So is now a good time to buy with China not saying much at the weekend?

buying seemingly started on both stamp and huobi

I was expecting someone to close the arb gap on them. but this will do.

So we're through the December ban , the January one , the April 15 deadline , the may 10th , why do people still watch Huobi?

The lack of buying interest in the west, creates the need to follow the Chinese 0% fee exchanges, with simulated volume. So, everyone could continue to live in their make believe land. thinking that there is demand for bitcoin somewhere.
When Chinese exchanges finally close, then soon there will be a proper drop, because there is no fake dreams to follow any more.

Wait, Chinese exchanges are closing?

The Chinese exchanges have been running on a borrowed time since December, when pboc declared that they don't want to see any business activity in China involving bitcoin. Now they are just gradually toughening the laws to gently root out bitcoin without any major incident. The bitcoin market is foolish and inefficient for believing the Chinese exchange owners, on how they have a really good feeling that everything will be all right. The Chinese exchanges were just trying to act confident to keep their business alive as long as possible and to rake in as much money as possible, before you can't even play legal tricks to keep the business going.

That makes no sens, the pboc have never said anything about stopping exchanges being operational and they can just move offshore if they need.

Plus I always here that Chinese volume numbers are fake so they probably dont hold as many coins as we think.

Does anyone think that now is a good idea to buy? Ive waited for a few months like I was told and now this has reverse?

The worst someone can do here is tell others to buy and sell. That is up to you.

I think this too but the advice of many others months ago has saved me loosing 50% of what I have to invest. I make my own decisions still but there are others who know better. I don't listen to newbies for a start Smiley

You met someone who could predict the future? Can i have his number please?

No I met someone who knows how to draw all the pretty lines that people draw around here and his lines said don't buy yet. He may not know for sure but he did predict the future and save me 1000's.

You seriously think anybody here can predict the future by drawing lines? Come on. How many millions does that guy make per month? He must be filthy rich right?
You/he got lucky. That's all.
Never take investment advice from anyone here. There is not one person here who knows where Bitcoin will go tomorrow let alone in a few months from now. 90% or probably more of these people drawing lines lose money. They just won't tell you of course. Bitcoin doesn't follow lines. It's that simple.
Ask any of these people who draw lines how many millions it made them. They will come up with tons of excuses but never that drawing lines simply doesn't work.

No of course not I was doing the sarcasm. Im just saying you cant say always dont take advice off people (not here) because I took the advice and it saved me lots of money. This has bubbles all the time and so most people seemed to have known it was going to crash and then gox and China ruin it as well. People had very good arguments in decemeber why it would go down more so I wanted to see if anyone had the opposite argument for why it might go up.

What happened on Nov 11th was just someone's attempt to try and get the EMA to cross early (and it failed).

Yes everybody, $100+ rally with  hundreds of thousands of coins traded was all down to one person attempting to get the EMA to cross.  Roll Eyes

Zoom out on that chart. It paints a different picture. Just cause it doubled doesn't mean anything. Lots of ALTs double over a few days and go back down. Hindsight is easy, its much harder to get timing right and be in a coin when it pumps. Xrp and stellar are at the end of their pumps. The xcp pump is over . in a week or so another alt will pump. Nothing out of the ordinary

Yes, but you'll have to wait your turn, the line starts over there.

Can I get your latest theory on how China caused this price rise please?

Hopefully it is Coinbase cashing some out to get ready to fork that cash over in court.  Leaking fake fucking news and "rick rolling" Californians.

You still didn't tell us if you lose $220k of your money or a 220k potential because of the pump.

It was my money.

Account equity= Yours.

I see no pump... BTC @ $234.

Edit:

Check that! In coming pump to $235!

Anyone who lost money on the easiest to see pump and dump ever deserved it lol

Edit. Bit harsh but you would not complain if it went up and you made 220k would you. You made a trade and lost just like many people
