Shadowcash just launched the first Zero-Knowledge cryptocurrency, i'd rather see that take the throne from BTC than Ripple if BTC is destined to fail.

Personally i have a hard time valuating Darkcoin at over 300k, but heh. The price is decided by that bull whale and as soon as he will stop being greedy and start taking profit, the whole domino will collapse in a blink of an eye.

The irony about Darkcoin is it is probably one of the worst anonymous solutions of any claimed anon coins out there on the market but it has the marketing pizazz with the name which is what carries it.

One aspect people aren't talking about, Christmas is coming up in 2 months, don't think for a second that the wealthy class are not any much more different than you and me. If they think they can make some money and bring home a nice holiday sack of money for their families they will.

Have you already forgotten all the Gemini hype? How Wall st. & Big Money are gonna swoop down and panic-buy all our Bit coins?

It's funny how people think these guys haven't been talking to Wall St.'s biggest whales for the last few years.

No one just willy nilly pursues and opens a licensed Bitcoin exchange if they didn't have customers waiting in the wings to use it.

Just something else I noticed on the chart

Compare the volume levels of summer/fall 2013 to this year.

But the CAC is NOT the PBoC, so it was kind of "buy the rumor" thing. I expect sometime in the next weeks an official statement of the PBoC on this. Wink

The thing is I would say the CAC is probably more political and hardline than the PBoC, afterall these are the guys responsible for the great firewall of China. The PBoC is more concerned with economic matters and not civil freedoms. If the CAC is saying it's okay then you might as well accept the Chinese government itself is endorsing it.

Now why the hell would you want another bubble to form? There is just too much evidence of basic economics that this is not healthy for the bitcoin economy because there is always correction in the market, and with the bitcoin market it goes full retard with over correctness and will bury us below $200 again... slow and steady is always the most viable option for anyone who is truly into cryptocurrency being, well, a fucking currency rather than some get quick rich ponzi scheme.

Well it's sort of hard to apply traditional economic theory to something never before seen in history. That being said no one complained that the US Dollar ballooned in value too quickly after WW2, if something has value in the free market it will realize its true price faster than you think.

And you think the corrupted people who rule the planet will use something like a decentralize blockchain? lol

Bitcoin will eat them...

Why not? A one world currency that is public and traceable? Isn't this what they've always wanted?
