The large 330 EUR wall at Kraken has just been set to two small 325 EUR and 320 EUR walls!

The large 326 EUR wall at BTC-e still remains...

...is there someone running out of money or is this the beginning of the dump?

These are not walls.  Compare their sizes to those elsewhere.

right, but compared to the amount of the exchange Kraken - and that it has been set/not been changed/pumped since friday - i think perhaps this is a sign. Something is moving. Kraken is not that important, but has also been "occupied".

On bitcoin.de someone has tried on frieday and over the weekend to set some kind of "wall", but there this will not really  work that way, because of the different concept of bitcoin.de.

Because i believe to recognize that "all markets"/even the smaller exchanges, show kind off walls that have been set, perhaps the smaller exchanges will be prepared earlier for the big dump...

Just noticed something is happening - ...and perhaps we will soon be below $400

If you own the most energy efficient equipment available now, the price could get to 100$ and you would still make more money than what you pay in electricity.

However, the difficulty would probably go way down from less efficient miners shutting their systems down, so perhaps it would still be profitable until 50$. Of course, that also means that your miner will take about 10 years to pay for itself, especially if it is hosted in an expensive data center.

You may try different numbers there: http://www.vnbitcoin.org/bitcoincalculator.php

so, if you add rent, labour costs (cleaning, coffee,...), taxes, ... - i think the limit could be about $200 until it hurts some "whale" - still some drop to go until we will reach the bottom / trend will probably turn around

bullish, if people have fear for the safety of their money
bullish, if the confict escalates or seems to escalate

=> the situation concerns bitcoin if people escape into bitcoin.

1h, 2h and 4h MCAD/RSI are going to sync

excuse for the noob question,

so a red candle on wisdom means more sell volume than buy volume?
and a red candle can be higher (than previous candles)due to a a higher sell price?

Just means that the opening price was higher than the closing price, it has nothing to do with volume.

thx!
but the lenght of the candle has to do with the volume i suppose

No the body of the candle (the thick part) consists of the opening and closing price, the small sticks indicate the highest or lowest price during the time in which candle is formed.

I believe that I still do NOT really understand the candles.

Let's just take the 30 minute candle.

There is an entry price and an exit price for the 30 minute period.  Yes, I understand that the length of the candle will reflect all the prices in which BTC traded during that 30 minutes.

Explanation 1:  The candle will be red if the exit price is lower than the entrance price and the candle will be green if the exit price is higher than the entrance price.

Explanation 2:  The candle will be green if buying outpaces selling during that period and red if selling out paces buying.

Regarding Explanation 1: If the thick part of the candles reflects the price entrance and exit points,  sometimes the thick part of the candle does NOT seem to match with the supposed price entrance and exit points... b/c the exit of one candle does NOT match up with the entrance of the next candle or possibly with the entrance into the next candle after that... or the thick portion of the candle is just sitting aloof and not connected to either side..   Something seems to be wrong with my understanding of these candles b/c frequently the thick parts of the candles do NOT seem to match up.

Regarding Explanation 2:  This seems more plausible b/c explanation 1 does NOT seem to pan out regarding the matching of the entrance and exit locations - the thick parts of the candles.

...for explanation 1 choose: "settings" - "CandlestickHLC"

China isn't as significant as people would like to believe
Of course it isn't.  Like now, for example, the price is not moving only because the Wertern traders are holding back while the Chinese are sleeping.  They do not want the spectators at the Chinese exchanges to miss any of the action.

Now that's funny, doc.

Are we allowed to assume that the Chinese, just like us Westerners, like to take a nap occasionally?

Maybe sleep from, say around 11pm to around 7am?

You know, one could say, they slumber during that time?

And maybe we could see what happens on Bitstamp during those hours (-8h to map to tradingview time), based on some volatility measure... oh, if only such a thing existed. Something to measure the narrowness of the (price) trading bands...

Oh, whatever, I'll cut the bullshit. Here, take a look:

Orange circles are major price moves initiating smack in the middle of "Chinese night".

Must be them sleepwalking Chinamen, eh?

