Kind of difficult to believe you about any of this when you are seeming to engage in such exaggerations.

Sure, I am not happy that I got kicked out of Bitfinex as a USA related person, and I am not happy that Bitfinex did not allow any adjustment of withdrawal fees; however, in the past weeks, I engaged in a large number of withdrawals from Bitfinex -both large quantity and also several transactions, and they did not diddly dally on any one of my withdrawals.

My BTC were withdrawn in 8 parts, and I also withdrew (in one part each) Monero, LTC, Bcash, ETH and ETC.  Each and every one of my withdrawal request were processed within an hour or so, and so now, I have zero value remaining on bitfinex...  

Kraken are actually doing quite well with their laptop.

 I gave them my money for a couple of foot warmers.  The day I got them, I had to unplug the Christmas tree lights because a breaker popped when they started up and then the same night one of the PSU's cooked itself while I was at work which woke my wife up with that terrible ozonated burning plastic smell.  The next morning I set them up on the kitchen counter where we had a 20A service using an old computer PSU and the paper-clip trick so I could free up the circuit for the Christmas lights.  By this time, she was a little upset with my new hobby but she tolerated it because she loves me

I am thinking of taking a short position on margin that is significantly smaller than the coins I own. I think the bottom is not in yet, but would like to be wrong. I have a job that pays well and I will buy more if 2k comes and then I am not investing anymore, bc I cant afford to lose more than 40k right now.

My question is can you or anyone else give me their best argument as to why the bottom is in or not. I feel longer term investors than myself might have better insight than me so that is why I ask. I'd like to share something, I picked up the hard way.

Greed kicking in, is usually the case.
It mainly applies to shitcoins, but also to BTC.

NEVER EVER, FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR COINS.

Let's not forget why we are here. To improve our quality of life - somebody wrote that the other day.
You got to know when to take the profit/loss.
But the most difficult thing is to find the balls to follow through.
You have to think rationally & dig deep.

Shorted almost all of my alts with a loss (~40%) during last summer. Bought BTC.
Shorted that BTC in November just before the big leg down (thnx WO). Bought it back the following month.
Still buying BTC every week now. I have a yearly target to meet.
Did I loose to my alts? Not much all things considered.
Do I own alts? Yes, recently been buying back a little. They will eventually max out at 15-20% of the total investment.
The whole point of shitcoins is to acquire more BTC - not the opposite.
What will always be the first thing to sell in profit? Alts. Shorting BTC requires an extraball, & ffs always HODL some.

Personally the last two years have been a huge learning experience.
And it's only getting better.
