With all of the mining ROI going away I can see money pouring into the price from people who do the math and realize mining with current hardware + electricity costs (not free) is likely not worth their time.

Better off buying bitcoin directly.

And the cycle continues.....once again.

Mining ROI is still good enough in other countries whre the electricity costs are next to nothing.

nice orderbook.

Are we going to see some interesting up moves this weekend?

You never know . A lot of people thought that price would go down due to the auction,
but it has been stable for the whole week, which is a strong thing for bitcoins.

To the moon baby. I'm loving 'dat' bitcoin. This market is bullish as fuck.

That's the spirit lad.

THat has always been the spirit of people investing into bitcoin.
I guess we need more people believing in the technology and not only the price or bitcoin as an investment.

The price is so sideways right now I'm neither losing nor gaining how boring Tongue
It has been this way since the last 2 weeks. Unfortunately the auction didn't make any difference either.
But its hard to argue. When price was over 600, it was stable, and since it was a strong price no one cared if it was stable or not.

Name suggestions, if some volatility happens soonish.

We could call it:

"Micro bubble", due to rising public interest and legitimacy through Microsoft. or

"Soft crash", due to higher BTC sells via XboxOne christmas sales.
The news of microsoft would hardly bring any changes to the price. Its just like Dell accepted bitcoin this year.

I'm curious to know if btc will be worth it to mine once it halves...
It depends on what the price is at the time of halving. Since price would be up, it might just be profitable.

The is a bearish divergence in 1h MACD, and 4h MACD is still negative, while its divergence may flip to red soon.
A triangle is going to break soon, but there is a bit of upward momentum, so I'm not sure. But the next 6h are locally critical. Grin

I am still expecting a >=10$ positive spike before any massive dump (short-stop-hunting, bulltrap, whatyacallit/ever).
Both 4h and 1d MACD are undecided in my opinion. The 1d S-RSI is heading up from ~0, 4h S-RSI is halfway down already during low volume/drop.

What massive dump? I don't think with the good news these days, there will be a dump soon.

Hypothetically if somebody offered you guys 5000 USD per BTC that you own (and you had to sign an agreement saying you wouldn't buy any more, that's it, your participation in BTC is over) would you take it right now?
If I own 1000 BTC, and I am offered that. I would take it Smiley
Not sure if my wife would stop buying anymore.

Officially getting killed more and more everyday. Stagnation is NOT good!

Stagnation is good...
Before almost every bull run there is a long dull sideward movement...

It is definitely good, but sometimes after a lot of stagnation the prices tend to move down as well.
Thats what happened after a week long stagnation at the 450  level. But would still be hard to predict the movement.

Impossible to predict for now.

Its pretty obvious why prices are down and not much action .
Due to this: https://www.bitstamp.net/article/Bank-holidays-December-25th-26th-2014/
People have not been able to get funds on the exchange sites to buy enough. We should hopefully see some action today Tongue

Volume seems depressing, no movements...kinda boring

Its been like this for almost the past 2 weeks .All the expectations of volume increasing on new year, hasn't happened either.

I'd rather lose my entire BTC investment at $0 than sell now.
What's the point in living life if you don't take a few risks.
I would never be happy living an average life in an average job.
You have to take risks.
I'd rather live on the street & know that I tried than sell now.
Good thought. I had the same when price fell from 600 to 450. THen it went to 400 in a day.
Then paypal announcement came and I sold a lot of it(would be dead by now if I hadn't) Tongue . Glad I didn't do this.

Well, if you're still in the game be thankful that you haven't been wiped out by some weird and risky leveraged games. There are people who lost their whole stash, I believe. I wonder how many of the regulars in this thread left the game for good.

Too many I can't even recall. Most of them on the way up to ATH though. Grin

I know a few people who after losing half their money due to the drop, lost the rest of their stash by Gambling.
That feels worse than this.

We will hold strong at 250. For the next few days or weeks....then it's an uptrend for the rest of the year. MARK MY POST.

I'd love it if you were right, however....

Have faith neo

I don't know if you know the name of the song in that movie?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJbqKLcCjp4#t=355

It feels appropriate.

That song is : Welcome to the real world - Azerty. Says it right in the description.

Correction: the "4.1 billion USD" for the GBL scam seems to be a newspaper error.  Other sources say "4.1 million",  with is of course much more plausible.
is this for the exchange in HK that apparently stole funds and goxxed users ?