...and they have this strange habit since finishing all this banning at 14-05-19.

Government sanctioning Bitcoin through Auction (Bloomberg Video)

http://www.bloomberg.com/video/is-the-government-sanctioning-bitcoin-with-auction-fHjpuE_uQcqc9K88fQaR6g.html

i think this auction is a great promotion for bitcoin.
Bitcoin will be payed a lot attention by media.
...and the higher the bitcoins will be sold, the more publicity bitcoin will reward.
Charts will be on tv.
People will notice a chance, and fresh fiat will come in.
A low price, especially charts with a big downtrend, presented by the media, will not result in positive notice, and will need a lot of explanation to people interested in bitcoin.
Charts with an uptrend in the backgruond of the tv shows is a nice advertisement, and it is easier to understand than an explanation of the possibility of an uptrend after the auction.

A big drop in the next two weeks would be nice for getting cheap coins by a few.

A high rise, would be fine for publicity and fresh fiat and result in an uptrend, good for all of us. (finally to the moon)

let the chart rise to the moon! - only a few bucks to trigger the 12h SAR on bitstamp & huobi Wink

I still think the more likely scenario is another dip into the 500s, followed by 1 or 2 weeks of low volume sideways at 560, maybe 590, then breakout.

It is not consistent, but I believe so.  I believe that many Chinese traders tend to change their mood between 21 pm and 02 am local time, which is 15:00 to 18:00 UTC.  Probably moving to a "safer" position, which depends on what they think may happen while they sleep.  That would be more CNY if they fear a drop, more BTC if they smell a rise.

Indeed Bitstamp has been quite insensitive to the ups and down in China.  Perhaps these have been too small to activate arbitrage, or arbitrage has broken down for some reason?

this action triggered all SAR up to 4h at huobi
miners should be more careful and cash out using a larger time frame

So I've been looking at charts... one thing bothers me.

How can it be SO PERFECT?

[  ] bitcoin is alien
[  ] bitcoin is quite perfect
[  ] bitcoin is supernatural
[  ] god
[  ] devil
[  ] none of the above but trading behavior is guided by lines drawn to define limits

1w MACD's histogram is not green anymore. Not that it matters much.
TA is extremely difficult at this moment the way trends are breaking and all kinds of indicators are conflicting. Investing in Bitcoin right now is basically an act of faith. "I believe that Bitcoin is the future of money and will eventually rise even if it's not rising right now". I'm finding myself looking to take a long term investment with money that I'm willing to lose and closing out the rest of my 'trading position'.

Nice double top forming.
Be ready for a correction to 500$.

Increase your BTC holdings by 20% without doing much (just selling).

Very interesting. TA-Trolling...

Breaking support and conforming this Double Top would mean a ~620$ target, not 500$.

this is not even a proper double top

The EBA report is of almost no consequence right now.  Banks don't hold or sell bitcoins and why would we want them to?

Newsflash: using bitcoins does not require banks!  You only need a bank for your fiat money and the EBA report says very clearly that banks should not be disuaded from offering fiat current accounts to Bitcoin businesses.
the EBA report is a promotion paper of the EBA, that there is a lot of work to be done in regulation, that it will cost a lot of money and manpower to be done and that it is suggestest to be done because the EBA says, bitcoin is, after checking bei the EBA, to be regulated, because of the risks that are bigger than the advantages... - so please give us the task/money/manpower to do the paperwork.

Price between bubbles oscillates within this channel. Channel slope is about 10x/yr. So even without bubble, price should reach 6K$ by next July.

I'm just wondering whether or not any of this will come to pass with the hundreds of thousands of bitcoins in the hands of complete crooks and/or incompetent fat-head boobs like Karpeles.  Keeping my fingers crossed but I have a sinking feeling that all of this human greed and incompetence is going to slow the 6K mark down quite a bit.  Perhaps by the end of 2015 it might hit $6k.  (hoping for your scenario though)

I'll be happy if btc hits $6k this decade to be honest. For those of us who bought in early that will be nearly a 1000 fold increase.
...according to this projected minimum cost per BTC, there's no way out:  Cool
