Orders are still coming through.
Looks like people are making good use of the "lag attack" posted on reddit. Fuckers.
How would one take advantage of lag?
Was something said at BTC conference or something? Why is all this going down right now? LTC going to the moon as well. Must be "fontas."
2500 Market buy followed by a 2500 market buy [both exactly 2500] with its unfilled bids set on 145.
Er, I suppose its easier to say.. 5k order to 145, 3.3k filled; 1.7k as bid.
It got fully sold into, and now another 2k appeared
Yup. Actually it looks like exactly 2500 again. So, someone just bought 7500 coins.
Was watching this myself. These were added as well, they were not brought up from another bid level.
Is this the thing were GOX repeats all trades over and over again? Super awesome
Anyone watching on Clarkmoody, its just repeatedly selling from 590 to 500 and back from 590 down again, over and over
Yeah, it has happened before. It just loops over and over. Expect this problem to be resolved within 2 weekS and BTC will open back up under 150 (*derp)
But 4 real, they have had this loop problem b4
It looks like the API has been hijacked somehow. It's playing the same series of trades over and over again, made to look like a crash is happening. Meanwhile the real price stays at 585.
There is nothing hijacked. This happened many times before where gox"loops" trades.

Large market order happened. Then GOX does into a "loop." Whether or not outside limit orders were filled remains to be seen. They have also "rolled back" trades b4 if I remember correctly. Most of this stuff happened around 2 years ago, but apparently problem isnt fixed

Are you saying these trades actually happened? I have heard evidence to the contrary from several people with outstanding orders within the range depicted in the loop.
Yeah, just a large mkt order shut it down. happened a lot cpl years ago. whether or not outside limit orders were hit (and won't be rolled back, as this has happened b4 IIRC) remains yet to be seen
