Why are they called ships of the desert?
Deserts aren’t always dry, they can be prone to flash floods. Camels are called ships of the desert because they are accomplished swimmers.
If you go to Egypt, you can see camels swimming in the Nile. They swim into the mangroves to eat mangrove shoots.

I can't think of any canned food that I would eat. I saw some canned ham at the store...as I was holding it contemplating if things would get so bad as to need to eat ham from a can...I figured I'd rather go catch some fresh fish than have to resort to such savagery.

Well, I would have to say this has been the worst day ever of all my days in bitcoin (since April 2013) and I think I'm going to have to just not look at it for a while in order to give myself time to accept this shit. coffee is so essential the furthest i can move before i need a cup of coffee,

I only had to walk across the parking lot to get myself a double espresso this morning and on the way back, a hotel employee wearing gloves wished me a good morning and handed me some paper bags each containing a 200ml bottle of water, an apple and a blueberry muffin. Life is good. We have lots of food with us, but we wont have to tuck into it just yet.
There are very few cases of the virus where I am presently but I see the numbers have quadrupled near our home. Without being too specific, there are nearly 25X the number cases near our home compared to my present location and we don't have to be anywhere specific for over a week yet.
I quit smoking many years ago but I remember how well that cigarette used to go with my morning coffee. Opening a fresh pack of smokes and inhaling that lovely scent of cured tobacco was a treat - it was ritualistic. It was very difficult when I first quit to have that cup of coffee in the morning without my cigarette even long after the desire for cigarettes themselves had subsided.

Who's buying the dip then? Bitcoin under $5K is a 75% discount folks. As LFC said a few days ago... don't complain later on that you didn't stack satoshis at these cheap prices. While the stock market bounces in a dead cat manner, and Bitcoin corrects and re-tests $4K level support, long-term this is actually very good imo. I think stocks have further to go down (long-term, like another 50% over the coming months), I don't think BTC has much further to go down (long-term, like $2.5K would be my lowest target, unlikely to be reached too). Bitcoin breaking the correlation with global markets is a
great thing, even if not in the direction we might all immediately hope for in the short-term.

Yeah, go back home or wherever you would rather prefer to stay confined in the case of a full long term lockdown before it's too late. I am currently "trapped" in the wrong home because I can not move anymore without risking HUGE fines. Was waiting while putting my shit together till everything clarified... and restrictions tightened instead. Now I am only like 10km apart from where I would like to spend my isolation time and I can't go there. Frustrating.
