Well, I think me with my ca. 1000 Euro (i am student btw) will have much more real money then all those hodlers with 1000's BTC by the end of the day:))
If someone with 1000's of BTC would sell like 0.5% of their BTC holdings they would have more 'real' money than you at the moment, plus all that 'fake BTC money'.

For those of you who feel a little uneasy because of the latest 'dip'...
I superimposed the current trend (over the last 50 days) with the run-ups to the April and November 2013 peaks.
We still seem to be right on track for a peak between $4000 and $5000...
Good news is we only need to wait a fortnight (maximum) to find out if history will repeat itself.
edit: This plot has the peak occurring in late July, which is based on the assumption that the peaks occur (approximately) every 234 days (an assumption based on historical data).
Nice graph! This is looking very promising, let's hope history will repeat itself.
About 2-3 weeks left to buy cheaply it seems

I have less than 12 coins and at this current moment I wouldn't dare to sell even 1.
At this current moment the upward potential by far outweighs the chance of buying in a tiny bit cheaper along with the chance of missing out and/or having to panic buy back in at a higher price.
Also you don't lose money unless you sell at a loss, by holding in a small temporary downwards movement you don't lose anything.

If anyone sold short term (weeks) be careful for high up volume, otherwise not so so risky. There won't be moon here next week.

I'd probably be a pretty bad daytrader so I stay out of that game.

As an Aussie, I have to say, all these retailers offering BTC payment are completely missing the point. Why would an American pay with BTC? A credit card is surely much much easier. It's us foreigners that need it, we get screwed by the currency conversion. At the moment the only person paying with BTC is someone that already had them, probably purchased much much cheaper, and is in effect cashing out. Nobody in their right mind would buy BTC just to purchase something online, the hassle and time involved is still ridiculous. But for something like a laptop, where currency conversion is usually around 3 -5 % of price, it could make a $100 dollar difference to everyone overseas, which would definitely drive adoption.
Dell, Overstock et al, get your shit together!!
It seems you are missing the point.
The retailers accept BTC payments because it's easy, costs them less fees than creditcard payments and there is no risk of chargebacks.
Also paying with BTC (if you already have it) is easier for the consumer, also there is no risk of identity fraud and your creditcard details won't get saved somewhere in plaintext.
Dell and Newegg also gave people the incentive to buy BTC if they didn't already have it by giving discounts

I trying to help people here, I don't care about buying back. Until I see a strong indicator that the bear market is over, or some new innovation is in development, I am out! I have been out since July, when price was still >$600.
For weeks I have warned you all about a price floor collapse, and people have scoffed and abused me. Some asked my help, and I provided it. Now they have cut their loose, and they will be OK. Don't listen to the echo chamber... market fundamentals have changed since 2013 and bitcoin is no longer a major player in the mobile payments market!
If you're trying to help people to do the same as you you make them lose real value, until you sold your BTC you never lost real value.
I bought coins above $600 and below and I'm buying even more at these prices, the lower the price goes the better.
Don't sell your coins at a loss.

We may be thinking similarly at the time, and yes, probably we just need to continue to assess the risk as the prices go up and decide whether to put more in or to withdraw some ... so buying as the prices are down and going down and selling as the prices are going up.. though the exact amounts and the timing may vary depending upon individual perspectives of risk and the spread of their total investment portfolio.
I see everything under $500 as a extremely good buying opportunity long term.
I'd also be happy to never sell my coins back to fiat if the comings years are good for BTC.
As always don't buy BTC with money you can't afford to lose and don't buy if you can't hold the coins for at least a year or else you might be forced to sell at a loss.

Price has found good support in the lower 270s, 200 day EMA support is currently at ~272.50, also support has been found near the middle BB and is currently in the positive BB zone.
