrow, and when ETF is not approved, what is likely to happen, will cause in an another drop. We are going to test 950 usd

Chinese are already trading on other places, such as localbitcoins and other exchanges in the world, they haven't just stayed out sleeping in their home waiting around for their exchanges to open or not!

and when Chinese exchanges open tomorrow (if that is the date) Chinese will start buying the dip as they always do to catch up to the rest of the world and catch up with their cheap coin accumulation.

This thread is full of more bitcoin jihadi eco terrorists per square inch of pixel screen space than the most notorious real life terrorist thugs! Smiley ... Just look at the conflicts of views, opinions and propaganda's trying to pull all the rubber heads in each direction for the exchanges to catch a spark or two of volatility so they can make a buck or two. Smiley

I for myself... Its just fine! I'm pleased with this outcome of 10 people going in 10 different directions with their predictions! Cheesy  Grin Cheesy

i don't give a tiny rats ass which way bitcoin goes in short term, my coins are safe and sound in cold storage since 2014-2015 and most of them are bought when price was between $200 and $400 and my earnings go to cold storage also.

i have been trading altcoins for short term fluctuations for 2 years now.

Alright JJG you're going back on ignore.

I've spent the last few months fighting back against BU trolls and explaining segwit to people, I join some others to express concern about the situation with finex and get labelled a "big block nut job."

Anyone with any real input want to weigh in on what's happening with finex? Is there any way to reliably withdraw USD out?

JJG is heavily invested in BTC and wants to profit, thus he cheerleads.  Can't blame him, he's acting in his own best interest.

You can withdraw CHF (Swiss Francs) and HKD (Hong Kong Dollars) from Bitfinex as an alternative to crypto withdrawals.  All fiat deposits are suspended.

All deposits are suspended? Is that what you meant to say?

That would make the price rise more genuine at least.

according to their statements and what i have been reading from other people on reddit and other places All cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals are functioning as normal. however i do not have an account there to approve this first hand.

you can read this as an example: https://www.reddit.com/r/bitfinex/comments/65xus5/withdrawal_issues/dgetbhk/?utm_content=permalink&utm_medium=front&utm_source=reddit&utm_name=bitfinex

Why is there a $45 spread between Coinbase and Bitstamp?

it is becoming a normal thing apparently! bitfinex being super high and bitstamp dragging its ass down, lower than any other exchange! i think they want to compete with btc-e to take their position on being always behind the market price. Grin

what is happening these days Shocked

there was a time when we waited a long time to see a new ATH and got excited about it, now every hour is a new ATH. i thought after the $1100-$1200 rising would be easier since it is new price but not this easy!

price has gone up $600 in past month!

(And for gods sakes, stay away from Altlandia and all that ICO crap, unless you want to lose everything)

it can no longer be called trading in the Altlandia, it has turned into gambling. mostly when it comes to ICOs! you make some bets on a couple of these, you get lucky and win some money and most times you don't and they get rich from your stupidity for investing in them Grin

Some miners have access to free electricity i think, ~

nothing in the whole world is free let alone electricity.
so no miner has access to any "free" electricity. they instead have some pretty good contracts with some private and small electric companies that allows them to have access to a much cheaper electricity. and it is a win-win situation for both parties.

Our new Avenger Joe! Already received ~4 btc in donations.  Cool

kudos to all those who donated anything to him. not just because of the act of donation but because they had to manually type in a (case sensitive) bitcoin address from a picture with no QR CODE Tongue

what a pleasant surprise to wake up to see the FOMO has been hard at work all night and price reached (nearly) $3000. the people investing in bitcoin are sometimes way too funny with their panicky actions. not so long ago everyone was giving up on bitcoin calling it quits and now they are on a buying frenzy Roll Eyes
