Also Panic sell when they forbid to withdraw, panic sell when they made exchange inspection,etc.. They still have miner because of low electricity cost, will they rise electricity price to make the next panic sell? I don't think one billion Chinese will agree (neither if they care about btc).

So what did I learn? I think BTC has an intrinsic value of around $1000. The rest are hopes and dreams.

How do you get to $1000?... What went into that decision.

Too be honest I struggle with orders of magnitude of valuation, but you seem to have it all cracked, whats your secret formula?

Long time I didn't read anything about the end of bitcoin. A little dump and it start again; it's fun. $3000 was a dream at the begin of the year.

$1000, why not $10? I also would know the secret formula

Bearstamp leading the charge back to 10K == bullish.

Countries that do _not_ have capital gains taxes; Switzerland, Seychelles, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, British Virgin Islands (other Carribean sweat holes too many to remember), Panama, ... i.e. there's quite a few if you do your research.

If exporting crypto from Coinbase to local wallet is considered a taxable event how much is a cross-chain atomic swap going to blow their tiny minds?

Dinosaurs, meteorites, asteroids, etc ... they should just run before they get smashed by a ball of fire impacting on their stupidity, exploding their evil, naked greed and lust for the wealth of others.

in germany, when hodling btc for more than 12 months: no taxes at all on the gains. a tax that encourages hodling. sweet.

I believe that is known as Hodler's Law.  Tongue

A real law or a joke, you have any link ?

I actually with exponential theory being proposed. Could easily see moving from 30k to 60k within a matter of days.

Why not $1 trillon per coin then?  It's not as if enough real world goods to be purchased by said quantity of money actually need to exist...oh wait.

That's why I like to read this thread, there's always good jokes:)

WO thread from 1 year ago is a fun read:  Grin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.321420

It was a crazy year that we will remember for years and years. Just as we have never forgotten 2013 but with 1000 times more power and memories (Imagine when you'll be old and you'll recount it to your grandchildren)

An extra late good morning Bitcoinland. I had to rush out at the crack of noon for an appointment and just got back.

I see we're still consolidating in the $18.3k-$19.2k range... currently $18742USD/$24116CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Forkcoins are up so old coins are now worth $21265USD/$27359CAD each (Coinmarketcap).

After last week's rapid gains, a day or 2 of consolidation is welcome. We don't want this lovely smooth extended uptrend to start becoming a bubble.

We don't want the price to double in a few days and then come crashing down. I'd rather see doubling every few months with 20-40% corrective dips scattered in along the way. Slow and steady wins the race.

Go Bitcoin go.

Exactly my point of view, I have expected to see it broke $20k today but it's a good news it gone slowly. (But the week only begin...)

Bitcoin false breaks to 6500+ , it should be supported at 6300 and try again for a break higher

If trend line support breaks at 6300, 6150 would be next.
