My bids are placed from $450-388. I don't think we'll go lower than that.

ANy reason for this fall ?

Speculating here but.. not enough new blood, plenty of people who bought at $1000 and are losing faith. I don't know.
But I certainly don't see any reason for us to go below the $380 level, which if I remember correctly, was about where the November rally really took off.

While I have my first bid in the mid $400s, I'm curious to see if that 807 BTC wall at $545 is real or not.. and if it will hold.
Either I will get my bids filled, or I'll be buying on the way back up.. but I have a certain number of BTC in mind and I can afford it all the way to $756.. so whatever.

Now moved to $535 and increased to 883 BTC.

I dont get why people sell right now, maybe they are getting greedy thinking about dat juicy 400 or something

Its very risky to sell now, if you want to sell to buy low , you already missed the train.

Its about long haul from now. If it goes lower, i will put some more fiat in and hold for 1+ year

The coins that I have already are long term ones, so I won't sell them. The ones that I would buy if we get to mid $400 and lower would also go into my long term stash, so I wouldn't be selling those either.

Unless the fundamentals change in some very negative way, I really don't see a good reason to sell .. well, other than taking profits if you day trade. But for investors, there's no good reason.. only bad emotional reasons caused by FUD.

For anyone subscribed to a technical analysis newsletter (not gonna name it, not advertising) this is no surprise.
They've been saying that we need to go down for several weeks now.. so it's about time we actually did.

Yes.. it's nice down there.

Wow, sentiment really sucks on here ... this wedge feels like it is close to resolving, must be a good time to buy?

Soon.. my bids have been sitting at $446 and down for some time now (check my previous posts).
I won't be using up all my fiat on those bids though, just in case we pass $380 and go deeper.. 'cause if we do, all bets are off. We'd be in a bear market then.

We have a long way to go before I would consider this a bullish resumption. I'd say at least $580.
Otherwise we might end up continuing the downtrend again to even lower levels. I'm not doing anything at this point.

12. Post 6212270 (copy this link) (by Broseph Stalin) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_12.37h):

When I say that I'm not doing anything right now, it's because I simply don't know where we're going.
I don't feel comfortable saying that the downtrend is over unless we go above $580. But at the same time I'm not as bearish as TERA.
I'm trying to stay balanced in my approach, so I'm somewhere in between bear/bull. I'm not ready to come out of the closet yet.

It is with regret that I announce I have gone bull, and have bought back most my coins in phases over the past 3 days. Once the 3D cross happens (which seems inevitable), I am offlining them, and taking a break from trading during the midpoint-consolidations.

That might be an unexpectedly short break.  Time will tell.

I'm still waiting for $590. Unless we break $540-550 on volume and keep going, there may still be time for a pullback.
But I'm becoming more and more bullish. Fingers crossed etc.

Disclosure: I bought some at $517.

I'm still waiting... this will be an interesting day either way. But so far we haven't been able to push far enough to convince me that the down trend is broken.
We're very close though... sooo close.

It's now 10:47 AM in New York. My experience is that we see the next round of volume start to come in sometime between now and 4-5 PM NY time. Lunch time and evening.

16. Post 6320659 (copy this link) (by Broseph Stalin) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_12.39h):

As long as we don't break $550 on large volume, I will remain bearish. I've readjusted my position from 35/65 to 50/50 (more in fiat now).
Feeling comfortable no matter what happens now. Taking a break from bitcoin and waiting for my alarms to go off (either lower than $400 or higher than $550).

Just combined two charts and drew some lines... the bitstamp one from October-now and a long term price trendline chart 2011-2015.

For bears: How long should bitcoin price rise and to what price that we can call this dip over?

I'm sticking with >$550 on high volume. If we're not able to do that, we're not going anywhere.

My amateurish take on technical analysis. Am I doing it right?

Based on the above, I either think we will complete the fifth wave at around $621 and then retrace all of them, or we'll continue in the channel and go to the moon.

The green marker on the modified William's R% is where I bought during the dip. The yellow is my "don't do a damn thing" area. Above that I sell, below it I buy.

Stamp, tear down this wall!

$590 - 531.38476183 BTC

Part of that 600 BTC on stamp sold into mine. Made me go "whoa".
Someon put up a big wall at $568. I placed mine at $568.01.

5 seconds later: both gone in one fell swoop.
