I bought pretty much all of my coins in 2014 & am still HODLING most of them now. I decided to stop buying when we went back to $1000 after the Gox crash. Seeing that we reached $19,xxx last year though makes me think these are cheap coins atm.
I bought some the other day & am thinking about buying again today.
So who’s buying now or are you waiting to go lower still?
I am buying with both hands. Bought $1000 this months only. My total investment till now is $15k.
I have done first purchase today because now I also realizes its going to stay here or not going more down so lets see what happen with my first 2.5 bitcoins buying

Double digits never came.
Same goes for the $1500 prophecy.
People predicting those kind of prices usually have an agenda (they most likely don’t believe it themselves but they definitely want others to believe it will happen).

Technological (how to store them?)
Legal/Fiscal (how to pay taxes on them?)
Compliance (am I allowed to buy bitcoin? Is it within my management mandate?)
Regulatory pressure NOT to be involved in crypto’s
Reputational risk
Etc

This is why an integrated product like the one Bakkt wants to launch is so important from an institutional money adoption perspective.
Your many points are valid as I know many peoples they want to buy but have many problems you already mention and they cannot manage them to solve so they are going away from bitcoin.

In 2021 for sure, I’m not certain of that in 2020 but would love to be wrong.
My feeling as well ... the increase in 2020 is probably modest, but I expect / hope that we reach a new ATH in 2021 or 2022.
Main reason; the cycles are getting more spread out, and the halving is probably more anticipated now than the last time (more energy efficient miners, and so on). So I don't expect any fireworks starting before Q3 / Q4 2020.
I'd love to be wrong as well though, of course!
It would be very nice to hit anywhere between 10-14K in 2020, with the first number being more likely, IMHO.
Every time when we are entering in new year many hopes and many hate news around here but this time we have very less so surely its going to touch 10K in near future.

IMO, this sell-off seems like a fakeout by some big whales to make newbies think that bitcoin can't work as good as gold (and other safe-haven assets) during a global crisis (like coronavirus). Eventually, these whales should lose the sell-off power and bitcoin should get back on (bull) track.

Belgium corona lockdown is great, just went for one of my nicest ever 50km cycle rides. Traffic lights become irrelevant after 9pm it's liberating! Ironically, not many less people out on the streets this evening compared to previous evenings, much notably less cars... lots of people also having a walk for "exercise". Don't know what it's like in other cities... but not much has changed here apart from more restaurants are shut now. Night shops still open though, so enough people going out "shopping" it seems
This lockdown helping millions for exercise enviornment and walks as I was also checking many walking without cars and other stuff just checking whats happeing around.

Depends where you live. Also expect another lock down at end of the year. I am sure some countries will be able to avoid lock down at that time. Most probably not.
Yea I am also feeling this is going to be very long quarantine for many countries as they have no resources for control and secure peoples in many developing countries its increasing very quickly even they are on very forced locked down.
