Support stacking under 260 - Only a significant wall visible before 265.

We might be going up, or the smart seller of late wants to cash a good dump.

Not sure if the 8k resistance level would hold at this rate, definitely hoping that the 6k does if that happens. Due to mainstream discovering BTC in the last months with that obscene rise perhaps (finally) new money will massively come in after seeing the previous 20k+ mark with hopes of bouncing and not even whales will be able to push down the price that much anymore - One can only hope Smiley

Ima catch this falling knife like a mofo.
Just a little longer.

Looking at the Bitstamp 1d chart, it's more obvious that this artificial pump really got started on 11/24/2017 @ ~$8k. That also coincided with the media ramp up. So it's safe to assume that if the pumping started there, then the dumping will end there as well or fairly close to it.
I could see it going just a tad lower due to psychological human nonsense, but that's pretty much where the dump should at the very least start losing its momentum.

Agreed, I would call the very-bad-bottom between 5,500 and 6k but still hoping for this 10k band to resist - The next 24 hours are...

I’m eating a late lunch, sipping champagne & even I will admit this is fucking terrible. I won’t be able to retire for at least another two or three years at this rate.

Let me stress to all those panicking though - You haven’t lost anything if you don’t sell - 1 bitcoin is still 1 bitcoin. HODL & you will be greatly rewarded after the next halving.

Why HODL if you can sell and re-enter at a better price?

is there a platform where u can do that without verification ?

There are several decentralized exchanges around atm where you can do it without verification, volume is not to trade in the mils yet, though.

Lol. Companies are so dumb.

After reading CNBC today saying that "Tether was the only cryptocurrency that was resisting the crash" you can expect anything really.

Ok gonna swallow that bait... Both Waves and Ethereum platforms have several options, Ethereum ones are smart contract based and Waves has a DEX included in the official wallet.

I know, but didn't they create 100mil out of thin air recently? Just that fact still makes the CMC mention on that article totally stupid.

Just think of a bitcoin like a used car that you're getting shit offers for, but you know that it's worth way more.

Q: $14k? $12k? $10k? $8k?
A: Nope

Good that we both agree here, that BTC should be at 1000$, the value at which it was useable as a P2P-currency

Got a totally decent Imperial Stout lined up for this evening. One nice thing about the last year in crypto is not drinking more, but drinking better.

And I thought you were the healthiest of us...

I have a friend who’s a multi millionaire.  Double digits.  He got burned on LTC by buying it above $300 when stupid TV was pumping it

If your friend keeps investing like this he won't be a millionaire for long. How could he buy LTC at $300 seeing that it was $4 one year before?
I would not buy even a Van Gogh after an 80X price rise in one year, or even a bitcoin.

People getting investing advice from the TV will get REKT on any market, and they better stay out of crypto, both for themselves and the already scarce sanity of this market. We already have enough pump chasers.

He’s  a multi millionaire and will continue to be so because he builds successful businesses but the point was for him bitcoin was just like any other investment.  So he thought he was smart and listened to the “investment talking heads” on Bloomberg.  Yes it sucks for him but he wasn’t stupid and bought too much or mortgaged his house for it but the point I was trying to make is that this segment of the population might not be coming back to Bitcoin right now.  I’ll keep pinging him and eventually the lightbulb will go off but it won’t be tomorrow or in a month.  Again totally anecdotal evidence.  Don’t use this to trade.  LOL

One can't help but wonder how "builds successful businesses" and listening to "investment talking head on Bloomberg" about crypto can mix in the same phrase.

I wanna know whats going through the mind of someone selling here. Do they think this is their last chance of selling at 6K?

Probably cutting losses, mostly people that have not enough FIAT stashed to survive a long(er) bearish period, even being usually bullish and with some massive (for me) orders at 5,xxx range I feel a bit nervous about the current situation, this has gone down FAST without signs of resistance and this is what creates the dominant negative sentiment.

Eth.

EDIT: BUY orders, I meant.

Oh come on, u know it's not
same thing happened at 7k
8k

etc

Well like I said I have massive buy orders on the 5k range so part of me wants it to reach that levels, the other side though would like to skip the gains and bounce back ASAP to that 11-12k safety area.

Have we hit despair or is it yet to come?

I have not seen a single media report that Bitcoin is dead.

Nouriel has been flappin' his gums lately.

https://twitter.com/Nouriel/status/960743853748883456

 Nouriel Roubini‏

As expected Bitcoin now crashes below $6000. Now the $5K handle is reached.  And the US Congressional Hearing on Crypto-Scams is still a day away.  HODL nuts will hold their melting Bitcoins all the way down to ZERO while scammers and whales dump and run...

Isn't this the guy that keeps saying that bitcoin is dead since $100?

Look at the volume. Look at it.

It looks pitiful.  But is that your point?
Beacuse it's eclipsing everything else in the chart?

I dunno.  Doesn't look like that much volume:

I think that he means the volume needed to keep the downwards movement has had to increase, therefore meeting more (hopefully organic) resistance.
