anything that smells like a rigged market with incredibly volatile moves that  only benefit the rich and powerful is dead on arrival for mainstreet ... maybe that's exactly what Wall St. wants with bitcoin (same as they did with gold and silver)?

And Blythe has shown up fairly recently. I've been thinking about this too lately. It's a system with unlimited resources, and BTC is a direct threat to their way of life. Expect them to go after it any way they can, similar to the way gold and silver are kept 'in check'. Doesn't mean it can't be won, just that it's a battle.

The identity of the one you all know as "lambie" and her many other sockpuppets is none other than Izabella Kaminska.

Her twitter is https://twitter.com/izakaminska

She is employed as a "journalist" by FT Alphaville.

She should have been more careful, but oh well, I am good at what I do and it probably wouldn't have stopped me if she had been.

Enjoy this gift I bring to you friends and sleep easy knowing that I will not do this to any of you as long as you don't engage in behavior similar to hers.

Yours Truly,
The Doxing

I sent her $50 via changetip, for her wise words which have helped guide me. And she blocked me from following her  Cry Why! I was only saying thank you for sharing her brilliant mind.

The shills are losing the battle  Smiley

Their arguments are repetitive, obvious, and each time they post they get smashed out of the park by our resident shill-busters. Keep up the good work guys. I usually add ~2 shills/day to ignore, on average. I wonder how much they are getting paid for their sad effort.. Only the most dull-minded could read their posts and see anything but increasingly desperate attempts to derail the inevitable.

How is it you don't have the balls to call me/make my life miserable?

Who would do something like that? Even if you disagree with them, that isn't what civilized people do..

Woohoo! Up we go  Smiley

Btw, next time that shit-stirring troll (lambie/ezybella/whoever it is), I'll be ignoring straight away like usual. Interacting with somebody like that just shat up this thread, until somebody kindly cleaned house. Report post, click ignore, waste of time minimized.

It was fun troll-baiting however. When somebody has a rage blackout from being tipped BTC, you know you hit a very strange central banky nerve.

The Moment when you know you are on the right path when bitter bitcoin skeptics strangely take sides in consensus changes when they have no stake in the battle.

"Academic interest in bitcoin only."

Why so many emotional and bitter outbursts instead of cool, collective, or humored observances?

This really says it all. Kind of fun to watch them grasping at straws.

Why in the world would you sell your bitcoins during a bull run?
Because you've ended up with over 90% of your net worth as bitcoin and you ought to diversify?

That's what you call a good problem  Shocked

Our friend Hillary can't take Bitcoin because republicans do. But she is interested in being donated some alt I've never heard of. I love a good 'blockchain' endorsement.

If you want a laugh, check this out:

http://ven.vc/features

I'm not even sure if you can call it an alt. I think it's basically a database..

Who's funding this crapola?

That page reads like some of the joke currencies the comedians round here have thought up.

Not that it matters, because it Helps Nature.

"Hub Culture members have already helped us put over 25,000 acres of Amazon rainforest under protection using Ven."

How is this flying under the radar? It's been used so much, they have protected 25k acres of rain-forest. Wow!

"Holding Ven increases the ability of the Central Ven Reserve to buy carbon assets backing the currency. "

That makes perfect sense  Huh Sadly, once more, the only thing this will accomplish is the lightening of the pockets of the misinformed and gullible.

Jorge Stolfi is a big supporter of Ven, it checks out according to his logic - that's how he gets paid for his FUD contributions to the Bitcoin community.

Quote which fits here..

“It must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage than a new system. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who gain by the new ones. ” ― Niccolò Machiavelli

edit: civil war needs to stop.
I would love for the civil war to stop, but so far it seems like things keep escalating.... Sad

There is no civil war. There are some government actors planted in bitcoin ecosystem that do everything they can to generate noise and prevent accelerated bitcoin adoption.

The bad actors have created the fake civil war on purpose. It's about 20% real.

Bitcoin XT and Mike Hearn, Bitcoin Classic and Gavin, Bitcoin Unlimited and Roger Ver.

Three attempts to take-over development with a woefully inadequate support from programmers. Each attack has failed on technical measures before even fooling enough people. Each time they spun up fake nodes on VPS's to mimic support.

The three characters above were once great assets to the Bitcoin community but have become compromised, blackmail, payments or who knows what - but they are being led around by the balls, or truly idiots.

Now they only have one real play left: Social Engineering. They load up the forums with shills/trolls, trying to split the community and sway public opinion against Bitcoin in general.  They prop up and promote other alt coins now as "Bitcoin 2.0" and "way better". They string along and stall a Bitcoin ETF ruling for years, only to deny it at the 11th hour and laugh. They have even managed to gaslight former prominent Bitcoin proponents like Gavin, Roger, Mike, and big Chinese miners with false information or outright bullshit (Craig Wright is Satoshi, anyone?).

true.dat Smiley

It's nice to know somebody gets it.

I think the silent, intelligent army of characters of substance and skill will triumph.

They have the mental capital and due to that, the financial capital. Most importantly the brainpower is on the right side, in the end that will lead. The system is too complex to be run by pretend programmers and charlatans dumb enough to take money to shit on promising technology and essentially lie and woof all day long. Who wants to do that? The incompetent and the evil, and most likely the blackmailed.

BU doesn't have the ability to manage software as complex as Bitcoin today.. If that isn't obvious now than nothing will change your mind.. Which means it is not facts you care about but you are trollololing.

Little or no mention of this? Bitfinex suing Wells Fargo for USDT silliness. I can't say it was an idea that I would've entrusted a vast amount to.

Good luck to Finex. Well-Fargo are slimy motherfuckers. Let's hope they get a fair trial.

Regardless, with time, cryopto is going to destroy institutions like that. They will be made redundant soon enough.

OMG I can see the moon... buckle up guys!  Cool

Let's hope so. I'm saving my excitement for around $2000 per coin though.

$2k USD per BTC sooner than most are expecting, we'll be there long before this year is out.

The folks who think it's going to fall below 900$ and they'll re-buy are just going to end up with less Bitcoin.

What's this about that Jillian Wu/Bitmain being a shady cheating asick-boosting cock-warmer? Is this the wee lad who is primarily responsible for holding Segwit back? Somebody should walk over to him and politely explain to him he's in the badgers way.

We should cast this one out to sea already. Everyone who has come up against the badger has left minus any wealth and dignity they once had. Mike, Gavin were the ones with the most 'capital' as they made some contributions earlier, but when they wanted to go against logic and push an agenda, Bitcoin folded them like cheap lawn chairs. They had nasty intentions and the economic majority crushed their fat heads.

The badger isn't crushing Jihan - the guy is making more profit now than ever.

Currently true, this needs to change.

To get things started, a bounty on this prick who has stolen from the community for far too long.

I'll put down 100k bounty, if somebody can convince him with no threats, no violence, nothing illegal in any way, to walk away from the industry for the rest of his natural life. That should bring out some compelling arguments.

In China I don't imagine it'll take long for somebody to fill the demand.

(It's a joke, ha ha, see laughing. Just like fucking with our monetary system from within, very funny.)

Wu, your days are numbered.
