feels like might be some incoming ... alts going nutz, bitfinex price gap closing up, funds are on the move.
The only alt that has any upside potential left right now is Litecoin. Both Eth and Ripple were raised by the scam of creating coins out of thin air, sending them to Bologniex, then margin leveraging their illiquid asset higher. I think Darkcoin preminers conspired together to do the same thing. Now all those coins are in bubble territory with no room to run anymore and about the only alt I can imagine making a move is Litecoin going to something like .02 - 0.04.
ZEC is already at 0.7.
Only need to tripple to reach this.
We need to face it, BTC marketdominance will go to 30% in a couple of months from now.
Still going to 10 000 USD, but crypto as a whole will develop really really fast.
BTC will be the USD/gold of crypto.

Interesting BTC is going down considering how bullish the current situation is. I take it most people are under this cloud of uncertainty propagated by the BTC elites regarding segwit2x. Goes to show how misinformed the general crypto populace is regarding present state of affairs. What do the masses believe? Whatever the fuck you tell them.

Miners wanted to make it look as if Segwit may not get locked in this period as to accumulate some remaining cheap coins then come back last minute and save the day. This way they are able to obtain cheap coins as well as garner the trust of the community when we face further impasses such as the 2mb HF.

An altcoin spinoff Viabtc and Bitmain are starting off of Bitcoin ABC , with very large bloated blocks an a % of their hashrate.
Yes , if you control your private keys on aug 1 first you can split and dump these tokens and reinvest in BTC.

This is what is giving me pause deciding to sell BCH. As is, it provides a free protection option from this possible mess in November, so its utility in my eyes is more than the dumping gains at the moment.

You are forgetting the Users, we have the power, we buy the coins, and ultimately we determine the consensus.
The businesses and miners are just service providers, some have deep wallets, but they are not bottomless.

You are right, users do have the power. They have the power to determine consensus after the decisions of the economic majority have been made. The interests of the economic majority is to appease it's users through making a long term working product which the free market will want; not to intentionally destroy their own investment. More demand turns into more profit for these interests.
If you the user believe the economic majority to be making the wrong decision you are free to go support another project. After all, you hold the power.

Not really a big deal. Tether is centralized so the stolen funds are good as dead.
Also tether reiterated that all Tethers are fully backed by reserves which makes me believe they are soon to release compelling evidence proving so.
So in conclusion the stolen tethers are a non issue and we have a statement that Tether is legit.
