I wonder if since the other exchanges are having some sort of issue if all the trading has now moved to the Gox hence the recent increase somewhat.

I think the price will continue to rise moderately.I would especially look to Mid-May when Coinlabs come online considering there needs to be a main US exchange to replace the now defunct Bitfloor.

also blockchine.info wallets are getting hacked.
this should cause some intense feeling of panic for nubs.

some will make safe paper wallets

some will cash out.

I agree,bitcoin-centeral coins I think are being unloaded at the Gox.It is the only real place that has the market to absorb a lot of coins.

The Coinlab lawsuit should a big issue since it is not some script kiddy trying to simply manipulate the price. We don't know how the The Gox would be able to pay for such a lawsuit.......Cyprus taught us a few things didn't it?

That wall is so crazy that it has to be part of a pump&dump scheme. Otherwise, it's just too crazy. Who the heck is going to put a $2M bid on a single point, just below the spot price, in such a tiny market as BTC? I bet is someone pushing the price up before a massive dump. Interesting situation nevertheless.
.....I think we have a new species,Pigeonbear,no one knows when the dump is coming!

The one thing I've noticed concerning this issue is that it is almost like Bitfloor even though the circumstance is different. The freezing of assets in some form in the US is not really a good thing for acceptance. It makes me wonder how Coinlabs would have survived if it had opened for business.

at the risk of getting slaughtered here, does no one feel the price is being propped up? don't get me wrong i've been well wrong since July consistently but I dont see unabashed demand for bitcoins, i see huge buys at 4 AM UK time when the US is starting to go to bed and massive bid walls appearing as has been the case it seems from 75 onwards.

I am just curious as to how far this will go, clearly there is little trading activity at these new prices and those walls propping up the price if they dissapeared we would find ourselves at 120 again in no time flat.

Just curious if I'm reading this wrong and this is actually huge demand / paradigm shift.  To me it seems like a giant bet on which way the whales will go next.
Hmmm.....Whales can only Dive,lol!

With the convoluted issues at Mtgox concerning "Withdrawals" it didn't technically function as an 'exchange' therefore they, imo, have lost their spot and this rally might be somewhat over.I think if there is another rally Mtgox might not be responsible for it and perhaps another exchange will be looked at as the price point for BTC.
