95% hashrate activation seems crazy. I can't understand why they ever thought that was going to happen.
They know it

. and remember....
to artificially limit the scaling up in favor of the private blockchain of companies and banks. This is your job.
Then alternatives appear .... private blockchains

Why is the UAHF considered just an altcoin when the UASF would have been deemed the true BTC?
If UAHF gains significant support and hashing power how is it not a threat?
It's called hypocrisy

but it's about ensuring the network is de-centralised.
I've seen all kinds of stupid explanations on these forums for what constitutes "decentralized". The current bitcoin core explanation is basically "the ability to run a node". Lol? Then you got Adam and the 400 MB block gang who didn't even bother to come up with some type of poorly constructed defintion. In reality, it's the ability for people to mine the coins directly which requires commodity off the shelf mining hardware - meaning the network is currently completely centralized. Therefore, anyone who actually cares about decentralization would be campaigning for a PoW change to GPU,
otherwise there's no reason for bitcoin to exist.
If everyone mined that would help de-centralise the network, however there is no PoW change that fixes the current one's problems.
GPU's, different algorithms, they all simply kick the centralisation problems a few months down the road. We need something new, but until that comes we are stuck with what we've got.
There's no reason for any common man off the street to support bitcoin unless he can mine it himself. Supporting bitcoin at this juncture simply means helping Jihan Wu and a handful of other monopolies become richer. Bitcoin would likely have already died if it wasn't for altcoins that could be mined then converted to BTC, otherwise the ecosystem would be entirely walled off.
But what do you say ?, what gives value to bitcoin is its usability, people buy as an investment and barely know how it works, you think they are going to put to mine? LOL. If bitcoin did not have core 4 and 5 dollar commissions many more stores would use it, more value, more people, more stores, the exponential price. But the core company is not interested

Large blocks = Gold
Segregated Witness = Fiat
Asia wants gold.
USA wants to print money.
changing bitcoins block size via politicalbattle destroys its gold like property.
So you're admitting segwit destroys bitcoins gold-like properties.
When 100% of hashpower and most actors and participants have agreed that Bitcoin have to have Segwit, then that's Bitcoin and if it doesn't have Segwit, it isn't Bitcoin. If, tomorrow, almost everybody agrees to have bigger blocks, then that will be Bitcoin and smaller blocks won't.
How is that so hard to understand?
That's a good explanation. But what happens if 51% of hashpower want bigger blocks but Core Developers refuse?
51% would be an attack. In fact that how it is defined: "The 51% attack". Consensus is somewhere around 95%. No consensus? No change.
It is undeniable that we have had the utmost consensus on the segwit issue, so: It is Bitcoin.
Miners have power, Core does too, Exchanges too, other major players and users/participants too... If almost everybody except core agree on something then you can be sure Core will be unable to avoid it.
then, 6% of hashpower can block consensus? sounds good

The most important thing is Bitcoin's price is nicely stable. I expected massive volatility with all the fork panic, but it's been fairly flat for the last five days.
According to core a hardfork was very risky

there hasn't been a hard fork in case you hadn't noticed.

Good morning Bitcoinland.
Still hanging in over $3kUSD/4kCAD basically going sideways at $3259USD (Bitcoinaverage) while Altcash continues to slide down to $208USD.
As difficulty drops on the Altcash network, transactions will speed up, allowing more people to dump their free altcoins while they can still get something for them.
Let's see what segwit brings.
Many voted for bitcoin price to reach $3,500+ by the end of this month but my prediction something might go over 5000 $+ + because it is going very fast while everyone else holding .
Many of us voted $3500 because it was the highest option available in the original poll and you can't change your vote.
The last 2 options were added after it burst past $3000 a couple if nights ago.

I can hardly believe that nobody sends spam to the bitcoin cash network with the amount of attacks that bitcoin cash is receiving in forums and social media.
It sounds pretty hypocritical to say that they are attacking the bitwit network when they do not stop attacking bitcon cash.
If they could attack the bch network with spam they would do it, there is simply no spam in any chain, it comes out too expensive
Bitmain and friends is spamming Bitcoin. If the low fee transactions actually go through then they have a more than 50% chance of mining their own fees back. Even if they don't they've driven up everyone else's fees to pay for it.
For anyone other than Bitmain to spam Bcash they'd have to buy it and kiss it goodbye forever as no one other than Bitmain is mining it. Who'd want to bother doing that?
With the amount of spam that they say they are sending the truth that it costs me to find transactions with really low rates, I must have bad aim

That's the kind of retarded banality Roger would come up with. Just sayin'.

The answer to transactions without corfirming, is simply spam
But nobody is able to show me 10 transactions at a reduced rate, there are supposed to be thousands

All you have to do is visit
https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#24h scroll down and easily see that over half the transactions in memory pool paid a miner fee of 0 - 5 satoshi/byte. Are those legitimate transactions or spam? Most likely latter.
Being more than half spam because I can not find a single transaction with a really low rate? Excuse my ignorance

It's because you're not welcome. Make like a tree and bounce. We're trying to Wall Observer in peace.

How unfortunate your comment, I've been in this for more than three years and I thought that this censorship did not reach this forum.
Just comment on the unconfirmed transactions to see if someone could clarify if they were spam or not. Nobody could prove it, then they censored me.
and now comes an unpresentable and tells me that I'm not welcome here
haha Let's add intimidation and harassment to the list of regrettable behaviors
I am ashamed of you

Yesterday I spoke about the unconfirmed transactions in the "wall observer" forum, many commented that they were spam transactions in the network to discredit it.
After several exchanges nobody could show me a bitcon transaction with really low rate.
This morning all my posts have been deleted. wtf? I thought there was only censorship in reddit.
Has someone else happened to you?
You are a pack of lies. Multiple people showed you plenty of times. Prick.
Maybe the liar is you.
I only asked them to show me a transaction with the really low quota to consider it spam.
I'm still waiting, instead, they censored all my posts.
Maybe you should rethink your basics and stop thinking what you are told to think

No. You don't get it. Fuck off. This is not a thread to discuss transaction esoterica.
Take it to another thread.
