Wow, what a day. All my shorts up to 520 filled, but i cant say im feeling comfy.
Still hard to believe that this is it, the turnaround we've been waiting for on such anemic volume. I'll take a hit at around 600 and rebuy.
Exactly the way I feel. My last short position failed to fill at 527, even though that was exactly the high. That last runup on Houbi to the resistance line was on very very low volume compared the other runups.
Maybe we have more in the tank. Maybe we go to the exponential trendline. But this doesn't feel like a bottom to me. This feels like a bunch of traders riding the wave on an appearance of a bottom.
I don't think we just break down to new intermediate lows (340) and then recover on low volume. I'm betting I make a profit on this trade. If not and it goes to 600+ then I'll just take the hit.
Maybe by Thursday, we will be $620?
most likely this could happen before midnight (masses again).

Note that those "Chinese Slumber" predictions are tests of a conjecture about the Huobi prices at late night local time being more predictable than prices at other exchanges or other times, or daily mean prices. They are not meant to be taken as trading advice; readers beware.
That said, the prediction is at the top of the post: it says that the price at Huobi at the stated hour (~19:30 UTC) will be 2837 CNY, sightly higher than the last price at the same hour (2818 CNY). The method does not try to predict the price between those two moments.

The bad news are already out there: May/10 seems to be for real, one Chinese exchange already closed, and the CEOs of the other exchanges apparently can't find anything upbeat to say. Not at all like a month ago, after the Caixin leak, when they thought that they had found workarounds.
I can't see why the price would not go below 2300 CNY (~375 USD) by the end of the week. It got there on Apr/11, on mere

Just to think about... There was 4 days no fresh fiat on bitstamp, at least 3 days on kraken (don't know if fidor worked on friday) and and other exchanges inside EU zone, 2 days (weekend) on other exchanges. Here is also china FUD... So bottom line, we didn't even fall so much

Looking at the order book on bitstamp, price should go higher in the short term (in the long term I am sure that by the end of the year, price will get to a level of at least 2.000 USD).
But coming back to today's situation: there are 5.327 BTC to be sold, and on the other side they are 6.231 BTC to be purchased. This basically means that at this moment the sell orders CAN NOT cover the buy orders within the same range, so price will have to increase.
The demand for BTC is 15% higher than the offer => price will increase in the short run.

I just noticed the 1W MACD, after the last few bubbles, it would finally turn green then went back red for a week or two then once it broke green the second time the next bubble started. We have only gone green the first time since the last bubble. That may be holding back some TA strict whales. That doesn't necessarily mean it has to happen, as now I think the market participation is so big people will try to jump the gun and may keep the MACD from turning back red. All it would take is one whale to dump and make it red, but who would take the risk?
I think you are right with that, and MACD is clear, it should be red now but i guess we will have to wait for one more week for that to happen.

Yeah those theories are far-fetched. They show, no one actually knows what or if some news caused the crash. Ethereum... are the coins still there? A bubble doesn't get called off if it's one day late. Also, it's not as if the price is declining at an increasing speed.
