Point is, i've been waiting for fiat to blow since people starting saying this on the internet about 15 years ago. It's coming.... It's coming....

It's really coming and it ain't be fun. US desperately need another WW.

Tell that to the music, movie and video game addicted millennial. Smiley
Middle finger will be shown to the government promptly! Cheesy Cheesy

Like they did in 2001? People signed up in droves for the chance to fight. Propaganda and media manipulation are very powerful tools.

Shit, where were those WMD's again?

I didn't think I would ever put more fiat into BTC, but that's what's happening. Probably gonna end up with 95% in BTC.

Wish me luck boys and girls.

Don't be advertising how many coins you have boys, I'd delete those posts.

Anyone going to walk away from crypto if BCH wins? Or are you happy to use whatever coin comes out on top? I got into Bitcoin for the same reason it was created in the first place, being sick and tired of greedy billionaires manipulating the system for their own gains. And yet here we are, Roger Ver trying to devalue the wealth I already have in order to achieve adoption of his shitcoin. Sounds like a plan straight out of the centralised bankers playbook. It fucking stinks.

Jillions of butthurt core-ians keep mouthing about how they are gonna dump Bitcoin Cash down to zero. I'm sitting here at my pick-a-nick table with plenty of ammo when they eventually get around to it. But it just doesn't seem to be happening. I think these big-mouthed core-ians are inwardly scared Bitcoin Cash will emerge victorious, and are hence hedging their bets. By not following through on their empty threats.

Yeah - you (the reader, not necessarily bitserve). Yeah - you. You know who you are.

Mine are long gone squire.

SELL, November FUD is starting, buy at lower for quite a profit. Going to 3600 soon and who knows where this will end.

Hey, it's a good job you posted that, I'd forgotten what you said 15 minutes ago.

Any ideas how to best prepare for the next fork (which will probably be our own)?
Pls don't say Litecoin.

Just move your coins to addresses where you control the private keys and hope it gets sorted out. If neither Core nor btc1 are going to do adequate replay protection, it might get really messy. However, BU has been around for quite some time, and someone could have attempted a hard fork with that software, but no one did. Let's hope that no one will dare execute btc1 hard fork, and we will just have to deal with the scaling squabble for many months, if not years to come.

BU was most of the time below 40% hashrate. Segwit2x is over 90%.

Also BCH is a completely new altcoin. It even has modification in the difficulty adjustment algo, which has allowed it survive. With current diff algo the minoritary Bitcoin chain would really struggle to survive if a HF happens because of Segwit2x discrepancies.

Watched a vid by Roger Ver earlier. Full of lies and stupidity. Reckons homogeneous is another word for privacy. If he doesn't understand English, what hope for BCC?

Ahh, you liked that quote did you? Yes, I am Captain Ahab!

Is the community going to want to recognize BCH as the "one and only?"

Time shall tell...

Some muddle-headed millionaire forked off an alt. What's all the excitement about? I don't get you sometimes. Huh

I get that you don't get me. Then again, you don't get Bitcoin Cash. Perhaps you are too locked into this echo chamber?

It is not that 'some muddle-headed millionaire forked off an alt'. Rather, a significant fraction (absolute magnitude unknown) got tired of arguing over the proper route forward for Bitcoin, and did something about it.

Better yet, several scant days into the project, all is going according to plan. That's where the excitement lies.

Though you did get a bonus of between 5% and 40%, depending upon when you hopped off. And you're complaining about it. I don't get you sometimes. XD

1. He is a muddle headed millionaire. He's also an egotistical megalomaniac, "I was the first investor", I'm the biggest shareholder", "I know about economic code", "homogeneous is another word for privacy", etc, etc.

2. What did this "significant fraction" do? Ah yes, congested the network with spam to drive transaction fees up, which the muddle headed clown then proceeds to blame the core team for, banging on about a horrible user experience.

3. All is going according to plan? What, coordinated pumps of BCC at the same time as dumping BTC to drive the price of the shitcoin up so they get more BTC for it? Great plan, excellent.

Whoosh. There it goes. Over your head.

Anyways....

Of course, I realized the implication was about Roger Ver. Here's the thing though. Roger had zero to do with the creation of Bitcoin ABC, which ended up the catalyst that kicked this big block initiative over the hump. Sure, he likes it, but he was not -- and is not -- a driving force to its creation. This is a team effort. By a rather large team.  Hence my comment about this here echo chamber.

Yes, it went right over my head that the people who are offering forcing a solution to a problem are in fact the people who created the problem in the first place.

I have also failed to notice that you ignore this point, and the issue of blatant market manipulation because neither of these fit with your agenda.

And no, I am not BlindMayorBitcoin. Alt accounts and shills are a tactic more often employed by the BCC fanbase, so I can see how your mind may have become naturally suspicious.

Anyway...

Been waiting for the bounce before making a guess for the ATH game, December 1st for me. Reason: trend line on the chart, simple as that.

For the record, I ain't sold shit.

Well my take on the current state of play is like this:

People who had the inside knowledge on what was brewing in China shorted and dumped to induce some fear into the market.

Then starts the FUD, drip, drip, drip. Price goes down accordingly. Then the actual news was confirmed. Down some more. Nom,nom, cheap coins.

Then Jamie Demon, who probably also had the inside line on China has a go. Even cheaper coins. All while the price hasn't gone anywhere near parabolic for this cycle. Banks are scared, with profit and revenue down. To them $180bn is a big fucking pie. Governments are worried too, as we all know. They would all love to see crypto fail. And yet some people still want even cheaper coins, cue more FUD about China banning mining. These people are either playing the long game and don't care if they push it into a bear market, or they think it's gonna moon.

I know what I'm betting on. If I'm wrong and it goes down, I ain't too bothered. I'm in it for the long haul.

Peace out boys. Not you though r0ach. Scuttle off back to your hole you weird racist prick.

Thanks torque

Ok so basically I don't know anything about ledgerX but I'm guessing this is a good way for certain people to invest in bitcoin without buying coins so to speak.

How big is this news and why isn't anyone excited yet then?

They'll be buying coins alright:

"Prior to placing a bid to purchase one or more Exchange Contracts, a prospective buyer must post
to LedgerX the USD bid amount of each Exchange Contract it wishes to purchase, the aggregate
amount of which will be debited from such buyer’s account on the Initial Payment Date in
satisfaction of such buyer’s delivery obligation under each such Exchange Contract. At settlement,
the buyer will receive physical delivery of one bitcoin for each Exchange Contract purchased.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, a buyer that has a net short Exchange Contract position at LedgerX
prior to purchasing one or more additional Exchange Contracts will have short positions assigned
to one or more sellers of Exchange Contracts with the same Trade Date. As a result, any such
buyer will receive physical delivery of bitcoin only to the extent that the number of Exchange
Contracts purchased on such Trade Date is net positive (e.g., a buyer with an open short interest
of 5 bitcoin who then purchases 10 Exchange Contracts would receive 5 bitcoin at settlement)."

Should be good IMHO.

Go back and watch that Elliot Wave analysis again.

Did you watch it? Because the dude doesn't say it's going to $200 prior to $20k as you stated, he says the correction is nearly complete for this leg, and it could then go to $79k before a much deeper correction.
