Just got back from a family bash without phone reception.

Seems to have dipped on good volume and reversed. Is this a dead at bounce before the fireworks or have I missed the display? Wink

What us this about 30k whales manipulating the market?

Also, too early to buy?

Too Early to buy?
No one knows. But it seems a safe price to buy in. I doubt the price will drop much more.

THis is what i want to see.. ltc down and btc up for a bit... ltc/btc needs to go below 0.01 again.

ltc should become quite stable hopefully. It didn't have as massive drop as btc and has been stable throughout.

It's gonna bounce extremely hard when we find our low, till then expect crashes to continue. A week or little more if it continues like this btc will be below 200. I guess the first miners are switching off now.

Its actually pretty hard to predict what will happen. But hopefull we should see a bounce back from this low.

It's more like you are into special wooden nickels made of a specific tree, cut down and uniquely identifiable by it's dna. It's the first kind of wooden nickels that are uniquely identifiable in that way. The problem is there are other people who have done that with other trees, and their wooden nickels have the same properties besides being from a different tree.

While they have the same intrinsic properties, their extrinsic properties are dramatically different.  It is not the intrinsic properties of BTC which give it fundamental value, but extrinsic ones.

Things with different properties behave differently.

Are you suggesting that it's not the technology but the userbase/great PR which gives bitcoin value?
I was lead to believe the value behind bitcoin was disruptive technology Sad

A great PR always does vary prices. In a positive as well as a negative way. But the technology is the major factor imo.

Nobody should sell until the Winklevoss ETF gets approval.
Small profits suck.
I'm not selling until I see a way bigger price than this.

150% from last week is not a small profit imo. Profits can't always be 2-3x in one day . The current price is much higher than the previous months trend. Lets hope it continues.

... How is it failing? I'm not seeing any evidence suggesting that it is.

how come a perfect ponzi scheme like bitcoin can fail ? It's mathematically infallible and exponential growth is guaranteed !!!

i'm lost here !

probably he just means its failing in terms of price.

i think it's likely to be this way probably until after the auction ..

maybe some small pump and a lot sideways ..
Chinese banks are closed from Feb 18-23 to observe Chinese New Year so there shouldn't be much movement until FIAT can be wired into those exchanges (Bitfinex, OKCoin, Huboi).

That is something Tether could resolve. (already used by Bitfinex and Poloniex)

When is tether coming out ?

http://le.utah.gov/~2015/bills/static/HCR006.html

The bill laid down the technological and social developments that could be achieved if the decentralized currency was accepted. “Industries in emerging technologies could play an increasingly important role in Utah’s economy and culture; the State must remain open to new technologies and ideas to continue attracting talented and educated entrepreneurs to the state.”

Looks like it will help it being more regulated  now.
