So where do you guys think are current support and resistance levels?
TA threads seem dead on this forum now

Support is around 420 Bitstamp. 400 is more of a psychological barrier with no support at all, we could test 300's in the event of some devastating news like another exchange closure or an account ban by Citibank or Chase.
weak upside resistance at 500, strong resistance at 600.
A good showing in Korea by the Winkevoss twins could make this explode.

Isn't it ironic that the libertarian bitcoiners, champions of laissez-faire capitalism, are betting all their life savings on the hope that the Satoshi Bitcoin will be one day the only cryptocurrency in the market, so that they can charge monopoly prices for it?

I guess this might also be the reason why BTC-E is so much lower, and they have asks between 100-500BTC that get refilled quickly all the time since a week.
BTC-E for now might seem as the last safe place to cash out criminals money.
Also the reason why LTC hasn´t been pumped that much.
The reason is because the high fees to fund btc-e accounts. Payeer (btc-e payment processor) Visa/MC fees are $7.50 per hundred USD -- so $15 for two hundred, and so on... That's about 35 BTC basis points added per $100 USD purchased. Probably similar for other countries. It's fast though, MasterCard funds can be transferred into Payeer then btc-e in minutes. Bank transfers into btc-e kinda risky I hear and can take over a month.
Coinbase may quote couple dollars higher than Bitstamp, but it is way cheaper than btc-e.

Just noting for those that don't think China matters, volume during this runup on Huobi (one of 2 big Chinese exchanges) has been 4x that of Bitstamp (Westerner's largest exchange).
Both Huobi and OKCoin represent 60% of the global Bitcoin exchange market. Bitstamp is 7%.

Someone care to explain why BTC-E is nearly $20 behind bitstamp?
What is the cause of this?
BTC-e is more expensive to get money into. For each $100 added via Visa/MC payeer adds $7.50 cost. So for $500 that's $37.50 fee. So at current prices for BTC, for every $100 purchased, the payeer fee is like an additional 40 basis points extra
(530 + 40 = 570).
Edited to strike out bad math.

I've read about the Willie account at least a couple months ago on

Seems like old news taken from various sources, although well pieced together with pictures and charts.

Post 7055059 (copy this link) (by RUEHL) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_12.48h):
There is no TA in the Bitcoin market. The prices are controlled by whales who pump and dump how and when they like. And also by the news. 2 things the traders can't control or predict. All they can do is run behind it and hope they get lucky.
And that's exactly what you see most traders here do.
TA in Bitcoin is more pure, moreso than Wall Street and stocks. Even with Willie and the Chinese trading bots, there is way more manipulation on Wall Street than in Bitcoin which makes it easier to read. If you use TA correctly, it's the study of human mentality, jubilation, capitulation and breaking points. This is a perfect example:

Is anyone else suspicious of BTC-E at the mo? There was some very peculiar looking trading going on there on the way down and no one needs reminding what happened the last time an exchange has a consistent price disparity.
What is also worries me is that BTC-e fails to add DRK. Just yesterday alone, at 3 million trades mintpal gained 9k alone in fees. Just doesn't make sense that BTC-e won't add new hot coins unless something odd is going on. DKR is even now on Bitfinex as their 3rd ever coin.

I agree. I had the opportunity to buy BTC at $11 back in 2011 BUT I wasn't ready and didn't know the fundamentals why it's so great. I probably would've sold at the $18 or $30 peaks.
Years later I'm ready, I understand the fractional reserve system and how the central banks have their dirty hands in all recent major historical events. Now I understand it's a long term hold and with any hope, there will be no need to convert to FIAT.

Some fear huge BTC spending from the first Black Friday by large retailers offering use of Bitcoin (Dell, Overstock, Expedia, Newegg, etc...).
Retailers don't keep BTC, they dump to FIAT.
So essentially, when you spend BTC on items you are essentially dumping it on the open exchange.
