Hello.

I understand this is the real seat of power, here on Bitcointalk, and none of the other threads really interest me.

Creating this account on April 1st seemed appropriate.

My name is ThrobbingSausage, and I sometimes help to route your payments on the Lightning Network.

I like Bitcoin and Bitcoin accessories.

I offer Lightning and Lightning accessories.

Look forward to hanging out with you people.

I am here for the memes, mostly.

looks like two green months is almost guaranteed to be followed by a 3rd green dot.

I am expecting this entire year to be filled with green dots. Not all with double digit growth, but the halvening FOMO has slowly begun, and more wall street money is starting to come into play now.

I noticed a while back that your very well endowed node is a peculiarly familiar shade of pink. Smiley  One of my little nodes is hooked up to you.

I wanted a color that visibly popped. It was first a more flesh tone color to joke on the node name, but did not like the way it looked on 1ML or node graphs. Pink was more funny and visible on graphs than flesh tone.

It look like Bitcoin pricing has stalled out for the day. Try to stay at this level for a little bit ? Then, more up tomorrow.

I think the next FOMO pile-in is going to make evident to the world the weaknesses of the Core-ian approach to scaling. The other forks (hewing more closely to Satoshi's inspired design) will be there to pick up the slack.

What is the non Core-ian state of Layer 2 and instant payments ?

Though if you really want to take the security and usability hit of using Layer 2, there is always the option of using an exchange.

Not your keys, not your coins. Keeping coins on exchanges is not an argument. What security hit ?

How does SV base layer handle instant payment verification with double spend protection - 1 block per 10 minutes ? Even Bitcoin does not do this, without Lightning.

Except, of course, that exchange trades are an example of Layer 2 trades. I'm not making an argument, I'm answering your question. You asked what Layer 2 solutions existed for the other forks of Bitcoin, so for the sake of answering your explicit question...

Chicken Egg problem. What came first. The money or the bank. I do not respect your answer. Do you like XRP too ?

Lightning is replete with security tradeoffs. Worth it for some, intolerable for others.

Name one tradeoff worse than Layer 1.

Near-instant? Statistically. Amazing the things that work with five-nine's determinism when blocks are big enough to swallow all transactions generated.

Gobbledygook. Senseless.

BTC doesn't do this, with Lightning.

You are wrong. You try to be evil on Lightning, and counter party is fully rewarded and you lose everything. Incentive to play nice.

Still unanswered: How LN is going to help when Layer 1 is already clogged to the point of uselessness.

Hyperbole.

I do not believe you.

Very nice to wake up to battle for $5,000. Also very nice to see memory pool calming down.

Here my node. I will match you if you do add liquidity and open a channel with me.
https://1ml.com/node/02651fa5f3f6676c6f13d88b3ffd3101421cd3bd1773d4af92242c46f0f902ef39

Have loaded up an additional one BTC on my LND, and would like to dedicate the amount in a two for one liquidity bonus when you establish a channel with me, and post your chan_id here.

I will connect back with double the liquidity you have provided me, up to a maximum of 15,000,000 SAT, until the full 100,000,000 SAT in my balance has been exhausted. MinChanSize is defined at 3,000,000 SAT.

Infofront, sorry if this is too off topic but I wanted to clarify a recent posting of mine. I am running a two for one liquidity matching bonus for Bitcointalk related LN nodes and had a TOR user commit 15mSAT with me and I cannot easily reciprocate because I am IPV4 only. I hope to resolve things with the node operator via a private channel at the very least.

Edit Wednesday, June 5th, 2019:

I do not run TOR. My node is only accessible via IPV4. I cannot publicly reciprocate with TOR nodes connecting with me. I have set aside 100,000,000 SAT in a limited two for one liquidity swap for LND node operators part of the Bitcointalk community. I will match your incoming liquidity (MinChanSize 3,000,000 SAT) back to you two for one, up to a maximum of 15,000,000 SAT, until my balance is exhausted.
