Also worth a read....

Interest is beginning to build, awareness is growing and the date of the national referendum has been set. Later this year, on November 30, the good people of Switzerland will finally get an opportunity to make their voices heard. The Swiss Gold Initiative can be roughly stated in three parts:

1) The halting of all Swiss gold sale
2) The repatriation of all Swiss gold that is held in foreign vaults
3) Resume backing the Swiss Franc with gold, at a minimum level of 20%

Of course, the politicians and bankers of Switzerland are squarely against this initiative as it greatly diminishes their hold on power and restricts their ability to continue to debase the Franc. Fortunately, as one of the world's few remaining democracies, the Swiss people have an opportunity on November 30 to directly affect a change. For their sake and for the sake of their posterity, I pray that they choose wisely.

The government will choose what they want, regardless of a referendum outcome.
The Netherlands voted against joining the EU, but the dutch government just waved away that outcome and joined anyway.
Democracy is a farce.

Everyone might as well post they've sold all their coins. Let the bears and bots 'listening' think we're truly near capitulation.
'I've sold all my coins'..

Such a toxic environment here.
Please go gamble in the casino, instead of raping some game-changing technology in it's infancy.

So far Tim Draper is down about $9,000,000 unless he has already sold.

do not you know the markets of futures? it is possible that it is gaining 20 times this quantity if it has opened short positions

He'll probably hold for 1+ year, imminent profits.

Miclael Goldstein listed many types of bitcoin scammers:
Everyone's a Scammer
But he forgot the worst one: the guy who tells everybody to buy and hold, while he quietly sells.

Why do you feel the need to put 'academic' in your signature?

I do not have financial or political interest; what should I put then? (And I am an academic after all.)

Then you should call it 'personal' interest.

Having 'academic' in there actually takes away from the so called 'intelligence' you're trying to convey with it.

5 days i checked the bitcoin cap was $5,070,314,778 and now it's $4,133,378,508 Sad

1 billion waiting to buy on the next big rally isn't a bad thing.

It does NOT work like that.

Market cap dropping by a billion does NOT create a billion to spend on bitcoin...  Cheesy Cheesy

True, some are out forever but I'm guessing 70%+ is waiting to buy in again.

Er..small problem with the above I agree folks want to buy back in...but if they are holding like me....likely is they are already "all in" at least
mentally ...and/or even if I wanted to...no $$$ to but in at what I would think are good prices anyway (only put in what you can afford
and if you are like me..most of us at least are a little bit..over that curve if not tripped in the deep end of the pool and are already floundering
and kicking to get out...

quite the ugly little loop

so you have folks like me ..holding for this to hopefully recover...but the incentive to buy with the wad I have in BTC already and now at these depressed
prices....well......again if my discretionary $$$ are already in bitcoin...hard to justify tossing more in...don't ya know ..mainly because I don't know
WTF is going on!

Nice little conundrum...probably what is making it spiral down....everyone knows they should act and buy coin if they really believe..but have
already reached their "pucker factor' and are forzen at this point in time on any 'meaningful jump in the pool'

again wtf do I know I bought from BFL and a KNC Titan ...obviously I'm the last person to comment on any of this ...completely clueless on what is
going on

For the marketcap to drop, people need to sell at lower prices. Which means they have a bag of fiat they can either save, spend or invest. So these people are not all-in, and have room to re-enter the BTC market once it takes off fast enough.

I've invested because I want the technology to succeed. If it happens after I'm dead and didn't make any extra buck, so be it...I want it to succeed for future generations.
Most people in here will do anything to make an extra buck. Glad I'm not one of them.
