Ethereum's market cap is rising so fast that if Bitcoin's price does not increase soon, Ethereum will be number 1 in Market Cap. That will be a sad day for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin deserve that. Slow, pricy, china centered. I used to like Btc, but not anymore. I make transaction with HYPER inflated fees and wait 10 years for confirmation to go through... F* it...

Last night I waited 12 hours for confirmation at the standard fee.

I understand that the miners want to turn a buck and that they are throwing around
massive amounts of energy and hardware...

Somehow I wonder if this is still elegant enough for the top of the
line cryptocurrency.

@talkbitcoin

don't get me wrong. Ethereum has a long way to go to build anything close to the trust bitcoin has gained.
I am in it for the long haul and no I have not gotten rich, yet. I think Vitalik is probably in more trouble/minute
than he bargained for and I would not for the life of me want to be in his shoes.
Satoshi was smart not to give his identity away. Vitalik ... well, time will tell.

And it isn't that Bitcoin didn't have its shares of mishaps and major scams.
For example: I do not shed a tear for the GLBSE (Global Bitcoin Stock Exchange) and all its mining contracts.
I view the token sales as nothing more than GLBSE all over again and hope that it will end better this time.

I still chuckle from time to time at what people went through with Butterflylabs or Mt. Gox.
You remember the time when the coins from the Deep Web Drug market Silk Road where suddenly
up for auction and the price had to deal with the sudden availability of more Bitcoins?
I still cry for the sudden disappearance of ASICMINERs Friedcat cause it did loose me a true fortune!
Do you remember Bitcoincourt? A shame it never manifested, we would still need it.

edit: spelling

I think it drops below 2k for a short while. You might see some bitcoin traded at 1500 before this correction is done.

You've sold your bitcoins at 1500? I feel sorry for your loss.

I really do not hope that it will not go that deep. I shure smell some denial though.

IF you need a strong chart indicator take a look at the "Williams Alligator" forming
in the 6h graph.

Here have an excerpt from tomorrows newspaper:

27.06.2017

Two cryptoinvestors died in a routine trade on tuesday on kraken.com after their marcet situation turned out to be a bear, authorities said.
The accident took place with a denial trading sentiment. Both were highly experienced and had never had a bear deploy from their parachute pack before.

Local police said that the moment the trade was pulled, a bear released. “We don’t know how long it had been in there, or how it survived,” one officer on the scene said.
“But it was very hungry. It began eating the bitcoin investors mid-plummet.”

“The cause of death was being eaten by a bear. They never even reached the ground,”

I don't need charts. They are for noobs to stare at them and get self hypnotized when they can't handle the truth.

Charts sure have this tendency and whales make their own market. Can you elaborate a bit on ... "truth"?

Sitting here and I am shivering. I swear i did not intend to destroy several billion of market cap with my stupid bear joke!

I managed to short the drops to increase my hodling by 2%.
And if I smell another drop i might do it again, yet I would
really hate to have to do that, because eventually I will be overrun
by more bulls resurging.

I think with new month new cash the situtation we are in might change

Silly Americans, here in Germany we at least have no Speed Limit on Autobahn for the hands of taxman in our pockets. We pay all in all easily more than 55% or income to the taxman.

Bitcoin really surprised me this year. Mempool really surprised me this year. Fucking Chainsplits should never have happend. But now that they did I wish they happend years ago already.

Honestly though. Something deep down tells me bitcoin has seen its moral peek long ago and is moving now on dead weight momentum of a really fucked up global economic system. Its like a zombie-steem-train on acid that will reach the moon.

If life goes multi-planetary and I have little doubt it will Blockchains have two Options: either seperate chains per Planet or waiting times between blocks longer than radio communication. Let DAG be good for thought.

Happy new year 2018. For sure to keep my Bitcoin.
